We've been visiting my mother for 18 months now and it is such a warm and friendly place to be! We can visit her for coffee and chats and be in the lovely conservatory or in her room if she is tired. We are continually impressed with the kind staff who all know my mother very well - even the smallest
of details regarding diet, activity, mood and increasing levels of personal care needed. I don't know how the communication amongst staff is so strong - it is v impressive! Just this morning I was going through her wardrobe - laundry is done immaculately (we have marked it all) and her room is always fresh and spotless - just how my mother lived at home!!
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Malden HouseThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that you find the home warm and welcoming, and that our staff's kindness, communication, and attention to detail have made such a positive impression. We are also pleased that you are happy with the cleanliness of your mother's room and the care taken with her laundry. Your kind words mean a great deal to us.

I can't thank the team enough for the care and kindness they've shown my Grandma. Once reluctant to go into a care home, she quickly grew fond of the staff, environment and care provided. The staff are genuinely compassionate, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to make residents feel
comfortable and valued. The home itself truly feels like a home rather than a facility.
It has given myself and my family real peace of mind knowing my grandma is so well looked after. Highly recommend.

My mum has been in West Cliff for I think nearly 4 years, and I dont have any complaints at all, Repeka is always available for any concerns I might have, she is always helpful and always very nice. I also like Chelsey again never too busy to help if I need to talk about anything. In fact all the staff
are nice. I think most of them like my mum. I hope so, and for me its just knowing she is warm, safe, getting fed, and her meds at right times cos then she dosent get any seizures anymore, which was aworry years ago. Her memory is going downhill now and she is up and down so she is in the best place now. Thank you.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum went to stay in Alton Place initially for respite care, but when the time came for her to go back to her own home, she preferred stay. Alton Place, to us, seems a shining example of how a home for people requiring care should be. The whole place is full of laughter, activity and also quiet times
when preferred. The rooms are spacious and the house management team were happy to help make Mum's room feel her own with personal pictures and cherished items. The activity agenda is so varied, covering all sorts of things Mum hasn't done for years( if ever !). But along with the scheduled activities, there is an amazing spontaneity to events too, for example just getting in the van and going to look at the Christmas lights or doing the latest dance trend for the social media page. We couldn't be more happy with our choice of residence for our lovely Mum and feel blessed we found Alton Place.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Alton PlaceThank you so much for your lovely review. We're delighted to hear your mum felt so happy and at home with us that she chose to stay permanently. It's wonderful to know she's enjoying the activities, fun experiences, and warm atmosphere at Alton Place. My mother has blossomed since she has been at West Cliff hall, she has been at the home for nearly a year... she is always saying how lovely the home is.... and how nice the food is!... All the staff are so friendly to mum and myself nothing us too much trouble for any of them. Mums room has a view
over the water and she loves seeing the ships come in and out of the docks. When ever we visit there are always activities going on... mum always joins in!!! Her favourite activity is when Louise reads a story ... mum loves being read to!!!
I often book in to have a meal with mum and her two friends she has met there, oh my goodness there meals are delicious. I cannot recommend West Cliffe highly enough...I looked at a few and I'm so happy I chose West Cliffe...... mum is so very very happy there !!!
