Review of Cotswolds Rise Care Home from Graham W (Husband of Resident) published on 9 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Celia went in June and seemed happy straight away, had difficulties at other care homes when on respite.the staff were helpful and made her feel at home. Has been there 2 months now and is well settled into life in a home. The staff seem well trained and helpful the food is good (she's put on weight) the rooms are good and locked when no one in them(good idea)my only criticism would be communication could be better ie when told will call back that day they actually would.all in all a nice place with good staff

Review of Aldergrove Manor Care Home from Laura T (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My dad was placed in Aldergrive Manor on discharge from hospital for respite care. From the moment that he arrived, his care that he received was amazing, caring and compassionate. As his daughter I found that all staff were so friendly and welcoming. Even though dad was in for a short time I am so grateful to them for how they looked after him. I would highly recommend this care home and want to thank each and every member of staff there for the professionalism and care that they showed. Thankyou

Review of Belford House from E H (Wife of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Website

Staff and management always on hand to speak to.
Plenty of carers on hand to attend to the needs of the residents.
Lovely setting and grounds.
Very well appointed bedrooms.

Could do with a few more fans or improved air con, to combat the excessive heat we've been experiencing, and probably will in coming years.

Review of Bethel House from Celia S (Sister of Resident) published on 2 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
We are very pleased that my sister has settled into Bethel House extremely well. She has a good relationship with the staff

and appreciates the care they give her, as do we. My sister sometimes helps fold table napkins, giving her a sense of purpose and achievement. We can rest assured that she is in very competent and capable hands. Although the staff have a busy job they always make time to listen to my sister if she has any concern she wishes to discuss. A big 'thank you' to everyone at Bethel House.

Always a pleasure to visit our Mum who has altziemers but has a smile on her face almost continuously as she is so happy in Doledd. She has regained her mobility as the staff have encouraged her to participate in the many activities provided. Review of Bethel House from Kate S (Sister of Resident) published on 26 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My brother has now been a resident at Bethel House for about a year and is so happy there. The wonderful staff work so hard to make him feel at home and to give him everything he needs. He is regularly taken out for walks and enjoys the many activities which are organised for the residents. The staff constantly interact with the residents to ensure they are happy and there is a lovely, relaxed and homely feel where everyone looks happy.

Review of Bethel House from P C (Wife of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Website

Bethel House staff are so caring and all go the extra mile to look after our loved ones. There is a family atmosphere for all the residents, good home cooked food and nursing services combine to give everyone a comfortable life. Only criticism is that they are still without an entertainment organiser which for my husband is important. Events are still being organised but not to the level of the previous year.

Reply from Abbey Doyle, Manager at Bethel House

Thank you for your lovely feedback and for recognising the care, kindness and family atmosphere at Bethel House. Review of Hawkinge House & PAU from H G (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Absolutely appalling standard of care, not convinced the staff even know the NMC code let alone practice it. Literally the fault is with the poor care that resulted in a broken hip. Disgusting when my mum appeared to be on the mend. There were multiple issues which still probably occur every day to other patients. CQC this place and get it improved.

Review of Broughton Hall from Aled J (Son of Resident) published on 24 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

Waiting time to be seen by Staff once bell has been rung is very long. Mainly for toilet visits. Appears that home is short on staff at times. My mum can not visit the toilet without assistance. More often than not She has to wet herself before staff arrive. We are buying her incontinence pants due to the lengthy waiting times.

The quality of the food has deteriorated in the last 6 months.

Our Mum has only been at Beech Tree for a couple of months. The change in her mood and mobility has greatly improved. She had spent a good few months in hospital before moving in.

My father was cared for in The Lodge for 18 months. He died on 17th May. He had advanced dementia with significant needs. The staff at the Lodge were exemplary. Everyone treated him with kindness and patience. They were interested in him as an individual and worked with us to ensure the care provided suited his needs. They were flexible and very supportive of me and my sister at what was a distressing time.

Review of Hartford Court from A B (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
We were very happy with the love and care shown to Mum. Appreciative of the short notice respite care, that moved into permanent care.
John and Amanda supportive and kind as were all staff we engaged with. Although Mums stay was short, she was well looked after and seemed happy every time we visited. Never anxious to return when we went out either, which is comforting.
I would have no hesitation in recommending HC to other families looking for dementia care for loved ones.
A real homely environment.

Thank you.

Review of Moorhill from Graham W (Friend of Resident) published on 20 August 2026 Submitted via Website

Moorhill has proved a truly exceptional care home to entrust the residential care for my/our close friend of many years. The facilities are amazing and so adaptable to individual and collective need. Staff are welcoming, professional and always prepared to go that extra mile to accommodate specific requirements or requests, as they feel able.
A huge thank you to Elliot and the team for recently facilitating traditional afternoon tea that I had arranged for three resident and 17 relatives and close friends, who we realised shared a common bond of comradeship in excess of 50 years. The event proved to be such a success and so memorable.

In summation, a care home like no other I have experienced. Thank you.
