My wife recently stayed for three nights for respite care, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with its own ensuite, and the lounges were lovely and welcoming.

What really stood out was how helpful, friendly and responsive all the staff were. From our very first enquiry right through to the end of her stay, everyone was so approachable and supportive, which made the whole process much easier and gave us real peace of mind.

We're very grateful for the care and kindness shown to my wife and would have no hesitation in using their respite care services again. It's reassuring to know we have somewhere we feel confident and comfortable returning to. Thank you to the whole team!

Dad arrived at Hawkinge after six weeks in hospital ,following a fall . During this time ,his mental capacity had seriously deteriorated, he'd lost the use of his legs, his core strength was weak,he struggled to use his arms,and had lost a lot of weight. Within two weeks of being at Hawkinge Dad was managing to feed himself. He gradually gained weight and his core strength became stronger. Although he can no longer walk,the improvement he has made, means,he no longer has to be hoisted or use a tilt and slide chair. This is all down to the care ,kindness and nurturing environment that Hawkinge provides.Dad was always happy ,when I visited,and clearly felt safe. I was always kept up to date with Dads needs and progress,and I had real peace of mind. Thank you Hawkinge House,you've given my Dad back to me.

The staff are brilliant and very helpfull The rooms are good and the leisure room sufficient but could be made more homely with furnishing and maybe a seating area with nice setees for family visits. The activity girls are brilliant and very encouraging of the residents' needs.

My mother, Margaret, was admitted into your care from Walsall Manor on 24/8/26. She was settled into Room 58, where she remained till she passed on 21/9/26. The managers, nursing staff and the care staff were all very kind, considerate, helpful & professional with the attention shown to my Mother. The Home itself (Delves Court) was bright, airy & with an atmosphere of calm for the residents. Thank you for making her last few weeks as comfortable and pain free as you possibly could.

My Uncle was taken in by West Cliff Hall shortly after his wife passed away in December 2024 as he was unable to care for himself due to his Parkinsons and Dementia. He was instantly made to feel welcome and looked after with the highest quality care. Since arriving the staff all engage with him and involve him in appropriate activities and he has become quite a well known character within the home. He speaks very highly of the staff, food and the facilities, loves his room and appears very settled. It is a great comfort to his family to know that he is being so well looked after by the West Cliff Team.

Malden House has been caring for my Stepmother for several years now. She is very well looked after, the staff are very friendly and she is very happy there. I think it would be difficult if not impossible to find another home in the Sidmouth area with such amazing staff. The home is well managed, has lots of activities for residents and all the staff know my Stepmothers name and treat her at all times with affection and dignity. Each time I leave the home I know that she is in extremely safe hands.

Mom was only there from July until she sadly passed away in September but in that time, the staff made a real difference to her and to our family. They treated her with kindness, dignity and respect, and showed so much patience and understanding, even during the more difficult moments. What stood out most was the genuine compassion they showed. We felt that Mom was cared for as a person, not simply as a resident. The staff took the time to comfort her, support her and make sure she was as comfortable and settled as possible. Losing someone you love is incredibly difficult, but knowing Mom was surrounded by people who cared for her with such kindness gave our family great comfort. We cannot thank the whole team enough for everything they did for Mom and for the support they gave us during such a heartbreaking time. Thank you

My nan loves being at the home! The activites and food and everything that happens she loves. The carers take excellent care of her and make her feel really welcome. My Grandad was also here before he passed and he was treated exactly the same

Fells very secure and looked after and the food is excellent .

Words cannot express how outstanding Cornford House is. We will always be grateful she spent the last part of her life in such loving hands and wish we had found them sooner - we need more homes like this.

My brothers and I are very pleased with the way mum is looked after. She's mostly clean. when we visit and now shes joining in some of the games it's really nice to see photoes of her.

The help and attention that has been given to my wife since she has been a resident in Harlow House has been excellent. The friendliness and helpfulness show by the staff to residents and visitors seems genuine and nothing seems too much trouble. I'm glad that we chose Harlow Hall.

We are confident that she is being well cared for and we're so pleased they had a room available for Mum when she needed it.

The stay for my friend has been good

Although I did not personally try the food, Mum generally enjoyed most of the meals provided. Overall, our experience of Harlow Hall was extremely positive. I am very grateful for the care and support Mum received.

My husband has been at Moorhill Care Home for just over a month, and so far I have been very happy with his experience. The carers are kind, caring and attentive, and I really appreciate the way they check on him and ask if he needs anything, such as a drink or any other help. Whenever he presses the call button, someone responds promptly, which gives me peace of mind. The home is new, clean, modern and very pleasant. I would like to give a big thumbs up to all the carers for their hard work, care and attention. Overall, I am very happy with our experience so far.
