My father has been a resident at Aden View for over 3 years, and the care he is given is extremely good. The staff are friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. My father has told us many times how well he is being cared for and how all his needs are met. I would not hesitate to recommend Aden View to anyone needing care for a loved one.

Completely happy with the level of service and care provided by Rebecca and her staff at the Barnfield care home.
The home is clean and well maintained and there's no shortage of attention from the staff when needed and my partner was looked after caringly throughout her stay there.

I was very grateful for this Service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barnfield.

My dad resided in this care home for almost 2 years until he died there this month, i have absolutely no complaints about the care staff who looked after him , indeed some were exceptional, however we did feel at times as he was no trouble to them as they often stated , that he was left to his own devices and was often unkempt, their reply to our questions were he wont let us do anything, i feel if they had had the time and adequate staffing to take time to persuade him to have care this could have been overcome.
Room and bedding were often dirty and only when we asked for it to be sorted was it done.
Manager was indifferent to our concerns and did not seem to be bothered.
When my dad became end of life which was recognised by myself I had to speak to doctors on call to review him and get necessary drugs in place.
Staff did not recognise that dad was dying and continued to try and give food and fluids even when he was unconscious.

Training inadequate for staff.

My father came into this home for a period of short stay, everything we asked for he received, every staff member, from the amazing care team to the manager himself, we felt went above and beyond to ensure he was made to feel at home. We couldn't ask for better and will certainly look at future return.

Overall Experience

My mum was fast tracked from hospital to Aden Mount. She spent the last five days of her life here. Everyone was super caring from the moment she arrived. After being treated as a 'bed number' for 4 weeks in hospital it was a relief that she was cared for so well. She was given her dignity, made comfortable and everyone treated her with respect. Her stay was short due to her ill health. The day before she passed she told me she was happy and she was convinced she had lived there a year. I couldn't ask for more.

I have only been here a short length of time but already have found all members of staff extremely kind, caring & helpful. It has been a hard transition, but everyone has tried to make this so easy as possible.

Very impressed with the overall care home experience/journey from the initial acceptance meetings, onboarding, settling-in period and now full service.
In particular would like to emphasise that we are encouraged to treat the home as though it was 'dad's home' and an open-door policy ( not literally the outside door ! ).
Staff are very accessible and have been detailed and informative, especially during one challenging episode. There has been an issue with the lift; however, this now appears to have been resolved, and during this time, it was arranged to change dad's room, which was very well received by mum.
Only one suggestion for an improvement and that would be if there could be an outside covered seating area at the back of the home (maybe a day hut ).

Acknowledge that there is presently outside seating both at the front and rear.

The staff and manageress are very kind to the resident's and visitor.
There is a very friendly atmosphere.

When I went to see Mum I ask one of the staff if they new were mum was as she could have in any of the three rooms straight away she told us. I feel resured that mum is cared for and safe.

I can't thank everyone at the care home enough for the kindness, care, and support they showed mum during her stay. Every member of staff treated mum with dignity, compassion, and respect, always going the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable and well looked after.
The home was clean, welcoming, and had such a friendly atmosphere. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the genuine care shown by everyone made a difficult time so much easier.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for excellent residential care. Thank you all for everything you have done - you are truly amazing.

My mum has been in the care home for over 3 years. I have got to know most of the staff who look after mum, who I think are brilliant and go that extra mile. All the different categories of staff are very helpful to my mum and my family. The decor inside the building and the entrance of the building is dated, and this could do with an uplift. I am not complaining; it's an observation.

It was so hard to come to terms with the fact that my lovely mum needed 24-hour care. Aaron Grange was the choice we made for her. The care my mum receives is second to none. Yes, it is an old building, but the warm feeling you get as you come through the front door is unbelievable. The staff, from management to seniors to carers, are so professional and caring. Thanks to each and every one of you for looking after my mum.

My mother recently moved into Simonsfield following a brief spell in hospital. This came with the obvious concern and apprehension to all our family about mum's care in her latter years. Having now settled, we genuinely need not of been so worried as the care is simply exceptional! All staff are warm, friendly but most importantly their dedication to care is second to none. All mums needs are being catered for, the home is clean, bright, serving fresh quality food and theirs always something going on. Bingo, Quiz nights, pet visits, local artists, it really is exactly how a care home should look. I can't begin to thank the team at Simonsfield enough, their job is extremely demanding and I do hope they're rewarded for it because without them the care wouldn't be the same. Thanks to all at Simonsfield and please know that despite the tough job you do, you really are appreciated. Many thanks

I have found all aspects of care for my sister excellent. The staff have a happy and caring attitude towards the patients and their families, The rooms are clean and comfortable with every facility which may be required.
