Trymview Hall

My wife has been a resident at Trymview Hall Care Home for just over 2 years.
The carers are very caring and professional and my wife is pleased with the way she is looked after.
She finds it hard to be interested in eating. This is as a result of a stroke which occurred in 2012 following a series
of cardiac arrests. The food provided is excellent,so Pat's lack of interest is no reflection of the catering arrangements. The home do try very hard to provide food that she does want.
Her room is kept reasonably tidy although it could probably do with a spring clean and a new carpet (it receives a lot of wear due to Pat spilling tomato juice ,her source of liquid intake).
Overall,I think Trymview Hall is very well kept and staffed by very dedicated, caring and professional people.

My wife has to wait far too long when using the buzzer, when she needs the toilet. Carers will come in and turn the buzzer off and say they will be back soon with more help, but then there is another long wait! Sometimes my wife has been waiting for 30 mins and one hour on frequent occasions, this is
not acceptable and could be down to staffing shortages?

After the local hospital told me my mum was being sent home, even though she was not well enough, I had just three days to find some accommodation for her! Luckily my sister found & arranged a visit to Trymview Hall which I visited with my dad, and, thanks to the manager, we were able to get my mum
a place for some respite care. She's now been in there two months and I cannot find fault with anything concerning her stay. The home is bright and clean, the staff are caring, supportive and very accommodating with visitors, (even ones like myself). The food, surroundings and ambiance are all first class and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a home for their parents / themselves. Big shout to the manager and 3 other members of staff in particular and all the staff, keep up the good work!!!

The quality of the premises and the friendliness of the staff made for an enjoyable stay. The activities were unreliable in taking place at the noted time or even taking place. It would be useful to have activities in the evening.

My mother was in Trymview Hall on respite for 3 months. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and thought the carers were lovely, friendly and helpful. She was also impressed by the food on offer and the standards of cleanliness and the level of comfort in her room. She would be very happy to stay there
again.

Our Mum was a resident of St Georges Care Home in Bristol from December 2023 to February 2025.
She was happy at the Home and it was very reassuring that when we left her after a visit, she was safe and taken care of.
The staff were very good and very patient with her and she had her favorites.
Whilst
Mum was a resident at the home, she believed that she still lived in her flat and this made her very content (she suffered with Dementia), Overall. St Georges was very good

My father stayed at Trymview Hall for a brief period whilst we found him a permanent home. We were so pleased with his time here. The care team are so friendly and patient, especially with residents living with dementia. It was lovely to see the trusting relationships they had built with the residents.
Nicola was really supportive to myself and my family. Great facilities onsite including an incredible garden with loads of plants and herbs growing and chickens who are allowed to roam freely throughout the day.

My wife has been a resident at the home for four weeks and I have found the care provided by the staff to be very good and very caring. I have had several problems with a resident entering my wife's room, causing her distress and despite my family making complaints, this continues to happen daily.

I spent four weeks respite care at Trymview Hall and was completed satisfied with my stay there. Their ambience is great. The facilities are spotlessly clean. Their staff are caring, efficient and cheerful and always greet you with a smile. The food is very good and the chef visited me to discuss what
my choice of food would be. The entertainment is a little unpredictable for various reasons but a lot of good surprises. It will certainly be top of my list when the time comes for me to move from my home. Thank you everyone.

My mother moved here almost two years ago, and we cannot fault the home or the team. The whole team were very supportive in getting her settled and she is now very happy. Her room is lovely - she is fortunate to have one of the rooms with direct garden access. The garden is very sunny in summer and
is well maintained. The terraces are well-used with a lot of space to sit and watch. The chef and his team do a very good job of providing a varied and interesting menu and my mother comments most days on just how good the food is. The care team on her wing look after them all very well, and my mother says that she can find no fault. They have a wide range of activities and there are outings most days, which seem to be very popular. We are very glad we chose Trymview when we finally had to move my mother out of her own home and cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother has been a resident of Trymview for two years and we cannot fault the personal care and attention she has received from both the carers and the management staff. In particular, we are extremely grateful for the additional support we recently received during a difficult period of ill health.
All staff went above and beyond to support us all as a family, ensuring that my mother was still able to attend the medical appointments that we normally take her to. Thank you to all the staff at Trymview for their hard work and dedication at all times.

Mum came to Trymview in May 2021, a desperately difficult time for her as she was in denial regarding her dementia which was becoming unhealthy and very difficult to manage. The extraordinary level of care and attention from the Trymview carers very quickly restored her health and vitality sufficiently
for Mum to start grumbling to her family as usual! Nevertheless, Trymview's patience and understanding went above and beyond in all respects so far as we could see. No one should have to suffer the advances of dementia, however, we are sure as sure can be, that at 97 and now largely immobile, Mum is in the best possible place at Trymview Hall.

I stayed in Trymview for four weeks following major surgery. I found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough. The standard of the facilities and food was excellent. The garden was a lovely place to sit and walk in when the weather permitted. I would thoroughly recommend Trymview
