Very good care home. Kind and professional team. They are taking a good care of my grandfather and other residents. They are always happy to help in any way they can and answer for any questions which may arise.

This nursing home and it's staff were fantastic! They were professional, kind, compassionate and beyond helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were excellent and the care given superb. I would highly recommend this nursing home and can only say a million thankyous!

I am very grateful to the team at Heathlands House for the excellent care they provide for my grandma. The staff are kind, compassionate, and always look after her. They keep us informed and make sure she is comfortable, safe, and looked after at all times. I would highly recommend Heathlands House to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

I cannot recommend Heathland House highly enough. From the moment my auntie moved in, the entire team has treated her with utmost dignity, compassion, and respect. The staff are incredibly warm and go out of their way to make relatives feel like part of the family. The food is excellent, and there is always a great variety of activities that keep residents engaged. It is such a huge comfort knowing my loved one is safe and happy.

C was a respite resident for approximately 3/4 months awaiting purchase of his own home. The home appeared well presented, staffed and pleasant. Our preference for C would've been a ground floor placement due to the more sociable and 'residential' nature of this part of the home. C was placed on the 1st floor with residents with dementia and other needs. His room was spacious and modern. C would on occasion complain at the lack of basic support provided; shaving, towels in the bathroom, bedding changes and overall cleanliness could be hit and miss depending on the staff. He enjoyed the range of food, staff friendliness, the cafe facilities on the ground floor. The laundry service appeared well run.

I have awarded a 'good' rating based on his opinion, however personally I felt satisfactory was more appropriate given expectations on value for money. He was paying a lot of money per month. I was disappointed that basic care at times was missed. Also reception staffing at weekends.

The staff were all amazing. They were kind and caring, patient and encouraging. Under their care and encouragement she was able to start to eat a little more, and to extend her periods of mobility until she was able to walk to the entrance hall with her walker. Her motivation was to go home and her stay in the care home fully equipped her for that transition to take place smoothly. She would not have been able to leave hospital without this respite care and I have nothing but praise for the staff who made her stay as easy as possible.

I think this place is lovely for my mum, she came in for a week, and would come back its tidy clean staff lovely my father and mother in law are here so I know it is nice here, food good, would put myself in here when the time comes!

My mother moved into Field Lodge just before March and settled straight into the home and its very friendly and supportive atmosphere. Since then she has felt very at home and says hello to everyone, who say hello back. The level of care so far is very good and I would have no hesitation recommending Field Lodge to anyone in a similar position. My mother has dementia, so has a few foibles and funny moments, but it has all gone smoothly.

All questions and requests are dealt with in a courteous and professional way. It is not possible to criticise any part of Field Lodge as it is a profession/calling of a position for all the management and staff.

Losing him has been incredibly hard, but I am truly grateful that his last year was spent somewhere he was looked after with respect and kindnesses. Thank you

The Care Home has a lovely welcoming atmosphere with staff trying very hard to please both residents and visitors. Despite clearly being short staffed at times, particularly at weekends, staff do listen carefully to comments and suggestions presented to them. However, perhaps owing to overload there is not always evidence of follow through. The Care Home is well laid out with light and large sitting/dining rooms promoting a look and comfort closer to a good hotel rather than a care home. The bedrooms are excellent, very warm with plenty of storage space. My experience as a visitor has been very positive although I am not always sure that my father, who has dementia, is getting as much attention as I would prefer. There are many more female than male residents and lots of activities to keep most residents active, happy and involved. Alas my father has not really got involved with much and I recommended that more activities might be laid on that would be of greater interest to some men not into singing and dance. I note that this is already being reviewed and I wait to see if it is followed through.

Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean with an open feel, e.g. wide corridors. Relaxing lounge area. Cafe, cinema, hair salon, garden entrance nicely placed close to reception. Car park makes visiting easy.

I cannot fault the care support and dignity shown to my nan by all the staff. Knowing nan is safe and all her needs are met, is such a relief to our family. The staff treat nan like she's their own nan which we love. I/we have every trust in the care Waterhouse Manor provides. Thank you all so much.

We cannot fault Waterhouse Manor in everything and anything. We love the staff's attention to detail their care of everyone they obviously love their jobs and we get the feeling they like and care for the residents. When we've a problem however small its always been dealt with quickly with dignity ad with excellent results. The food seems to be very good - the only complaint is the tea is made too weak and too milky. Full fat milk should not be put in tea it defeats the object of mum drinking enough.

My mother came to the home for respite care following the death of her husband. The staff could not have been more helpful, encouraging her to join activities, moving her to a room where she had more company and finding her mobile phone for her! Her room is lovely and all the facilities are beautifuly clean and well maintained.

We have been blown away with the level of care for Mum, the wonderful, varied activities available for residents, and the way the home is such a warm, loving place for us all to visit.

The staff could not be kinder, and really go above and beyond to support both residents and family. I cannot recommend Field Lodge highly enough.

My stay here has been an enjoyable experience. I will be returning home in the next few days, a fitter person than when I came with improved health, mobility and wellbeing. My treatment, as a client, from all staff has been wonderful, and everyone is friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for more.

I have written previous reviews whilst my mum was a resident at Field Lodge. This is my last review of her final journey in which Field Lodge staff showed love and care every step of the way leading up to mums passing. Our family felt well and truly supported and for my mum to remain in the comfort of her bedroom and have a peaceful and dignified end meant so much to us True professionals giving genuine heartfelt sympathy, love and care.
