We cannot fault Waterhouse Manor in everything and anything. We love the staff's attention to detail their care of everyone they obviously love their jobs and we get the feeling they like and care for the residents. When we've a problem however small its always been dealt with quickly with dignity ad
with excellent results. The food seems to be very good - the only complaint is the tea is made too weak and too milky. Full fat milk should not be put in tea it defeats the object of mum drinking enough.
Reply from Jessica Ellis, General Manager at Waterhouse ManorThank you so much for such a lovely review, this will be passed on to the team. Semi skimmed milk is available and has been added as preference to your mothers care plans. Thank you for your ongoing support, it is appreciated.

My mother came to the home for respite care following the death of her husband. The staff could not have been more helpful, encouraging her to join activities, moving her to a room where she had more company and finding her mobile phone for her! Her room is lovely and all the facilities are beautifuly
clean and well maintained.
Reply from Beverley Tyrrell, Reviews Team at Field LodgeThank you so much for your kind words. We were honored to support your mother during such a difficult time.
It is wonderful to hear that our team's efforts - from encouraging her to join activities, to helping with the small things like her phone - made her stay more comfortable.

I have written previous reviews whilst my mum was a resident at Field Lodge. This is my last review of her final journey in which Field Lodge staff showed love and care every step of the way leading up to mums passing. Our family felt well and truly supported and for my mum to remain in the comfort
of her bedroom and have a peaceful and dignified end meant so much to us True professionals giving genuine heartfelt sympathy, love and care. Thank you Field Lodge

I stayed with Heathlands House from 8th October to 22nd October to recover from a bad fall in Spain. The care I received was excellent. The staff were very efficient, professional and very caring. Nothing was lacking at all. The catering was better than any top class hotel I have visited around the
world. It was very 'home from home' and welcoming. I would not hesitate to recommend Heathlands to anyone. Thank you so much.

Moving a loved one into a care home can be one of the hardest decisions to make. Thankfully, Heathlands House made the whole transition smooth and mum settled in quickly. She's been on the ground floor for over a year now and is thriving. Heathlands feels like a home from home and what makes it truly
special is the staff - they genuinely care, don't use agencies, and go the extra mile. English isn't her first language, yet staff try to connect with her using the odd word or translator. We started at another care home so can say that the ratios here are better, and while no home can fully replicate 1:1 care, HH comes very close! The place is clean, the café area is sociable, with regular entertainment. Staff are wonderful and kind, and the food is excellent (especially the cakes!) There's a real sense of community; a Catholic priest even visits fortnightly to say Mass. Management are approachable, have high standards and are open to feedback. I wholeheartedly recommend Heathlands.

My Mum has been a resident for 1 year now, being one of the first to move in. From our very first visit, I knew Mum would be well cared for and happy. The staff are all amazing, the care and patience with everyone is reassuring. Facilities, activities and special events make this an outstanding care
home.
We are welcomed as one of the family whenever we visit. For Mum's 98th birthday last week they arranged for us to use one of the lounges, decorated with banners and provided an excellent afternoon tea, despite having a dog show and fete to organise the same day.
I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Waterhouse Manor, and would not hesitate to recommend the home for your loved one!

I had a good feeling as soon as I walked into the care home. Ben on the front desk was welcoming and helpful. After viewing the facilities I thought my Dad would like to be here and be well looked after. He has now been a resident for almost a month and he seems happy and content with his new home.
The process involved a good deal of stress, however Sorcha answered all questions and provided great reassurance. In the limited time I have had to visit all of the staff have been friendly and attentive to our needs. Dan was super helpful with sorting practical jobs in Dad's room.

My mother received excellent, kind and compassionate care for over a year at Heathlands. We really appreciated how stable the staff team was, which meant she knew her carers well, and we did too. The staff were sensitive to changes in her needs (through a lot of change in that time) and took action
to provide what was required for her. They were always cheerful, friendly and professional.
The food was delicious and appetising, and the chef and team really cared about each individual resident, wanting them to have the best possible experience.
My mother's room was very comfortable and spacious, and she enjoyed going into the garden, which is a lovely space to have for a city-based care home. Although she was not able to take part in many of the group activities, the team were always available and looking at ways they could help.
There was a really lovely welcome to visitors, a feeling of community, and at the end of her life everyone was so supportive and genuinely caring.

Our mother is currently a resident at Heathlands House, moving in permanently last August 2024. This potentially difficult transition has been an unmitigated success and is a really positive story. The home itself is very comfortable and extremely pleasant, but it is the staff, without exception,
that make this care home next level! They are are wonderful: kind, good humoured and funny, The lifestyle team in particular have such an intelligent empathetic attentiveness towards each and every resident that nothing is too big or small for them to suggest or provide, enabling the residents to have fulfilling and joyful lives at the home. Our mother is so happy here, and sincerely appreciates her care; she praises it constantly, be it to the BBC (on VE day - a great event), or to visiting prospective residents and their families. She herself is the best ambassador for the home and would fully endorse the wholehearted thanks and praise from myself and my siblings, of Heathlands House.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Heathlands House Care Home for organising such a fantastic Community Fun Day at Cherry Hinton Recreation Ground this July. It was a brilliant event with a lovely atmosphere, and it meant a lot to our family.

The staff were incredibly supportive and made sure

everything was accessible and comfortable for the residents. It was heartwarming to see everyone mingling, laughing, and enjoying the activities. The event really showed the care and effort the Heathlands team puts into making life special for their residents and families.

It was great seeing her smile and participate in the day - these moments are so important, and we're truly grateful for the opportunity. A huge well done to everyone involved!

I was impressed with the rooms and en suite etc. Ate there twice, unfortunately same day of the week, so same meal, but it was enjoyable. Not sure of any activities, never witnessed any. Collected him today after a 2-week stay, and the staff had packed up all his belongings. When I got home, unpacked,
I had half the clothes which were not his! I don't know much of what is missing, as I did not make a list when I took him to the care home.
