Thank you to the wonderful team at Bishops Manor for the loving and caring way that you all looked after Mum (Pat) over the last four years.
Going into a care home for your twilight years is, I imagine, a daunting if not frightening prospect for residents. It's also a worrying time for us, their
families as we need to know our loved ones are being cared for as well as we would like, and we may, irrationally, also be dealing with feelings of guilt for our perceived shortcomings.
There was none of that for us as Mum settled into your lovely home quickly, she felt safe there and the fact that after a day trip out she would use the phrase "I want to go home now" says all that needs to be said.
Your care has been top notch, you are all lovely people and I will miss my time with you each May, your company, the wild parties, seeing Mum so happy, and the warm welcome you always gave me.
I'll come by to see you this week.
Thank you thank you

As soon as i walked into metchley manor i knew i picked the perfect place for my dad to spend the rest of his life.it really isnt like a care home.its one big family from the management,to care staff.cleaners and and maintanance.they are all friendly, caring and nothing is to much trouble.it looks like
a 5 star hotel.smells so clean.such a happy atmosphere there and always something happening in the main room.singers,dancers,activitiies.it actually a pleasure to visit my dad and chat to everyone.they take so much time to decorate the place when theres an event on.the food is just amazing.and every resident has a cake made on there birthday.my dad has thrived since being in there.hes so happy and says this is my home and they are all my family here.which is so nice to here.if your looking for a care home for a family member.do not waste your time looking anywhere else.metchley manor is by far the best care home i visited for my dad.and i viewed many.

Metchley Manor has changed my dads life. He is happier, looks healthier, has stopped smoking and constantly says how much he loves it there. Myself and my sisters have been treated so well through the process of my dad becoming a full time resident and everything has been explained clearly to us.
We
feel very supported by the Metchley staff and feel confident and happy that our dad is in good hands.

We're so grateful that Mum has settled in so well. We were worried about whether she would be happy in a care home, and what it would be like, and as a family we've all been very impressed with the excellent level of care. The staff are outstanding, so kind and welcoming to Mum, and to us when we visit
most days, and we can see how Mum lights up when anyone speaks to her, often with a laugh and a joke that lifts her spirits. The level of friendliness and the thoughtfulness of care staff and the entertainment team has been exceptional, Mum has engaged more with events in a month than she has done in years - it's rejuvenated her! She even enjoys trips out, something she'd not done since breaking her hip. We've noticed such a positive change since she moved in. Whenever we've needed to ask about anything, it's been quick and easy to sort out things as required, with staff keeping their doors open and making themselves available. Thanks to everyone for truly caring, and the cats are cute!

My Father has been a resident at Foxlands since March 2024, when he was no longer able to look after my mother and himself. My mother sadly passed away in July 2024, but the care she received from the staff was exemplary as was the support they gave my father and the family. Since then Dad has had to
find a new norm having being married for 67 years, the staff at Foxlands have played an important role in this, taking time to understand his interests. He has always been a keen gardner and with the home having raised beds and pots has enabled him to take an interest in the gardens and look at what could be planted for all residents to enjoy. Even families of other residents are bringing in plants for him to find places for. He has been named Monty John. In addition to gardening he enjoys any word games or quizzes, at 91 years old he wants to keep his mind active, again the activities team make sure that things are modified for his poor sight. All staff are a credit to the Home

I was very impressed with the overall care that my husband received. There was a glitch on the first 2 days of arrival when he was not given the wifi code and his clothes were not unpacked and labelled. The management responded immediately with an overall plan for new residents. All staff were caring
and charming and did their utmost to keep my husband cheerful - an onerous task. I ate in the restaurant and was impressed by the quality of the food.

After 17 challenging weeks in hospital and a complex diagnosis of vascular dementia, my mother-in-law's journey to finding a suitable care home felt nearly impossible. Several homes had turned her away, deeming her needs too complex to manage. That was until we discovered Blossomfield Grange.
From
the moment we connected with the team, we were met with compassion, professionalism, and above all, hope. Every single member of staff has been nothing short of amazing-caring, attentive, and deeply dedicated to her wellbeing. However, it was the incredible tenacity and unwavering commitment of the customer relations manager and the deputy manager that truly changed everything for us.
Their tireless efforts in liaising with Social Services, assessing our loved one thoroughly, and refusing to give up made what once seemed unmanageable, possible. Without the customer relations manager and the deputy manager, we would still be battling uncertainty. Thanks to them, my mother-in-law is now in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that she so deserves.

If I had to pick just one thing that I look for in a home, it would be how the residents are treated. I have only ever witnessed the utmost kindness and respect shown to them. It is quite moving. Fortunately Metchley has the added bonus of superb food. It is both delicious and very, very attractively
arranged. There is a wide variety of choices, so clients can have a varied diet. The team responsible for events and entertainment must also be commended. They are so creative, such that there is an interesting selection of activities to do. Further, they seem to provide activities that defy belief. I am reminded of the reindeer that visited last Christmas, only to be surpassed by a horse from Peaky Blinders scheduled to make an appearance this week. The rooms are kept clean and fresh at all times, and laundry is done regularly. Any maintenance is dealt with swiftly and they are cheerful people. Management are very approachable and offer kindly words when necessary.

The whole Metchley team provided first class care for our mother from the first day she came to the home in November 2023 until she passed away in June 2025. As Mum's mobility and general health slowly declined, the team made appropriate adjustments to ensure that she continued to get the care she needed.
This applies not just to the wonderful care team but also to all the supporting teams such as the concierges, the kitchen and dining room team, the maintenance team, the laundry and cleaning teams etc.
The family were always made to feel welcome and were kept informed of Mum's condition at all times. At the end of her life, we were fully included in every decision that was required and the care that was given was exceptional, for which we will be forever grateful.
Thank you, Metchley Manor Team, you are brilliant,

My mother enjoyed her recent respite at Blossomfield Grange and she settled in very quickly. Mum said it was the best home she had been to. She particularly liked sitting in the bistro and sun lounge areas people watching! The food was good and just the right amount for her, and she loved her room.

We moved mom who has vascular dementia here to Blossomfield Grange in February 2025 because we had a terrible experience at her previous Carehome .
It was the best decision myself and my sister made.
The care mom is receiving at Blossomfield Grange is second to none all of the staff are so accommodating
and caring which gives me peace of mind.
I cannot fault anything it's a beautiful Carehome the renovations had just been started when mom moved here now it's almost completed it's absolutely beautiful.

My father Inlaw has been here for the past 12 months and without a shaddow of doubt this place is amazing! The whole team know how to do care the right way.
The home is absolutely out of this world, kept to the highest standard, if i didn't know i would think i was walking in to a hotel. The place
is kept spotless and the meals are amazing from their award winning chef and his team. The care staff really do pay attention to each and every single resident, really making a difference to their lives. The nursing team are on the ball when it comes to problems and doctors are always just a call away to help with anything that needs attention.
The management team are great too, nothing is ever too much, friendly and more importantly approachable and on hand.
Days are filled with age appropriate activities with something for everyone.
I wish every care home could be like this, then i know everyone would know what it's like to be looked after to the highest standard.
Worth more than 5 Stars!

Metchley Manor

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our dad has been at Metchley Manor since November 2024 and has settled in really well. The level of care and support he receives is outstanding, and unlike many homes, there is never a shortage of care staff and activities which is very reassuring. Every meal is an event in itself, literally works of
art, very tasty with varied choices available. The level and quality of activities are also far beyond our expectations (beit in-house or professionals that are booked regularly to entertain residents). The home, its grounds and individual rooms are kept to extremely high standards. Care UK's statement that 'Everyone makes a difference' is true in every sense. All of the staff from every department (concierge, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and office) play a huge part in truly making Metchley Manor what it is. We cannot thank everyone enough.

Edgbaston Manor

I visit with my father every week or so to see our friend. It's always very clean, food looks great, staff are friendly and remember us. That's great and you get the family feel when you walk in the door. I also bring my children and they don't mind. We have attended your classes and get right in, it's
great fun and talking to all the men and women here. It would uplift everyone's mood and that's what's needed to get people out of bed. 5 stars.

My daughter was brought to Edgbaston Manor just before Christmas 2024. Her welcome at reception was so calm and everyone welcomed her to the home - my daughter was shown to her room and a welcome pack was given - plus a tray of food served beautifully. My daughter's care was excellent from the beginning
to the end with care and compassion. Thank you.
