Very welcoming environment professionally run. Overall excellent experience albeit felt the food at times fell short of expected standard for example served partially frozen sandwiches once. It would be nice to have a heated towel rail to dry things on.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Knebworth

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Knebworth. Your kind words regarding our home are greatly appreciated. Regarding food, we are sorry to hear that this was your experience. We pride ourselves in providing a large variety of meal choices for residents to enjoy and our Chef works hard to provide high quality meals to all in the home. If there are any issues with food, our kitchen staff will always be happy to rectify this promptly for you. Furthermore, we always try our best to ensure residents' rooms are comfortable and fitted with the appropriate equipment they need. The Home Manager would be happy to discuss the implementation of a heated towel rail with you alongside any other queries you may have regarding your room or your care. Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback for Knebworth. Your feedback is invaluable to us.

I was in desperate need for respite care for my father as his carer, my mum, was taken suddenly ill. The team at Snowdrop were brilliant. So welcoming and helpful, guiding this rookie through the process, welcoming my dad who had no idea what was going on or could understand.

The home is excellent,

everyone is looked after and the emphasis is on being welcoming and providing the care.

I have no complaints and I am just grateful to the team for providing so much support at such a time of need

My father has transitioned smoothly to Knebworth Care Home the staff have reassured and supported my father to feel safe. My family feel confident in the care that is being provided and feel we are working as a team to ensure my father feels safe and comfortable. My only suggestions would be more varied
options for the afternoon tea. Thank you to Knebworth Care Home team.

My aunt came to Snowdrop House following a dreadful experience in hospital. She was no longer able to care for herself, and as I live some distance away, I was unable to provide her with full-time care myself. From the moment she arrived, she was obviously much happier and more comfortable. She received
excellent care from all the staff and spent her last few weeks in a lovely room with her own things around her. I couldn't fault the ways they looked after her in life and us after her passing.

From the moment we walked through the door at Snowdrop House, we knew we had found the right care home for my husband. It is bright, airy, spacious, and clean.
We loved it straight away. The staff and management were friendly, smiling, and welcoming.
A year on, we know we made the right choice. Any
little niggles are handled promptly and with real care, which gives us confidence that he's in good hands. It's a well-run care home!
One of the lovely highlights is the on site café, which offers hot drinks and delicious homemade cakes. It's a popular spot for both residents and visitors.
I'm very grateful to the team at Snowdrop House for the compassion, attention, and professionalism they've shown over the past year. Knowing my husband is safe, respected, and well cared for means the world.

Choosing a care home is a difficult and emotional one. From our first visit the home stood out as a place of warmth and professionalism. The key to this home is its staff. My wife was so happy for the weeks that she was there. I did not need to worry as I knew she was being well looked after. The staff
are so kind and patient getting my wife to connect with others. It was like a home from home.

My father was recently a resident at Snowdrop House, where he was initially admitted for respite care. He received an excellent standard of care whilst he was there right through until end of life care was required. All of the staff at Snowdrop house were extremely caring and supportive of my dad, and
myself throughout his stay. Towards the end of his life, the staff, from the managers to nurses and support workers treated him in a very sensitive, respectful and caring way. I have no doubt that dad was in the best place, and that in his final days, he was made as comfortable as possible. I also felt very supported by all the staff there - losing a loved one is never easy, but the staff on duty at the time of his passing were particularly sensitive, and ensured that dad was able to maintain his dignity until the end. I would particularly like to thank one member of staff - I will always be grateful for the compassion and sensitivity she showed to both my father and to me. Thank you.

Dad had such a positive experience during the 8 months he was at Snowdrop House. Right from the beginning it was clear that the place was efficiently run and that the management respected and valued their staff. There was good pre planning done before Dad arrived and there was alot of care taken to
ensure his smooth transition from hospital. Dad's history was gained through life story work and I really felt that he was valued as a man with a lifetime of independent experiences.
The catering is excellent at Snowdrop House with delicious meals provided 3 times a day and a wonderful self service cafe open all day with an ever changing array of cakes and treats.
Mini golf, bowls, knitting club, men's club, church services, exercise classes and parties are some of the regular daily activities that go on with visits from singers, school children and even visiting animals!
I have nothing but praise for all the kindness that dad received and will always be grateful for the top quality care.

Dad's care needs have changed since he entered Snowdrop House and the home has met these wonderfully by being flexible and proactive. Staff are friendly, caring and professional. The activities laid on are stimulating and creative and can be tailored to the residents' needs. Management are clearly excellent
but needs to be more visible to residents' next of kin. Would highly recommend Snowdrop to anyone.

Struck today by the effort that's gone into the surroundings over Easter; new furniture, window boxes and fresh flowers everywhere. A really uplifting home away from home.

Mum moved to Snowdrop House in November 2024. Moving mum from her own home was a difficult decision but it was obvious that her carers at home were struggling to help her with her mobility. Mum was assessed at home and her carers and I could tell straight away from his reactions to mum that Snowdrop
House would be perfect for her. This was proved right - Mum moved in the next day and we haven't looked back! Mum is now on the Nursing ward and the care she is receiving is from a very kind and compassionate team and I would have no hesitation in recommending the home. The food is delicious and mum is always well presented, even while bed bound. The staff are cheerful and interested and respectful of their clients.

Whilst my husband was not able to fully benefit from the beautiful surroundings and wide choice of activities Knebworth Care Home had to offer in the short time he was there, we cannot fault the high standard of care and compassion that was shown to him and, indeed, to us as well.
