My Dad has received great care at Knebworth. The staff are amazing, kind + compassionate + treat him with respect. The home is always clean, welcoming and well managed. Knowing our Dad is safe and comfortable gives us piece of mind. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

I can't compliment Snowdrop House staff highly enough. They are remarkable people. My mother in law was resident there for approximately 6 weeks. She had living with us and we had been caring for her ourselves but it had eventually become too much for us to be able to do alone and try to work as she needed 24-7 care towards the end. Because of them, she got the care and dignity that she deserved and needed. They made her last few weeks respectful and peaceful. The facilities are fantastic and they do everything they can to make the residents lives better, which in turn makes the families lives better.

When the end came, my mother in law passed in her sleep with no pain and no worries and we were all treated with such kindness after. It is a wonderful place and the staff are angels. We can't thank them enough.

My mother has been a resident at Knebworth Care Home since December 2024. I have been very pleased with every aspect of her care. I receive regular calls updating me on her wellbeing and the carers are always very attentive to her needs when I visit. She seems very settled and comfortable at the home. As a relative I'm always greeted with a warm welcome and the carers are always very friendly.

Lovely atmosphere, bright and airy reception, always a big welcome from Michelle and Grace. Mum is well looked after and always a pleasure to come and see her and chat to the staff. Only downside is how hot it is in summer on the top floor.

Activity staff are amazing and always making Mum smile and keeping her happy

Having come unernounced to ask about the home we (my sister in law) and myself were made most welcome. Taken around the building shown everything we wanted to see. My husband could be admitted pending an assesment the next day. That was granted and he was amitted (Palitive care) Everybody is so loving always smiling, stop to talk even if busy.

Carparking could be better

The care my mother has received so far has been excellent. My mother is in for respite care (2 or 3 weeks) after suffering a broken hip and every member of staff has gone above and beyond the call of duty. The home itself is spotless, the food is superb and the facilities are second to none. 10/10.

Since arriving at Knebworth care home, my sister has been comfortable, and felt safe and cared for. She has improved her mobility and the physical care has been excellent. I visit my wife regularly and have done so for the last year that she has been in permanent care.

All staff are friendly efficient and very caring. A difficut job but over the last year even though there have been many changes both in staff and decor standards continue to be exceptional. Receptionists, cleaners, carers even managers and senior staff do an amazing job.

Having had a fall and a long spell in Hospital, my uncle was transferred to Snowdrop House. Although he was only there for a short time before he passed away, our family could not fault the care and respect each and everyone of the staff showed him. They also did the same for us in the family and kept us informed of his condition whenever necessary. Our grateful thanks go to all of them.

During Dad's 10 months in Riverside, he was looked after with the greatest care and attention. The staff were kind and caring, always treating Dad with respect and following his wishes. Any concerns about his health were addressed promptly, and as a family we were always kept informed. The staff were always welcoming and friendly to family and visitors.

I took Mum to the home today because I felt she really needed the chance be around others & enjoy some company. From the moment we arrived, we were met with such kindness & compassion from the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, including the residents, Mum was made to feel comfortable & at ease straight away. Seeing her settled, chatting, & happy, & knowing that I could leave her in such safe & caring hands, was incredibly reassuring.

When I returned, Mum was sitting with a drink & was in wonderful spirits. She told me she had had a lovely few hours doing chair physio, chatting with others, & enjoying the warm & friendly atmosphere. She even stayed for lunch, which said so much about how relaxed, comfortable, & cared for she felt. Seeing her so content was incredibly comforting. Mum will definitely be going again, & she is already looking forward to the other events she can attend. I am so grateful to the staff for the kindness, warmth, & genuine care they showed Mum. Thank you Care UK.

Review of Snowdrop House from Angela H (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I have nothing but praise for Snowdrop House. The environment from the moment you walk in is bright and extremely welcoming. It feels warm and caring and the residents wellbeing is absolutely at the core of what they do.
It's a lovely modern purpose built home and I felt the weight of the world lift from my shoulder when there
I can honestly say that every single person who works at Snowdrop GENUINELY care. They are all so friendly, polite, courteous and respectful and cannot do enough for the residents and their families.
I will always be extremely grateful that my dear mum got to experience this level of care when she absolutely needed it the most.
I was told by a wonderful nurse "once you come to Snowdrop - you join a family. Whatever your loved one would ask of the their own family members, they can ask us - they are part of our family now" I said this to my mum and it really reframed the whole image of her care for her.

Words will never express our gratitude to them.

We had just a very short stay here at Snowdrop. I could not have been happier with the care, respect and kindness shown to my mum. We were offered 2 homes and these were just no comparison this way by far the cleanest, brightest, and most appealing home. We were welcomed by a lovely caring lady. Asking lots of questions about mum, she truly was interested. Unlike the other home that couldn't get us round and out quick enough! The room we were shown was bright and beautifully decorated, with outstanding ensuite. Mum passed away within a week, but it was a week my sister and I truly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My husband stayed for respite care. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. His medication was administered at the correct times. He enjoyed taking part in the activities and in particular the drive out in the minibus. He made some good friends and enjoyed his chats. His room was spotlessly clean and spacious. He was quite emotional when I picked him up and had lots of hugs and kisses saying goodbye. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

Thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts for making Kevin's last few weeks the best we could have ever hoped for. All the staff are so lovely from the reception staff saying hello Kevin when he come out the lift.

To the nurse dancing with his doll every night, kevin used to tell me hes bloody mad he is haha. Level 2 you guys are something else ,all the patience you have when u can see how busy u r nothing is ever to much trouble ,u always had oxygen available when Kevin was ready to go out everyday, would come and calm him when he was getting stressed ,you always had time for him , let alone all the obvious bits all the staff got involved with washing ,dressing, changing ,non of this went un noticed .The food lady's going out of there way to make sure Kevin ate something he liked. Feeding Kevin has never been an easy task but u guys nailed it ,even if it was milky ways most days haha. The Homemade cakes in the cafe downstairs was a highlight everyday Thankyou your all amazing
