I cannot recommend Riverside enough for the love care compassion and commitment to our Dad who is currently residing there .The staff are amazing and so is the management and nothing is too much trouble for any of them .Queries are always answered fully and also medical issues addressed and sorted immediately.
Helen
and Shirley are our go to staff and are extremely knowledgeable and fully transparent re Dad and his daily behaviour eating and mobility.
If I could give this home 10 stars I would as Dad being there has given us much peace of mind knowing he is being so well looked after which is important especially with his Dementia.
Also I have had experience of other care homes and none have come close to this one.
Thankyou to everyone from all the family for your unwavering commitment to Dad

Halecroft Grange proved to be an excellent choice for a two month respite period for my mother. The manager, Shahvez, went out of his way to accommodate her wishes regarding a suitable room and the staff are delightful, discreet and attentive . Meals are plentiful with the option to have a tea time
sandwich in the room when preferred . Cleanliness is excellent and a very calm and friendly atmosphere prevails.

We had a wholly positive experience which due our contact with Shahvez was both informative and reassuring. He was an excellent representative of Hale Croft and we were incredibly impressed with the facility which is first class. Shahvez struck exactly the right balance at a difficult time so five

I am extremely pleased with Ladybrook manor as a 'home' for my mum. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They all make my mum feel valued and part of the community in the home . The staff have always kept us informed of any medical issues / concerns / general information,
and are always quick to respond to any
phone calls , messages or emails . My mum is always greeted with a smile and / or a positive comment . Staff are quick to assess my mum's mood / needs at all times . We are able to ring up at anytime with a question , a reminder for my mum or to pass on information, and are confident that it will help dealt with as soon as is possible .

This is a personal complaint.
Prior to lunch on 12 August 2025 I was waiting at a space of the long corridor to be in time for my lunch. I came up behind a fellow guest, pushing his self, pushing his trolley. I called out that I was attempting to pass on his right as shown level on his R.H. since he
shouted out causing me to jump instantly. This left me dizzy. When I reached the dining room I was quite faint. I called out fortunately one of the members of staff chatting to a lady member it took a lot of minutes to get a response despite explaining I was going to pass out. I spent the afternoon resting and had little or no food.

My 97 year old mother with Alzheimer's was admitted to Oakfield at the end of June as a self funded resident. We chose Oakfield after research online and visiting the home. At every stage from first contact, we have had outstanding help and support from every member of the Care Home team with accurate,
honest and transparent information and advice throughout. My mum has been cared for in an exceptionally kind, considerate and personalised manner with dignity at all times and consequently is setting in well. The care home is immaculately clean and well maintained and has a wonderful and evident warm and friendly culture in everything they do. Their communication with family is excellent and the facilities, activities and opportunities at the home for mum are first class. As a family we are completely satisfied and confident that mums best care and wellbeing are continually being maintained by the brilliant staff team at Oakfield Croft.

The staff from the initial contact with a particular staff member, the look around meeting with two staff members, through to everyday contact after move in have been excellent. As Deputy Head of the local school in the area, we regularly come to visit the residents with a group of our children and work together on a variety of activities, including reading, making willow wreaths and decorating photo frames!
Our visits are fantastic experiences for all - the children and the
residents love working together and have a great time chatting about things as they complete the activities together.
The friendly staff welcome us every time and always put such effort into planning fun things for the residents to enjoy - we always leave them with smiles on their faces, and smiles are on our faces, too!
We can't wait for our next visit!

My auntie has been a resident at Oakfield Croft now for about 18 months. She has dementia and had got to the point where she wasn't safe living alone. The transition into residential care was made much easier due to the professionalism and care of all the staff there. She tells everyone now how lucky
she is to live in such a beautiful place. She enjoys all the activities, the food, her friends and the staff. It's such a relief to know that she is well looked after and happy. (Also the coffee and cakes in the cafe downstairs are fab!)

My Mum has been a resident at Abney Court for 16 months. It was a very difficult decision for her to move in at the time, but the care staff were so caring it made the transition easier than we thought. The activity circular was crucial for Mum as she is enthusiastic to be part of a community to continue
to learn new skills-Thai Chi, French and Yoga have been a huge hit! The Leadership Team is excellent, they are present and approachable, any issues (which are rare) are readily resolved.

My husband came into the Home for three weeks Respite care in May. We were welcomed and I think he was made to feel OK even tho' I was leaving him there.
We found the staff very welcoming and friendly and always helpful and smiling.
The entrance was a delightful sitting area where residents & visitors
could get refreshments and enjoy going out into the gardens. The admin staff were also friendly and helpful.
I believe my husband enjoyed and joined in any organised activities encouraged I am sure by the Staff.
Altogether a happy Respite and I would love him to have a further stay at Oakcroft

Thank you. Moving mum to Halecroft has been a revelation. An amazing environment with the most kind and attentive staff. As a concerned family looking for a safe and happy environment for a parent who had been through a pretty miserable 13 months we could not be happier. Mum is in the best possible
environment to support her in old age. From the spotless rooms and common areas through to the gardens, library and the car park Halecroft is a new home that any family would be proud of. We are greeted by name on every occasion. Mum loves the company of others, the trips out and the food in the bistro.

A special thanks to the customer relations manager for his exceptional customer service and care. The floor manager was brilliant in getting mum settled and managing a difficult transition into her new environment and making sure all the necessary support was in place. All the carers on the first floor have been exceptional. Everyone on the front desk greets you with a smile and genuine hello. A superb well lead team.
