Review of Halecroft Grange from A M (Friend of Resident) published on 25 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

An excellent experience of Halecroft Grange. My friend has been a resident here for several months. She is well cared for by the staff, and the activities have really helped by providing her with the necessary stimulation. The food is excellent, and beautifully presented. Would thoroughly recommend Halecroft Grange.

Review of Riverside from M B (Son of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The team at Riverside and on Lowry do a fantastic job of caring for my Dad. They have built a personal relationship with him and interact with him on a personal level. The communication with myself is good. Overall I feel that all the team do a terrific job, managing and meeting the specific individual needs of all the residents, which at times can be challenging.

My Dad is settled and comfortable here and I feel well looked after and cared for.

Review of Halecroft Grange from D L (Son of Resident) published on 10 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our mother has been here for several months. Initial contact was at a stressful time for the family, but the care team here were wonderfully reassuring, kind and flexible. We visited several other homes at the time - HaleCroft Grange was head and shoulders the front-runner. Since, we have been completely happy. The most salient feature is welcome we are made to feel every time we visit. It's already like an extension of our family. The home is immaculately clean, the staff smiling and the residents clearly very happy and settled. The rooms are large, and each with a kitchen area which helps maximise independence. It is clear that the staff know their residents well, and it's nice to see the same faces every time we visit. This is as good care as we could hope for for our mother, who is very settled here. Happy to give a strong recommendation without hesitation - you get what you pay for!

Review of Halecroft Grange from H M (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

After it became increasingly difficult to ensure the safety and well-being of my 87 year-old parents( one with a dementia diagnosis and one with limited mobility), we visited three homes before visiting Halecroft Grange and it was apparent that this was the one with my parents immediately asking me to take them back for a second viewing. Unfortunately, external issues meant the process has been extremely fraught however, at all times , every single member of staff has shown patience, empathy and care towards my parents. Without exception , the staff are absolutely amazing. Sadly my Dad died but Mum is still living at Halecroft Grange and has settled really well now , making friends , enjoying the numerous activities on offer, going out in the mini bus (which she loves!) enjoying the delicious food and most of all, being looked after and kept safe. It was the hardest decision of my life but one I definitely do not regret and I would recommend Halecroft Grange wholeheartedly.

Review of Ladybrook Manor from F F (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 May 2026 Submitted via Website

My mother moved in to Ladybrook Manor 4 weeks ago and we have been delighted with everything. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and efficient and the level of care they exude has been very reassuring. The mobility and strength that my mother has regained since arriving has been a testament to this - there are plenty of stimulating activities and this really helps integration into the facility and getting to know others. Thank you to all the staff and management - it's much appreciated.

Review of Abney Court from Hazel P (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

From the outside and ground floor this place looks gorgeous HOWEVER when you go onto the 1st floor where My dad was for 2 month which is an assessment floor. It was awful, the smell of urine was soo bad we would take a deep breath before we came through the doors. Staff just left my dad to himself so he became extremely agitated and restless and constantly trying to get out (this didnt happen when he went to a new home). His legs became swollen and infected. His bedding was very thin and i feel gave him rashes on his legs and arms. The majority of the staff were not very friendly and if we asked questions about my dad it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Those on this floor dont have access to the activities in the home. The lost property is a joke too as staff didnt actively search for clothing that went missing. This place in my very honest opinion is absolutely awful it needs the carpet removing, the staff need retraining and need to make family members feel more at ease.

The staff are friendly and give very good care. My mother is very happy there. The food is good, and the residents are encouraged to go down to the dining room so they can socialise with the other residents. The activities they provide for the residents are excellent, and help to keep them mentally active. Ladybrook Manor is a happy home, and really care for their residents.

Moving into a care home is a big change for anyone. From day one my mum was made to feel very welcome and team has been excellent ever since. They have taken time to get to know my mum. She is always treated with dignity and care.
The facilities and activities at the care home are excellent and the team there make sure the residents know what is going on and have the option to join in.
The location is lovely and the grounds are well maintained.
Recently there was a special Mother's Day event to which family members were invited. It was a lovely afternoon and much thought and preparation had gone into the event.

I'm confident my mum is in safe hands, well looked after and has many activities available for her to enjoy

My mum has been a resident at Abney for a couple of years and overall I'm very pleased with her care there. The home environment is very pleasant and some recent decorative improvements have made it even better for the residents. The staff are good and try to make it a caring and warm place for all the residents to live with dignity. There's a wide range of daily activities and mum really enjoys taking part in these. Food and drink are of a high standard and there's a nice dining area for people to spend time in. Overall I'd definitely recommend as somewhere you can feel confident your loved ones will be cared for when they can no longer live independently.

My Mum and Dad have been at Ladybrook, Bramhall since September 2025. The care and kindness that they are shown by all the staff is exceptional and I am so relieved to know they are safe and so well cared for. The effort to make the residents life enjoyable and sociable is fantastic by various forms of social entertainment and pre dinner drinks.

I will always be so grateful to everyone at Ladybrook for all their hard work.

Last Sunday for Mother's Day Abney Court organised a really special afternoon tea. On an occasion which could have proven difficult it really was a lovely occasion. Real thought had gone into the arrangements, the set up was beautifully done, a lot of effort too had gone into catering for someone with Coeliac, thank you! The staff member who had arranged everything is to be really commended for all her kindness, the chef too came out to speak to all the guests which was lovely.
All in all a very successful occasion.

With grateful thanks

Mum has happily settled into her new home thanks to the kindness, patience and support of all the staff at Abney Court. Mum enjoys the activities, particularly the exercise classes. The lifestyle team make sure mum knows what is happening and can get involved. Lisa from the team will take mum for a walk when the weather is fine - she enjoys that. I visit regularly and always feel welcome. The staff on the Gladstone Suite know mum well and are very kind. Mum said to me the other day 'I'm so glad we found this place, its very good'/ I'm glad too, mum is so well cared for, and happy here.

Two words care and caring they mean very different things. The Halecroft team deliver both in abundance. We are so grateful for not just the level of care you offer but how caring you are in its delivery. Your practise is outstanding. My mother is so grateful

For everything you're doing for her husband my father at this time. You administer everything with compassion and good grace, giving my father the dignity he deserves at this stage of his life. We the children are also very grateful at how caring and supportive you are to my mother Gabrielle everytime she visits. Both mum and John are firefly independent living unaided until this year as John turned 90 and my mother 88. We hold you in admiration and know if there is a time when my mother needs such care only Halecroft will be good enough! Thank you for being you at our time of need.

Review of Ladybrook Manor from Fred R (Son of Resident) published on 9 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My husband I spent a considerable period of time researching and visiting homes to create a shortlist for my father. We loved Ladybrook Manor right from our first visit, it was warm and friendly and the food was good. To us it was head and shoulders above the alternatives that we had found, we were very glad when my father agreed.
More than a year (and two Christmases later) we are still very glad that he is in Ladybrook Manor. The care is very good, there are plenty of activities to keep him entertained and the food is good (he has put on weight in a good way). My favourite part is their coffee area, every time I visit we get a cuppa there, it's a lovely place to sit and be sociable (but completely separate from the lounge with residents watching TV). Also there is often some baked goods from the kitchen to be had in the afternoon.

Would highly recommend.
