My parents moved into Cranford Grange in December last year. Mum has Alzheimer's and although Dad can live independently he needs a bit of help day to day. From the day they moved into their companion suite the care and kindness they have received has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble
and Mum and Dad are treated with such respect and dignity. The team genuinely care about all of the residents.
Cranford Grange is beautifully appointed and every member of staff cares about their surroundings. Mum and Dad are encouraged to join in with the many activities offered, but are allowed to be on their own if that is what they want. I can't thank all of the team enough, just to know that they are safe and well cared for is such a relief for me.

My parents recently came into stay at Cranford Grange. We picked the home due to being very impressed by it following visits prior to them moving in , and our good opinion of the home has only increased in past few weeks since they have been there. Staff, communication and facilities have all been
excellent, my parents compare it to a 5 star hotel , it is so reassuring to know that wonderful care homes like this exist and we are very thankful for all they have done for my parents

Overall I think you do very well. More music in the afternoons would be great as people with dementia do not respond to just watching tv. Sing songs or Andre Rieu dvds would be loved by most residents. There is a dead period around 2pm to 3:30 when very little goes on to keep residents occupied -
I am guessing staff are on lunch break.? Perhaps this could be staggered ? Putting Andre Rieu DVD on would be uplifting and the residents would not need too much supervision.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Deewater GrangeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind comments about the home overall—it really means a great deal to our team.
We truly value your suggestions regarding activities, particularly in the afternoons. Supporting meaningful engagement for people living with dementia is very important to us, and we appreciate your ideas around incorporating more music, including sing-alongs and Orchestra DVDs, which we agree can be uplifting and enjoyable for many residents.
Please be assured that we have taken your comments on board and have already put actions into place to ensure improvements are made. We are now ensuring that a care colleague is specifically allocated to support activity time during the early afternoon period, alongside our planned lifestyle activities which begin at 2pm. This is helping to reduce quieter periods and provide more consistent engagement for residents.
Your feedback is incredibly helpful in shaping our service, and we are grateful for your input. Please feel free to share any further suggestions with us at any time.

Dad arrived at Deewater in January 2026 after finally accepting that looking after himself was getting too much. We had concerns about how he would cope with this big change (different location, reduced independence etc.)......but we needn't have worried.
The Staff at Deewater are (without exception)
always friendly, professional and caring. He has settled into his new life with surprising enthusiasm. He enjoys many of the activities, has made new friends and enjoys the attention he receives from the Deewater staff.
We really never thought that he'd be playing Scrabble, taking part in quizzes, enjoying the comfortable seats in the cinema room and on first name terms with the staff.....and all within 6 weeks of arriving.
The availability of multiple lounges/coffee areas makes visiting very easy and enjoyable, as there always seems to be somewhere to sit and talk privately.
He's now looking forward to planting out some plants on his patio, to enjoy during the Summer.
Reply from Elizabeth Wilson-Lamb, Reviews Team at Deewater GrangeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re truly delighted to hear how well your dad has settled in since joining us in January. Moving into a care home is a big life transition, and it’s completely natural to have concerns, so it means a great deal to know that he has embraced this new chapter with such enthusiasm. He has very quickly become a respected part of our home and the staff take great pleasure in looking after him. It’s wonderful to hear that he is enjoying the activities, making new friendships, and feeling comfortable enough to fully engage in daily life here – from Scrabble and quizzes to relaxing in the cinema room. Creating a welcoming, supportive environment where residents feel valued and at home is exactly what we strive for, and your kind words about our team being friendly, professional, and caring will mean a lot to them. We’re also pleased that you’ve found the layout of the home helpful for visits, with plenty of spaces to relax together. Those moments with family are incredibly important, and we’re glad they’ve been made easier and more enjoyable. We hope your dad gets great pleasure from his patio planting over the summer – it sounds like something lovely to look forward to! Thank you again for your kind feedback and for trusting us with his care.

We as a family cannot thank enough all the staff at Deewater for the outstanding care Mum continues to get since arriving 18 months ago. The staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the home is exceptionally clean as is Mum's room. There is always some sort of activity taking place and the residents
enjoy planned outings. Mum often expresses how well she is looked after and how kind the staff are. I'm kept up to date with any medical information via phone calls. We visited several care homes prior to mum moving here and Deewater stood out above all others, so thank you everyone for looking after my mum.

Having a family member in care is something most of us don't want, but when it happens this is the place you want your loved ones to be. After a fall and a stay in hospital mum was offered a place at Hollins Park in Jan 2024. After meeting the team Tracey, Jaz, and Sandra in the office, the care team
on the floor, mum was looked after with the utmost care, respect and dignity. During regular visits mum always looked clean and well cared for by the happy and friendly staff no matter who was on duty, although she was fussy with her diet they would always cater/ find her something for her meals.
Mum has since passed away but I am glad she spent her final years being looked after and well cared for at Hollins Park.

My Mum moved to Hollins Park approx 2 years ago and the transformation in her was incredible. The staff were extremely supportive and attentive to her needs, and she went from being bed bound to being able to walk (with assistance) a few steps every day.
She loved her time there, and the smile on
her face gave us the reassurance that we had made the right choice to move her there.
Whilst all the staff were amazing, a huge shout out to Tracy and Jasmin (Managers) but the one I can't thank enough and will be forever indebted too is Sara. I live overseas and Sara would go out of her way to arrange video calls for me that worked with my time zone, she even came in on her day off so that she could help me take my Mum out when I was able to visit in person - she was amazing and my Mum loved her! Sadly my mum recently passed, and Sara was the one that gave her the hugs that I wasn't able too, and I will never forget that.
Can't recommend Hollins Park enough!

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Hollins Park Care Home for the outstanding care my mother received during her time there.
From the very beginning, the staff showed genuine warmth, kindness, and professionalism. The carers were truly wonderful - always patient, attentive,
and compassionate. They treated my mother with dignity and respect, taking the time to understand her needs and preferences, and ensuring she felt comfortable and valued every single day.
The standard of care was excellent throughout. Communication with our family was clear and reassuring, and it was evident that the team worked tirelessly to provide not only physical care but also emotional support. It brought us great comfort knowing she was in such capable and caring hands.
I cannot thank the team enough for their dedication and kindness. I would highly recommend Hollins Park Care Home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and genuinely caring environment for their loved one.

This review is regarding the care of my mother in law over the last 4 months of her life. She was admitted from home with quite advanced dementia and a number of medical problems. Throughout the time she spent in Longstone Manor every aspect of the care was exemplary. The review rules don't permit the
identification of individuals but we could name at least a dozen staff from carers to team leaders, managers and admin who absolutely went the extra mile to ensure that my mother in law was looked after with great kindness in every regard and that we as her family were welcomed and communicated with in a friendly, sympathetic and highly professional manner. Great efforts were made to adapt to the specific needs of my MIL - from daily encouragement in to activities and mealtimes to personalised snacks when she didn't fancy going to meals. The facilities are all of a very high standard and well kept. We would recommend Longstone Manor without reservation.

Our mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer last summer and chose the safety of a care home rather than returning home. We were understandably nervous, but after researching carefully, Cranford Grange stood out.
It is as beautiful as the brochure suggests - more like a five-star hotel - but what truly
impressed us was the warmth of the staff and the comfort of the residents. Mum's eyes lit up when she saw it.
She was welcomed with kindness from day one. Staff were consistently cheerful and attentive, bringing meals to her room and even preparing food she "fancied" as her appetite declined. She could still watch her beloved tennis and golf, which meant a great deal.
At Christmas the home felt magical, and throughout her stay she was treated with dignity and compassion. Mum passed peacefully last week, and we are deeply grateful for the care and support shown to her and to us.

Mum (Mal)was sent from the hospital to Pinetum for respite in December after having a fractured back. While in Pinetum mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The care that was taken in looking after her was amazing, everyone from all levels where great they all showed compassion and empathy for what
they did, we saw mum flourish. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. End of February we had to move mum to a residential care home as she's not able to go home alone. It was so hard to find somewhere for her after her being in Pinetum with such high standards and great care for residents and for us a family.
I would like to say a big big thank you to all the exceptional caring staff at all levels for taking great care of our mum, we are so grateful for everything you did for her and also for us.

My mum moved into Cranford Grange for terminal nursing care. She had insisted throughout her diagnosis that she wanted to end her days at home. However, she made the decision to move, immediately feeling at "home" in her new surroundings and very comfortable in every way, from her room, her bed, the
way all staff treated her, she felt loved and so very lucky to be in such a setting. She realised that she would never have been able to have that at home and the burden would have been on her husband and children.
It didn't stop at Mum, as family we were fed in every way with food, kindness, and even hugs!
The teamwork and professionalism we witnessed were second to none, from everyone. My dad was asked what the staff were like and he said you can't call them staff they are friends!
The atmosphere in the building is one of peace and happiness and we cannot thank everyone who cared for mum enough for the amazing end to an amazing life you enabled

My Wife was admitted to Pinetum Care Home from the hospital for rehabilitation and then sadly for Palliative Care for the last 3months of her life .
The Quality of care she received from all the staff was excellent she was treated with great care dignity and respect the nurses and carers were checking
on her regularly .
This same friendly care and respect was extended to all family visitors throughout her stay .
When my Wife sadly passed away we were informed immediately and invited to go and see her, the nurse who greeted us treated us with compassion and respect and told us she had been present when she passed away so she hadn't been alone which was a great comfort to me .
We were given refreshments while we sat in her room my wife could not have had a better standard of care anywhere else and i am very grateful for that
