Tiltwood has been our life saver. The care has been beyond belief making the transitions to the care home for myself, husband and family so much easier than we expected. I cannot express my appreciation enough to all the staff who diligently and professionally work to make my husband's life happy. Such

My mother felt so safe and looked after as soon as she arrived at Milner House, which was such a relief to her and to us all. We were constantly impressed by the way that all the staff took time to really get to know her and her interests, many times going out of their way to find ways to engage her
and make sure she was listened to. As family, we were always warmly and personally welcomed. The staff were always very professional and at the same time so kind to my mother and to us all.

After my mums sudden death , i needed to find a carehome for my dad .
In my occupation , i've visited hundreds of care homes but have never felt such warmth , friendliness and attention to detail for peoples care .
Every member of staff , from the admin staff to the handyman and all of the care
and maintenance team in between are unbelievable.
It chokes me just to know my dad is in the best hands ever .
His days were just spent wasting away in front of the tv at home , but now he's
cleaning litter , tossing pancakes and just this afternoon been entertained by a country and western singer .
I always though care homes were where you went to die , but my dad has had a new lease of life i could only dream off .
The most amazing place ever !!!

Milner House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Milner House is a shining example of what a care home should be like. It is a very well-managed home from home. The many communal areas are spacious, and the bedrooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities. The food is very good and varied. There are many activities every day, both indoors and outside
and trips out in the mini bus. All staff, no matter their role, consistently go above and beyond to ensure all needs are met, that the residents are happy and are treated with kindness and dignity at all times. I cannot recommend Milner House highly enough
Reply from Rachel Laurence, Reviews Team at Milner HouseDear Christine,

Mum has lived in Echelforde for just over 2 years now following a short period of respite. She has made good friends in her unit and absolutely loves her bed and bedroom. She feels safe, warm and happy in the calm and caring environment the staff provide. If she wants to there are engaging and purposeful
activities run every day which she enjoys. Seeing photos of the things mum has been up to really helps with conversations when I visit. The staff are extremely kind and go above and beyond to make everything as good as it can be. Mum attends a short, dementia friendly church service every week as her faith is important to her. Respect and dignity are given to each and every person and individual needs catered for. Very pleased with the whole team approach at Echelforde. They all genuinely care. Redecoration of rooms is planned for this year.

Mum has been at Broadwater Lodge for three months after a flood at her property. She absolutely loves being there. The staff are all friendly, helpful and generally cannot do enough for their residents. There are plenty of fun and varied entertainments, each day, available. These range from cookery
to painting, drawing and Mum's very favourite, visiting musicians! Angie and her team make everyone feel they're special, in their own home but with a supporting hand steering behind to ensure their safely. Broadwater Lodge is a great place. I'm delighted my Mum is there..

My mother is in her mid-nineties and suffers from dementia. She has been a resident of Broadwater Lodge for over 4 years now and whilst she thinks she would rather not live in a care home, agrees that she can find nothing wrong and indeed mostly everything is good about it. Broadwater Lodge is a warm,
friendly welcoming inclusive home with professional caring staff. I can't speak highly enough of the positive happy attitude and vibe that resonates as soon as you enter the front door. It makes one feel part of one big happy family. There is a full and varied programme of activities for residents to participate in if they want to. My mother is not always so keen to join in some of the activities but she is always invited to. She does however enjoying the lakeside walks in fine weather, visits to Jen's hair salon, coffee mornings and chatting to everyone that stops to talk to her. I am confident that she receives the best possible care in this wonderful community.
