My mother had been a resident for nearly three years, during that time she was well cared for always clean, the entertainment provided kept the residents happy and motivated, often doing outside visits even nightclub during the day which was an

My wife was an Alzheimers resident for 6 years & was cared for in a most compassionate & professional manner. I visited her at least weekly & saw this for myself.
Sadly she passed away after 61 years of marriage. A devastating event for me.
The management & staff's loving kindness before, during &
after her passing was outstanding. Without them I would not have 'coped'.
I will always remember their words to me, "remember we are here for you also".
To all the staff I thank you from the depths of my heart.

We were offered a place for mum at very short notice, when she needed respite care. We were apprehensive about what care homes would be like, but infact we were very pleased with Garth House. Her room was tranquil and a good size. She has her meals in an elegant dining room and was with residents in
a cosy lounge or sunny conservatory, in her 6 months as a resident. The personal and nursing care was discrete, considerate and highly professional. The activity coordinator was creative and acknowledged each person. The managers and team were attentive and sympathetic.

Milner House staff looked after my mother with care and compassion over her illness and death. They balanced professionalism with personality. It was a very sad and difficult process, but my mother was aware of the care as family members we received care and friendship, everyone stopped and chatted
to us. This helped us enormously through a care and end plan and daily communication with us. We are extremely grateful.

What's not to like about Broadwater Lodge ?! My husband is so well looked after by a very caring team, in an environment which is warm and safe, with excellent food to keep to feed the inner man! His dementia is well catered for by staff who understand the condition, and make every effort to involve
him in the various activities. Special milestones in his life are marked by a wonderful events team, which adds to the enjoyment ! In short, I am just so happy in the choice of this great care home, and can't recommend it highly enough.

My mother felt so safe and looked after as soon as she arrived at Milner House, which was such a relief to her and to us all. We were constantly impressed by the way that all the staff took time to really get to know her and her interests, many times going out of their way to find ways to engage her
and make sure she was listened to. As family, we were always warmly and personally welcomed. The staff were always very professional and at the same time so kind to my mother and to us all.

After my mums sudden death , i needed to find a carehome for my dad .
In my occupation , i've visited hundreds of care homes but have never felt such warmth , friendliness and attention to detail for peoples care .
Every member of staff , from the admin staff to the handyman and all of the care
and maintenance team in between are unbelievable.
It chokes me just to know my dad is in the best hands ever .
His days were just spent wasting away in front of the tv at home , but now he's
cleaning litter , tossing pancakes and just this afternoon been entertained by a country and western singer .
I always though care homes were where you went to die , but my dad has had a new lease of life i could only dream off .
The most amazing place ever !!!

Milner House is a shining example of what a care home should be like. It is a very well-managed home from home. The many communal areas are spacious, and the bedrooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities. The food is very good and varied. There are many activities every day, both indoors and outside
and trips out in the mini bus. All staff, no matter their role, consistently go above and beyond to ensure all needs are met, that the residents are happy and are treated with kindness and dignity at all times. I cannot recommend Milner House highly enough

Just wanted to say a big thankyou for all your help on Sat 28th Feb which was mums 90th birthday. we wanted to celebrate with mum so asked to use the dining room and small lounge area, we had visitator's popping in thru the day to see mum, the staff were very helpful and we didn't feel we were in anyway
in the way so thankyou to everyone staff and residents.
mum enjoyed her day and she got to meet her youngest Great granddaughter. everyone who visited though mum looked well and liked her room, so thanks again. wonder if were be celebrating her 100th

My sister has been here 3 1/2 years. Her care has always been excellent. As she gets a little bit worse her care improves. Recommend on all accounts.

My lifelong best friend has been a resident here for 3 years. We visit every month and I cannot pay the care home sufficient compliments. My friend is looked after immaculately and with such warmth, kindness and consideration - and we, as visitors, are treated in just the same way.
