Mum is well looked after and cared for. Her keyworker knows her likes and dislikes. I find that the home responds well to ideas, suggestions, and comments regarding Mum's needs.
Mum feels settled here now, just misses a group of residents to talk to, as many are bedroom bound.
I feel that the monthly
fees are too high for what she receives, but do appear to be on a par with other nursing homes.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Norfolk HouseThank you for your feedback regarding Norfolk House.

We are so pleased to hear that you feel mum is well cared for and is settled. The team hold themselves to a very high standard and this will mean a lot to them as they continue their hard work.

We are sorry to hear that Mum misses interaction with other residents. Please be assured that if mum wishes to visit other residents, the staff would be happy to assist in facilitating this.
If mum would like to discuss interaction with others and how we could assist with this, please be assured that the Lifestyle team or other team members would be happy to do so.

Regarding the monthly fees, if you would like to further discuss this and the breakdown of how fees are calculated, please do let the Home Manager know as they would be happy to facilitate a meeting.

Thank you again.

Jubilee House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have been visiting Serena for the past 4 and a half years. When she went into residential care my wife and I , understandably, has concerns about her welfare in a Care Home. After our first visit to Jubilee House, we had no concerns whatever. I believe that for some Care Home Carers, it is just a
job to them. For the whole team at Jubilee, I believe their work is a "calling" and a natural vocation for their true feelings of proper care for the Residents. I have never heard a raised voice, a note of frustration or sense of annoyance towards any of the those in their care. What I have seen is total love and commitment towards the residents. I also know that the Carers frequently buy presents out of their own money for the Residents on their birthdays. The social side of Jubilee House is outstanding with frequent, and often, events arranged that are incredible and must surely raise the spirit of those that can appreciate it. My wife and I cannot thank everyone at Jubilee enough.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Sister has been at Jubilee House for some time. I see her frequently and she has always been well presented, and always has a smile on her face which, in my opinion, is due to the staff and the good care she receives. There is always a very happy atmosphere from the moment of entering the front door,
where you are treated like a friend by all the dedicated staff, which radiates throughout Jubilee House. Everywhere is always clean, tidy and well maintained, as is all areas, inside and out. There is always, on a daily basis, activities for the residents, whether cooking, exercises, gardening, mobility and many other. I, as her sister, are always informed and kept up to date of matters relating to her health and wellbeing. I will always be happy to, and have, recommended Jubilee House to others. I cannot praise Jubilee House high enough for all they have done and do for my Sister and all of the other residents that need their care and support.

My mother was admitted to Jubilee House 18 months ago, when it became to much for us to look after her at home. It made it a bit easier for her as she had had two weeks there the year before. The staff were so welcoming and she settled quite quickly. To begin with she would stay in her room and watch
TV but after a few months of encouragement from the staff she started taken part in many activities. Unfortunately she had a stroke and is now nursed in bed. But still some activities are brough to her bedside. I cannot give the staff enough praise for the work they do, from the nurses carers, domestic and reception workers. Sometimes meals are a problems, not wanting to eat. She gets encouragement from the staff. I have recommended other families to Jubilee House. Thank you for looking after her so well. The family appreciate every thing you do for her.

Choosing a care home for a loved one is one of the most difficult and emotional decisions a family can make. When our father became a full-time resident at Garth House, we were naturally anxious, but we need not have worried.
From day one, the care, kindness and professionalism shown by all the staff
have been outstanding. Despite the challenges of caring for residents with dementia, everyone is friendly, positive and genuinely caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
Communication is excellent. Sheena, the Manager, and Favour, one of the nurses, always keep us informed and contact us promptly if there are any concerns about Dad's wellbeing, which gives us great reassurance.
Whether arranging a haircut, a chiropodist visit or simply answering our questions, everything is handled efficiently and with compassion.
Importantly, Dad is happy, safe and well cared for. We are extremely grateful to the entire team and would have no hesitation in recommending Garth House to other families

WOW! What a privilege to enjoy a concert by one of the carers while the team cheerfully kept everyone cool in this hot weather. Our mother was thriving at WCH so we were a bit worried when ownership changed. Luckily, we are impressed with CUK's attention to detail and drive to raise quality. Most
importantly, the marvellous WCH team, who we have grown to love, are still there caring and even occasionally singing to mum. The positivity they constantly show and passion to give care is humbling. Mum loves people watching and the smiles, laughter and gentle touches from everyone, not only the carers, keeps her engaged and happy. Dementia has taken away a lot but kindness still warms her and the attention given to her around food is much appreciated. Family and friends have noted her improvements so after years of supporting her care at home I finally took a longer break as mum is now in good hands. THANK YOU to all at WCH as each person has helped create mum's comfortable home.

I find the staff are very good at their jobs and treat the residents with respect. Occasionally, my wife is not dressed as I would like, and her compression socks are occasionally not put on. Some of the wonderful staff go above and beyond, which is so good to see. Staff are becoming more aware of dementia
residents' needs, which can only be of benefit all round.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Walton ParkThank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience.
At Walton Park care home, we set a high standard for the care provided by our team, so we are very pleased to hear you feel they go above and beyond.
The care provided is very tailored to each resident, and we appreciate your comments on how we could be more thoughtful around the clothing your wife sometimes wears. We would like to offer you the opportunity to discuss this in more detail and a member of our team will reach out to you to arrange a chat very soon. Please always feel free to contact or speak to the team to voice any concerns that you may have.

Just visited my Mother in law on Saturday and they had a wonderful event in the afternoon for D Day. Lovely decorations, a great spread of food and there were 2 singers in army uniform singing songs around that era. Everyone loved the event and it certainly got the residents singing. Sally and Mandeep
did an exceptional job in setting the day up. Well done. Even though the weather wasn't in our favour that did not dampen the day.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear that you and your mother-in-law enjoyed our D-Day celebration.
It was wonderful to see so many residents joining in with the singing and reminiscing as the performers brought the era to life. Sally and Mandeep will be thrilled to hear your kind words and recognition of all their hard work in making the day so special.
Although the weather wasn’t on our side, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit of the occasion. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience it means a great deal to our team.

Very dedicated staff all bringing important personalities into my mothers day. The home clearly treat their staff as well as they do their residents. The home is clean and tidy with all risks like tripping hazards well managed. The passion of may of the carers is outstanding and they really bring my
mother to life.

My husband was at Copice Lea for a short time having moved from a previous nursing home. The staff here are more caring and communicative. The food is excellent and the whole ambience is of a stately home. I would highly recommend this establishment for a loved one.

I have been visiting Jubilee House weekly for a year with my therapy dog. The residents are treated with kindness and respect and their dignity is always maintained. With imaginative activities and delicious food. I would thoroughly recommend.

Having been living in this nursing home for 8 months, I have found the carers kind, considerate, ultimately professional and perform their vocation with the utmost dedication and kindness. Their willingness to care at all times is paramount with a calm surring adding to the experience of the whole staff.
All activities catered for with dedicated staff. A first class home.

Kingsclear

My husband, Gerald is currently in KingsClear and from the first week he has improved enormously. This is due to the care and high performance of the staff who are aware at all times of the needs and whereabouts of the residents. The social layout of the care-home itself with dining rooms/lounges including
outside verandas with seating in the shade on each floor gives the residents room to socialise and not spend 24/7 in their room. Also the lovely gardens at the rear with easy access. Like many care homes there are regular activities and social events which residents are encouraged but not forced to attend.
I would highly recommend KingsClear Care Home.

Priory Court

I needed my mum to have a week respite as I am her full time carer. I was only prepared to let my mum stay in a care uk home. From looking round, dropping off and collecting mum 7 days later I could not have been more impressed. Mum loved it so much she said did she have to go home. I know that if I
needs some time off that mum will be
Happy to stay at priory court again. All the family were upset that mum would be staying at a residential home for a week but they all visited and were very happy and impressed with the amenities and the wonderful staff. Which put their minds at rest. I personally was able to have a restful anxious free week knowing mum was safe with professional caring staff at a lovely home. I would recommend priory court

Think I loved it but don't remember too well. I am living with vascular dementia. My daughter tells me I said I didn't want to go home. I did say I would love to go again. I am 90 years old. All the people were very lovely.
