Our families would like to express our sincere thanks for the care, kindness and professionalism shown to our uncle, especially in his final days. The end-of-life care he received was compassionate and respectful. On the night he passed away, staff were attentive and gently kept us informed as he became
close to the end. They arranged music he would have enjoyed, which brought comfort and peace in his final moments. These thoughtful actions meant a great deal to us. The carers showed genuine kindness, bringing food so we could stay with him and ensuring family members felt welcome and supported. Reception staff were always warm and reassuring, and nursing staff were empathetic, honest and professional throughout. We also appreciated the welcoming tea and coffee communal area and the cakes, which offered comfort during long and emotional visits. As a family, we felt listened to and included, and our uncle was treated with dignity and compassion right until the end of his life.

The staff here are lovely. They have really worked hard to settled my mum in with Dash + Richard really going the extra mile. Thats not to say the other carers + staff don't do the same. They have managed to get my mum walking again and she is very comfortable and relaxed. The occasional behaviour is
understood because they know who she normally is. The suite is tidy and ideal setting to promote independace + wellbeing.

Echelforde

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our Mum first moved to Echelforde Care Home in January 2023 following a series of falls at home.
Mums health slowly deteriorated over the three years, she became frail and more inclined to spend time in the comfort of her own room.
In her final weeks she told me that she didn't want to move elsewhere,
she wanted to die at Echelforde where she knew everyone caring for her.
The care she received at the end of her life was truly amazing. Steff, Eva and Griffin, supported by the district palliative care team, and their other colleagues, cared for Mum and us with such empathy and understanding and affection. We were encouraged to visit, to stay overnight when we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for mum or for us as a family. Mum was never alone, this brings us all great comfort.
We will always be indebted to Ellen and Echelforde for enabling a calm, peaceful and pain-free death for our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. With heartfelt thanks to you all.

From the moment my daughter found this home for my brother, I was so thrilled at the service and friendship shown to us. The lady in charge came to the hospital and spoke to my brother and myself, and did the paper work at his bedside urgently, as Xmas was upon us, and I was going to my youngest daughter
for 4 days over Xmas to have a break, as I have been doing everything for him for 3 years, since his wife passed away, and he has no children. He has said he likes it here and only moved in today.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our Mother has been at Liberham for over 2 yrs. and is very settled there.
She enjoys the routine, activities, outings and the gardens (where a daily walk in most weathers is her aim).
The staff are excellent and always focused on the residents and their needs. They operate as a team and are very
well led and supported.
Communication with myself, brother and sister is always timely when necessary and we are actively encouraged to review Mum's care plan with the carers as well as with Mum herself.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for your lovely review. Mum is very much a part of life at Liberham, and we all enjoy seeing her heading out for her daily walk around the gardens.
It’s wonderful to know that the routines, activities and outings bring her enjoyment, and your kind words about the team are really appreciated. The team genuinely care about each resident and work closely together to make sure everyone feels safe, supported and valued.
We also really appreciate the open and trusting relationship we have with you, your brother and sister. Being able to share updates and involve you and your mum in her care planning is something we feel is so important.
Thank you again for your trust and for taking the time to share your experience. It is a privilege to care for your mum and to have her with us at Liberham Lodge.

Greenview Hall is an absolutely wonderful care home. I cannot stress enough how exceptional a care home it is. It's a real home from home. We felt very welcomed when we visited the care home, & knew at the end of visiting several other homes during that day, that this home was where we wanted our
Mum to live. ALL the staff are amazing, so welcoming, friendly, considerate & kind. The care home is kept to an excellent standard, all areas are clean & spotless, & the room's & en-suite bathrooms are very spacious. There are plenty of activities to keep residents happy & the food menu is varied & of a very high standard.

Dad moved to Amherst House in September after living independently on his own for several years. It was a quick decision to move, and it took Dad a while to settle into this new way of life.
Everyone on the team, from care staff, support workers, chef and management have worked to resolve any issues
or concerns raised, and Dad is now settled, happier and starting to enjoy this new phase of life.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has been a resident of Milner House Care home for approximately three and a half years. We have seen a number of changes of personnel in that time. Milner House is a beautiful home very warm, cosy and well maintained. The staff are lovely and friendly they treat us all with kindness and generosity,
we are asked every time we visit if we would like beverages and meals. Mum is thriving aside from her advanced dementia she is very well, healthy and well looked after. Her room is a lovely size with ensuite facilities it has just been redecorated with the addition of a new carpet and curtains it is fresh and bright. Mum loves all of the activities on offer in the time that she has been a resident she has enjoyed trips to garden centres, the local pub, Denbies Winery and Brighton for a fish and chip lunch. The cleaners are very evident and keep the home lovely and clean and smelling fresh.

Liberham Lodge has been excellent. My father had a month's respite care in LL whilst I was away on holiday as my mum wouldn't have been able to manage in an emergency.

A few months later, unfortunately my Dad had to go in permanently - but LL was full. We moved my dad into another home but it wasn't

satisfactory - the care did not feel up to standard. I worked with Christine from LL over a few weeks - and as soon as there was a space free she let me know and we moved my Dad.

I have been really happy with the care at LL - my Dad has Alzeimers and medical needs - and there are so many staff caring for him, it is excellent. The food is good, and they have a bar and cafe - and it is really welcoming.

My Dad has had issues, and they have called ambulances, checked on him in hospital and facilitated his release as soon as possible as the home is much better for him than hospital.

Everyone is great, bit I must highlight Marian, James, Christine & Chris. All lovely!

My Mum has resided at Stanecroft for the last 3 years and sadly this week passed away.
I can honestly say that they have provided my Mum with the utmost care and support during her time with them and in the past few weeks leading up to her passing have shown nothing but respect and love to not just
her but to us, her family.
We will miss the whole team that Emma successfully leads and our heartfelt gratitude to the carers who go above and beyond looking after the residents.
Our love and gratitude to you all x

Although there is a lot of residents there, all with different and more severe needs than my mother she has always been treated well and seems to enjoy the variety of activities and entertainment that is provided.

Greenview Hall

The home is very family oriented. They have some excellent staff with some going that extra mile. The home is clean and the receptionists welcoming to all visitors. An area for improvement would be communication.
But all in all a recommended home if you need a family feel for your loved ones.
