While mum was slightly unsettled at the prospect of moving into Anning House for respite the staff have gone over and above to make her feel welcome, even noticing an upcoming birthday an making suggestions to family of how they could host a party or afternoon tea and ideas of decorating. I have been
kept up to date with regular phone calls and opinions sought on both care plan but general wellbeing and likes / dislikes etc. The result of the care and attention from staff is mum has now settled, regularly taking part in the broad and varied daily activity schedules planned meticulously by the activity coordinators. Mum has even had some pampering with her hair and nails done. All the staff from the reception, to the nursing team are amazing, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming and I could not wish for anything more, the combined care really gives me peace of mind and mum is thriving with the personal care and attention she receives. My thanks to everyone at Anning House

Every aspect of Mum's care at Anning House was first class. When she was able to join in with superbly run activities run by an enthusiastic team. Mum's actual care was given always in a gentle and dignified way with a caring, empathetic team - I would not hesitate to recommend. She could not have been
in a better place. All appreciation and thanks go to a wonderful team.

My um passed away in Anning House after living there (with dementia) for 3 1/2 years. The care team always cared with dignity, respect, love and humour.
They respected my privacy in the final days/hours and shared our sorrow. I will always appreciate the care given.

Dad stayed at the potteries for respite. He was well looked after. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much.
Dad was fussy with food and they made sure they changed his menu to suit his likes and dislikes each day, so he always had foods he wanted.
The activities were always fun and
engaging and dad enjoyed being there to take it all in.
Rooms are big and well equipped.
Having nurses on hand was great for him too.
Was a shame he had to go home.

Mum spent almost five years at the Potteries. We felt very lucky to have found such a modern, clean, family friendly care home.
There are some exceptional members of staff that go above and beyond and helped make my mum's time at the Potteries as enjoyable as it could be in the late stages of Dementia.
We were devastated when we had to move mum to a different care home due to financial reasons. Unfortunately mum did not adjust well to the move and passed away shortly after.
I have fond memories of mum's time at the potteries.

My Dad spent the last 3 months of his days in Anning House. At the time of entering, he had been adamant that he never wanted to be admitted to a Care Home, but his failing health meant that we as a family had no real alternative. However, the care, attention and devotion shown by all the nurses, carers,
and staff gave him a wonderful final part of his life. On behalf of the family I cannot give enough praise for all connected.
The minute we walked through the door, we all felt the warmth and comfort, and we had no doubts that Dad would be happy there. We were without question proved right.

I never thought I would write a review like this, and it has taken me a few months to find the words.

Anning House cared for my Dad, and it will always hold a very special place in my heart. My Dad loved the gardens, which brought him so much joy. The care and attention the gardener gives to both

the garden and the residents was truly special. He always took time to explain the flowers and plants, and this meant so much to my Dad and to us as a family.

No care home is perfect, and no one wants to move a loved one into care. Could I find small things that could be improved? Yes. But could I ask for a more caring and compassionate team? Absolutely not. The staff were amazing.

My Dad celebrated his 83rd birthday at Anning House, and the team supported us to plan a brilliant celebration. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our Dad. Anning House will always hold a special place in my heart.

my mothers dementia and general health became more demanding and my husband was terminally ill. I couldn't manage it all so my sister and I made the decision for our mother to have respite care at Anning house Weymouth.
Luckily there was a free room. It was an easy process to organize the stay and
Sarah, one of the managers supported us through this change.
Anning house is a lovely purpose built building for elderly care, welcoming, full of natural light and big window views. The staff are knowledgeable and confident in their care of residents and I was impressed that when my mothers complicated medicine regime was reviewed by staff they immediately contacted the GP for support and review of her care plan. We felt that she was in good care.
Her ensuite room was comfortable, warm and inviting.
she feels cared for, safe and has company and activities there .
All of the family like to visit and take her for coffee in the cafeteria.
She is now a permanent resident.

We visited The Potteries for the 1st time this month as we live in Canada. My MIL has been there since June and seems very happy and settled. The staff were very involved and interactive with all the residents and it was reassuring to see how much everyone was cared for. It is so nice to see how much
was going on and to see the enrichment programs offered. Thank you for all you do for the residents.

I was very happy with the respite care my mum received. The care workers were kind and respectful to her needs. Mum was made to feel at home. The activites were good and she loved going to the cafe with family and having coffee and cake. I would definitely recommend The Potteries.

The Potteries is excellent. All the staff are caring, kind, helpful, friendly and approachable. They react quickly to any queries. The home has a cosy and warm atmosphere and is kept clean and tidy. I have been at The Potteries for 3 weeks now and have settled in well and am also enjoying the food and
some activities. A carer or nurse will check on me every hour and help me at meal times. I could not wish to be in a better care home, it is perfect for me.
