Overall Experience

A massive thank you to all at Llys Cyncoed for the exceptional level of care and support given to my parents over the last five years. I cannot praise the team highly enough for the loving and welcoming environment they create for residents and their visitors. Accommodation, facilities and housekeeping

are all to a very high standard and the quality of food is excellent. There are numerous social activities and trips for those who wish to participate but there is no pressure to join in for those who prefer to live more independently. The team frequently go the extra mile to fulfil the preferences of individual residents and adapt to their changing needs. My parents came to regard many of the staff as friends and I was always grateful for the support provided to me as a family member and the welcome I was offered whenever I called in or visited. I have nothing but praise for the staff and would not hesitate to recommend Llys Cyncoed to prospective residents and their families.

Overall Experience

We have nothing but praise for the professional, caring and helpful team we have met whilst selecting a care home for my sister. The whole process was made very easy for us by everyone and the warm welcome we receive at each visit is like being wrapped in a warm blanket. My sister has settled very well

and we couldn't be more delighted with our choice of care home.

Overall Experience

My wife has been a resident in the secure accommodation for nearly 5 years. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the work that the staff do. In 5 years there has only been one hiccup which was swiftly dealt with.
The ambience, food and facilities are excellent. IT's expensive but the extra

cost over the other other facilities available in the area is , if it can be afforded , well worth while.

Overall Experience

Excellent level of care and attention to needs. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Interests are considered and every effort is made to ensure engagement. The lifestyle leader organised a room, decoration and refreshments (without us asking, a lovely surprise) for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday

so that my father-in-law and the rest of the family could be included in the celebrations. It is a great relief that we know that my father-in-law is being cared for and is made comfortable 24/7.

Overall Experience

Very pleased with the attention shown to Dad's needs and the care given. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and all are very helpful. Lifestyle staff have considered Dad's interests and have set up a chess club with one member of staff, who is organising this, teaching herself to play in order

to join in, really impressed with her. Escorts on mini bus trips have been excellent, this included a Christmas visit to a family members home which was lovely for Dad. Most importantly we know that Dad is being cared for and is comfortable for 24 hours a day.

Overall Experience

What a truly fantastic care home. We are thrilled that our family member has settled so well and that is truly down to the dedication of all staff members. Everyone contributes to make the residents and families feel that Llys Cyncoed is genuinely a home from home. Of course the building is superb but

it's the people who make this place so special. I would have no hesitation in recommending Llys Cyncoed to anyone. You really do go the extra mile, a huge thank you to you all. If family members are considering a care home, Llys Cyncoed is a definite, you will not be disappointed.

Overall Experience

We couldn't have found a nicer care home for Mum. It's like moving in with a big friendly family! Mum's been here for a year now and there's always plenty to do every day from puzzles, number games, bingo, flower arranging, cinema and even in-house singers and musicians every week. Mum especially enjoys

trips out on the minibus and still gets in some retail therapy at the shops every so often! Mum's made lots of friends, enjoys nutritious homemade food and makes use of the lovely garden. The staff at all levels at Llys Cyncoed are very professional, friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble, their priority is the resident's happiness. The social areas are perfect, open plan but split into a Bistro area for coffee and cakes, the parlour for TV and relaxing and the restaurant where tables are beautifully dressed and an upstairs room also used for activities and to watch films. There's a family room for special occasions but Llys Cyncoed love an excuse to have a party for everyone.

Overall Experience

My mother has been in residence for almost a year now. Both the facilities and level of care have been excellent. There are plenty of options with regards to activities, both on and off-site and the ratio of resident to staff means there is someone on hand at short notice to help. The food is generally

excellent and the menu is varied, there are also plenty of other options available outside of meal time.

Since Mum arrived at Llys Cyncoed in mid-July, she has become so relaxed and secure. The staff have engaged with her in a way that lets her feel a part of the home and not just a resident. She is thriving as our family had hoped for.

Overall Experience

My Dad has been a resident at Llys Cyncoed Care home for two years. The staff are totally dedicated and caring. My Dad has Parkinson's and so he requires quite a lot of personal care which I have found to be carried out in a very professional and caring manner. The resident comes first. I have been

contacted by the staff immediately when Dad was taken ill and an ambulance was called. Lovely staff stayed with Dad the entire time. I have regular contact about any updates on Dad which is helpful. The staff organise lots of social activities and trips out so there is something for everyone. Dad particularly enjoys the quizzes and giant crossword. There is live sport televised so you never miss out on a game, a Wimbledon final or the Olympics. There is a lovely garden too which Dad has been able to enjoy at times. I can't fault this care home for Dad. I know he is in caring and expert hands so I can rest easy. Thank you to all the great staff at Llys Cyncoed.

We could not have hoped for a better setting for my aunt's residential care. Overall Experience

My mum is currently at Llys Herbert Care Home having respite care. This is her second time there and she is thoroughly enjoying it again.
Not only is my mum being cared for but she has also made new friends and is taking part in the daily activities.
The facilities are excellent, her room is lovely

as are the communal areas.
My mum is really grateful for everything that is been done for her and the support she is being given.
All of the staff are excellent, they are very caring and nothing is too much for them.
I can highly recommend Llys Herbert as the care home to go to for either respite or full-time from the service my mum has received.

Overall Experience

My sister has spent most of her days at Llys Cyncoed and as I live in Canada the feedback and details were very comforting for me.
Though far away I had video calls set up with no hesitation from staff which was great. I have had the opportunity over the last 12 months to spend quite a lot in there

up until my mom's passing (the staff were amazing). Seeing for myself Llys Cyncoed is immaculate from the inside out the decor is outstanding and an atmosphere of warmth. In saying all this it goes much deeper it's the core of which is the staff. They are the most genuine loving and caring that I have met from concierge to management and staff in all departments which for me was the most important factor for which I am deeply thankful. My mom was on the terrace (dementia floor) she was very respected and loved as all other residents. It's a very difficult and emotional time to place a loved one in a home I would highly recommend this care home without any hesitation!

Overall Experience

This place is wonderful, from the first show around to the present.
It was a big step as a family to put our Mother in on respite, even though we knew it was needed. The whole team made the check-in a smooth, pleasant experience and put us all at ease. We are thrilled with how quickly our Mother has

settled in, made friends and joined in with the activities on offer.
It's lovely for us to see her so happy and the change in her. We call it her five-star hotel. The rooms, meals and facilities are excellent.
The care given by the team in the dementia community has been amazing.

Overall Experience

When visiting today, my mother-in-law was going to join the Activities Manager for the chair exercise class. It was fabulous. She was very personable with all the residents, she knew all by name and their abilities to conduct some movements. She was very safety conscious of their personal limits and

referred to their progress. The activities were fun. She had a lovely way with the residents to win their confidence and trust. The mindfulness/breathing activity was relaxing and then the residents loved the end of the session doing the 'funky chicken' move, along with upbeat music. All left the room smiling and happy.
