Words can't describe just how wonderful Llys Herbert is. The building and facilities are spotless, well thought out and beautifully maintained but it is the staff that truly make the Home. Nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely care about every resident and have been so supportive during what has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. My relative is not the easiest at all, but she has been welcomed with love, compassion, understanding and really has settled. I cannot express just how grateful I am to every single person I have encountered. They have gone out of their way to work with us as a family and to make my relative feel comfortable and safe. There is always something going on for residents and families to get involved with and I am eternally grateful for the support we have received and the excellent standard of care that is provided.

We as a family could not wish for a better home for our aunt.

Mum has been a resident at Llys Cyncoed for nearly 9 years now. In August she fell and broke her hip (entirely her own accident) and spent some time in hospital. The care and concern shown by the home has been excellent. While she was in hospital staff visited her, even though the hospital is the other side of the city, kept in communication with the hospital and with family and were able to facilitate an earlier discharge than would otherwise be the case. Being in her home environment helped Mum recover much more quickly. Staff have been attentive, caring and considerate throughout and supportive of Mum's continuing rehabilitation.

Moving a relative from their long-term home to a care home can be a very challenging time. The team at Llys Herbert has done a fantastic job in making this difficult transition as smooth as it could possibly be. After 4 weeks my mam is now settled and enjoying her new lease of life in this excellent and well managed facility. Thanks again to the Llys Herbert team for all that you have done and will continue to do.

I really feel that my relative is in the best place for her needs to be met and I am so pleased that we chose Llys Herbert.

All I can say is Llys Herbert is home to my family member, she is completely happy and very settled with what was a daunting prospect. The idea of living in a Care Home really did concern her but turns out she's more than happily surprised. The staff make the place. All the staff have the same attitude towards the residents it's quite remarkable how so many wonderful personalities are under one roof.

Mum considers herself very fortunate to be at Llys Cyncoed, and we would heartily recommend it to anyone considering a move to a care home.

My parents moved together to Llys Cyncoed three years ago. From my very first visit to view the home I have been struck with the warm welcome in the large, bright and beautifully decorated reception area. From here the communal areas, corridors and residents rooms are equally light, comfortable, well appointed and kept super-clean. My parents brought some of their own furniture, some was provided. Every effort is made to ensure the residents are as content and comfortable as possible with a wide variety of activities and entertainment available if wanted. My parents enjoyed a number of outings in the minibus.

The staff, whatever their role, are kind, respectful, professional and thoughtful towards the residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble. This was demonstrated recently in the care provided to my mother in her final days and my father before that.

I have never regretted choosing Llys Cyncoed as a home for my parents.

Despite being a rather private person, and having lived in comfort and privacy in her own house for many decades, Mum is totally happy at Llys Cyncoed. It is difficult to see how the combination of care, comfort, privacy and professionalism could be improved upon: it has the feel and atmosphere of a large and very happy family-- congratulations to the staff.

The staff at Llys Herbert who are mostly quite young are excellent they could not be more caring with Beryl and it's no surprise that she is very fond of them all. Her face lights up when they are near and although they are busy they always seem to make time to sing a little song or have a dance with her which I am sure makes her stay here so much better.

I am very happy with the care my dad is provided with. The staff are lovely with him which gives me peace of mind.

Llys Herbert is a beautiful home with excellent facilities. The staff are all welcoming, kind and caring. My cousin is very happy here and is well looked after.

My father is a long-term resident. He is receiving a good level of care. We appreciate the individual dedication of staff, the fact that they spend time with him and try to engage in conversation that interests him. The staff show patience sometimes under difficult circumstances. He enjoys his food and appreciates the help he sometimes needs during meal times. He does enjoy when the staff have been able to take him into the garden, or a short outing in the wheelchair. We find the care home well looked after, neat and tidy. We appreciate the offer to have a meal with him in the dining room or his room.

Activity team always very positive and frequent variety of activities. Well done all.

The management of the home are approachable and do everything in their power to assist where possible.
