Overall Experience

Mum moved into The Willows after being discharged from a six week hospital stay in June 2025.
I do believe that without the care and support mum received from the whole Willow's Staff Team, mum wouldn't have made it this far.
I am very grateful that mum has the dignity she deserves at this stage of

her illness.

Overall Experience

Our family will be forever grateful for the care and compassion shown to my granda during the last year of his life. He lived to the wonderful age of 95, and while we knew that time was precious, like most families we wished he could have gone on forever. He passed away just before Christmas following

a short illness, and he was also living with dementia. Throughout it all, the care staff were nothing short of exemplary.

The carers did far more than meet his physical needs - they treated him with genuine kindness, dignity, and respect. It was clear every single day that they truly cared about the residents as individuals, not just as patients. Knowing that my granda was safe, comforted, and shown compassion in the moments when we couldn't be by his side brought us immense peace during an incredibly painful time.

My granda could not have been in better hands, and our family will always hold deep gratitude for everything you did for him - and for us during those difficult last days.

Overall Experience

We have found staff to be extremely caring, kind and understanding with my dad and us as a family. The standard of care is truly outstanding, and every day, consistently, we find this. Barbara, Kath, Emma, Chelsea and Noel and all staff have been so supportive of my dad. Patient and truly genuine. Julie

organising activities is another credit to the team. My dad feels well looked after and respected. It must be a hard job with long hours. We couldn't be any more grateful. I couldn't praise them enough! We are very grateful.

Overall Experience

The staff are really friendly, nothing is a bother. The food is very tasty and plenty of it. When I first arrived from hospital I needed a hair cut - shave - shower which was done as soon as they could that day.

Overall Experience

When my mam came into this home she was not doing anything apart from sleeping and waiting for her carers which although were good but 1/4 hour call 4 times a day left her lonely. Mam now loves where she is, participates in all activities and is really happy thanks to all the friendly staff were nothing

is too much bother. Thank you all x

Staff are friendly and very caring and always respond to requests. A range of activities is on offer most days. Overall Experience

Dad had been in his previous care home for just over a year when we moved him to The Willows. The contrast was like chalk and cheese. The manager was there to welcome us and his room was made to feel like home within the first 10 mins, with the 'handyman' present immediately to move furniture etc. The

happy faced staff popped into his room to introduce themselves and the energy of the home was incredible. Unfortunately Dad's residence at The Willows was very short, but in that 2 weeks he told us he felt safe, understood and greatly respected. He didn't really need to tell us this as we could feel the change in him. We didn't know it at the time, but the nursing care we thought he needed turned out to be end of life care. We can't thank the staff enough for the deep sensitivity and compassion they showed not only Dad, but us as a family during this time...ensuring he passed with the utmost dignity and affording us memories of this time to cherish. We are profoundly and forever grateful.

Overall Experience

My grandad moved into Elwick Grange in March 2025. He loves it and settled in very well. All staff are brilliant, and very caring and approachable. He enjoys all activities, especially singing/sing songs. The food is excellent too. He takes part in all activities and loves them all. He is never lonely

as he has lots of new friends.

Overall Experience

My father moved into Elwick Grange in March. He has been made to feel at home and has had very good care. The activities are excellent especially singing which he enjoys.
The VE day party was really well organised. I feel that the staff enjoy their job and this reflects in the care given.

Overall Experience

My father-in-law moved in March and has felt very welcome. He enjoys all activites especially the sing alongs which is his firm favourite. He thoroughly enjoyed the VE Day celebrations. When I visit I'm always feel that I'm welcome and not getting in the way.

Overall Experience

I would give The Willows 100 stars if it was allowed because the care and compassion they gave my Brother during his short stay in Palliative Care was 100 percent! From the Managers/Admin staff to the Nurses, Carers, Cleaners, Laundry and Maintenance staff the level of care was reassuring to my Brother

and myself that all that could be done for him was done with kindness, friendly smiles and dedication to their work. Thank you so much for keeping him safe and as comfortable as possible in his final days.
