I am extremely happy with the care my mam gets at Cheviot Court. The staff are very caring and kind to my mam. The activities staff are amazing and go above and beyond for my mam, setting up video calls when I can't be there for a while. She's very happy and settled which gives me peace of mind.

The new manager has made significant, changes since her arrival. There are more activities for the residents to participate in and the helpful attitude of the staff is clearly evident. My sister likes the personal attention she receives from staff. We are always kept upto date in regards to my sisters
welfare. The friendly welcome from staff is also appreciated.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Five years ago I was faced with the dilemma of choosing a Care Home which I felt confident enough could meet the needs of my mother who was living with dementia. I struck gold when I opted for Armstrong House with it's warm welcoming environment and wonderful, caring and professional staff. Staff welcome
you with open arms and you immediately feel like one of the family. Mam thrived during her time here and loved the social interaction with others. She laughed at lot as she developed friendships with both residents and staff alike and I was immediately informed if staff had concerns about her health or wellbeing. A variety of regular activities provided her with a range of new and exciting experiences giving me peace of mind that she was being cared for in a safe and stimulating environment. Staff were always extremely kind, compassionate and supportive with everyone who visited and we always left comfortable in the thoughts that mam was happy and well cared for by exceptional staff.

My self and my sister visited Grangewood to see our friend.
As soon as we entered the home we were greeted by warm, friendly and professional staff. The home is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and has a wonderful home from home feel.
Residents were sat in various groups chatting or attending
activities and appeared very content and happy, staff engaging with Residents, taking time assist and chat when needed.
It is obvious to see that the manager Joleen and her team take great pride in offering a high level of care to their Residents. It was an absolute pleasure to visit Grangewood, what a lovely home you have

Every thing is good. Very satisfied with the care my mother receives. A small thing it would be nice to have an extra chair to sit on when visiting her in her room. The interior is well kept and regularly updated and replaced.

We are truly pleased to hear that you are satisfied with the care provided to your mother. The team pride themselves on delivering compassionate and attentive care and this will mean a lot to them as they continue this work.

Thankyou for providing feedback regarding an extra chair for visitations. Following discussion with the Home Manager, we are pleased to advise that the team have provided another chair in your mother's room, and this will be available for your next visit.

Thankyou again for your feedback.

Overall the experience visiting Grangewood everyday to see my husband over 4 1/2 yrs has been one of the staff being kind caring helping in situations of concern and anxious times. There have been many. Without management and staff carers domestics senior staff and admin life would be very difficult.
The easy conversations the fun and activities are a welcomed break from the tough days when a loved one is unwell. They care for residents and family and friends are always welcomed to Grangewood. The food is good to excellent staff carers work very hard to achieve team work.

A lovely care home with lovely staff. My mam is happy here and well looked after. She is always clean and well-fed. The staff are caring and understanding and make an effort to get to know my mam, so much so that they know when she's not feeling 100% or something's not right. There's always activities
and they encourage my mam to join in. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe and happy environment.

My Dad was discharged from hospital into Armstrong House for palliative care. He was there for five weeks before his death. The nursing care my Dad received at Armstrong House was second to none. Every member of the team who looked after Dad was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. He was treated with
the utmost respect, despite being bedbound and unable to participate in activities. His safety was managed with crash mats and pressure pads at first, as Dad was at risk of falls. Later on, his pain was expertly managed to keep him pain free, but also to keep him alert enough to know we were there.
Our whole family was welcomed warmly. We felt that we and the staff were one big team looking after my Dad.
The professionals working at Armstrong House are very special people: from the management team down to nurses, carers, cleaners, laundry assistants, handyman and chef. I couldn't recommend the place more highly.
