As soon as I walked into Oak House I was extremely impressed it reminded me of a hotel more than a care home. My mother has just moved in because we weren't happy about how she was treated in the previous care home. The staff are all lovely and very caring and I know my mother is going to be very happy
there. We can see the improvement in just a few day, she has really come out of her shell, it puts me at ease because we know she is getting all the care she deserves.

We visit our friend every week, we can sit in the reception area/ cafe & enjoy snacks, tea & coffee. The staff are very engaging &so is the manager. There are many activities for all residents to participate in. My wife is able to have private time with her friend to do her hair in the lovely
hair salon too. Also one of the staff decorates their nails, this gives dignity to those that always had them done. We had a lovely time at the celebration of time the home had been in operation. Thank you to all for inviting us.

I visited a friend today who is staying for respite care. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The care home is beautifully presented, very clean and has a lovely feel to it. It feels more like a hotel than a care home I was very impressed. The nurse made me a cup of tea which came with digestive
biscuits which was so kind of her.

Winchcombe is a fantastic home. When mums hospital discharge was delayed several times meaning we would be on holiday when she was finally discharged, the team at Winchcombe took over and made everything absolutely seamless meaning we didn't have to cancel our holiday.
From the minute you walk in the
door everyone is so welcoming and smiling which makes visit days that little bit easier. The carers work so hard. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they do genuinely care about the residents which shines through when they interact with them.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Reply from Emily Swatton, Reviews Team at Winchcombe PlaceHi Claire!
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. Big thank you to all the staff at Oak House for the great care they give my wife over the past 5 years. They have kept her in as good a health as her condition allows. The staff are professional, caring and are always available when I need information or help with my wife. Many of the staff are not
just doing a 'job' I think it's more a vocation with them. Keep up the good work all.

My mother has been in Winchcombe for nearly a year now and I have been extremely impressed with the home and the way she has been treated.

The facilities are first rate and the home is always clean and tidy but more important than that is the atmosphere in the home and this is down to the staff and

the way they treat the my mother.

I have been to visit my mother over Christmas and at a time when most of use are spending time with families the staff at Winchcombe are working hard to make it a great time for family members who are resident at the home.

I would like to say a very big thanks for the caring professionalism i see in every member of the team at Winchcombe, from the senior managers to the careers and support staff.

Reply from Emily Swatton, Reviews Team at Winchcombe PlaceHi John! Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. Mum has been a resident of Hardy suite for a year now and has become very settled. The staff have formed a great relationship with her and their care is second to none. She has been encouraged to join in on activities which she enjoys and they have been helpful in keeping her active. I am happy that
she is safe and very well cared for.

Overall the home is very good. Very friendly and helpful staff , great entertainment activities, care is very good the home is very welcoming and the ambiance and gardens are lovely. My Mums only complaint is the food. She does not eat big meals but would like more meat or fish and fresh salad and vegetables
and less mashed potatoes. She would also like more tasty food.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Queen's CourtI would like to thank you for your kind review of Queens Court. We are so pleased to hear that you find the home welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff, and that you are happy with the care, activities, and surroundings, including the gardens.

We really appreciate your comments regarding the food. Your feedback is imperative to us to allow us to make improvements where concerns are identified.
Please be advised that the Chef or a member of the staff visits mum daily to discuss the days menu, and there is always an alternative menu available for those who would prefer something different. We always aim to accommodate personal preferences, including portion sizes, likes, and dislikes, and will continue to work with your mum to ensure her meals are enjoyable, with options such as more meat or fish, fresh salads, and vegetables, where requested.

We know how important good nutrition and fluid intake are to overall health and wellbeing. This is why we take a personalised approach to meals and drinks, ensuring preferences and nutritional needs are always considered.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, it enables us to keep take action to improve the experience for everyone at the home.

Our mum has lived in Larkland House for over a year now and we would not want her to be anywhere else. She is obviously very fond of the staff team, as they are of her. I don't worry about her now in the way I did when she was at home with carers. I know the team take care of her and we can enjoy our
time visiting mum in a safe and caring environment. Any questions are answered, any concerns are addressed and we also appreciate the care of the nursing team as mum's needs increase. We love our mum hugely and feel she is happy and well cared for at Larkland, that's all we could hope for.
