From the moment your staff reviewed my mothers' situation in hospital, to the moment she was tucked up in bed at the home, everything was carried out in a professional and timely manner. The staff showed empathy and all my questions were answered. My mother currently needs to be hand fed and the staff
are patient and caring. The facilities at the home are amazing and I hope my mother recovers enough to make use of them.

Newbury Grove

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother/in-law moved to Newbury Grove in July 2023. She was reluctant to leave the familiarity of her own home, despite struggling to look after herself but the kind and caring staff made the passage easier for her.
They treated her with love and respect, helping her through the terrifying onset
of dementia. They cared for her physically, sitting with her when she needed company, painting her nails and brushing her hair when she wanted to look good for her visitors and ensuring she was eating properly when she forgot.
The home has some amazing facilities and there is a wide range of entertainment options available. The setting is very pleasant and clean and there is a lovely garden to sit in, weather permitting. The food is excellent too but best of all, the staff are lovely. They work so hard and are very dedicated.
I can thoroughly recommend Newbury Grove for anyone who wants to find their loved one somewhere safe and nurturing to move to.

Home is always friendly and approachable. Good interaction with relatives residents and staff. Regular meetings and updates. Good management structure in place, for both clinical and non-clinical enquiries. Rooms are clean and tidy, as are all communal areas. Nice to see the coffee shop back in operation.
Food could be improved by waiting for a menu change for winter. As always, chocolate éclairs go fast, and all residents love them.

From the first day of Mum arriving at Clara Court staff have been wonderful. Always kind to the residents and helpful to families. If they have concerns about anything they are very proactive in letting relatives know if there is any issue and always do their absolute best to resolve unexpected problems.
I have been so lucky to have my mother looked after over the years. She is now approaching the more final stages of her dementia but it is a great comfort for us all to know she is surrounded by love. Thank you.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Newbury Grove is a beautifully maintained & exceptionally run care home, very caring professional staff including registered nurses, always greeted with a smile & friendly conversation when visiting. We booked a tour of Newbury Grove to see for ourselves, also as a comparison visited many
er care homes, but we did not experience anything near as good as what Newbury Grove had to offer, it is an outstanding care home above & beyond anything else that we viewed and experienced. Mum has been a permanent resident for 6 months at Newbury Grove now, she is thriving & has settled in well, with a whole new social life. Staff retention is excellent but also important to engage with the same familiar faces each day. Mum joins in with the various daily activities, she is happy, safe & being well looked after, also eating well with the excellent choice of healthy food on the menu. It is a daunting task choosing the right care home but as a family we could not have wished for anything better.

night when I was in pain. Lovely's lovely friendly staff who couldn't have done more to welcome my family and and myself during my 2 weeks stay.

The service we have received from Mountbatten Grange has been exceptional. All staff have been very supportive to my Mum and my family at a very stressful and emotional time. They have made the very difficult decision of putting my Mum into care, worry free and have continued to be extremely supportive

My step mother is a resident. It was my dads first birthday with out his wife at home. I emailed them telling them this and asked if the could do a cake for him. Answer yes they would be delighted to do so and it was in the diary. Well my husband and I took my dad to see his wife. All the staff were
kind and wished him a happy birthday. After lunch they took us upstairs to a family room, where they had decorated it with balloons, happy birthday signs. On a table in the room was the cake with sandwiches crisps and some bubbles with glasses. They sang to my dad, wished him happy birthday. This was so much more than I expected and my Dad said it was very kind and mad his day very special.
Thank you all so very much.
