My mother Ena was admitted for respite and medical conditions to the care home on 24/11 for two weeks to have constant care for a bed sore. The staff was very helpful and caring and went the extra mile with mums food requirements when she didn't fancy what was on the menu. The care that she was shown
was excellent, every member of staff she had attending her was so caring and attentive to her needs.

Mum has been at Bickerton House for over a year now and she clearly feels very at home. From the early days, making the transition from her own home to settling in, everyone without exception has been so kind and helpful making her feel well looked after. Mum has her own ways of wanting to do things
and the staff have gently encouraged her to join in some of the activities such as the seated exercise class which she really enjoys and this helped her to get to know the other residents. One of her other favourite things to do is go to the coffee shop to have a cappuccino. As a family, we are always made to feel very welcome when we visit as all the staff are so friendly and we know that when we leave mum is in good hands!

On recommendation of a friend, my husband and I made contact with Natalie at Oak House to discuss some respite care. My husband had just come out of hospital, and trying to cope with various issues as well as Parkinson's which he has had for a number of years.
Natalie was pleasant, professional and
very welcoming over the telephone. We arranged a visit the next day to view Oak House before potentially making a booking for respite care.
On entering Oak House, it felt warm and welcoming and like a big family unit.
Having a look around, we knew this was the right place for Chris, and so made a booking for the following week.
Chris loved his time at Oak House. He found everyone extremely friendly, professional and respectful at all times. The whole environment is one that gives people the opportunity to thrive at their own pace, leave them to rest when required, and to include everyone as you would a family.
A very special place!

My mother has been a resident at Mountbatten Grange for 18+ months and is happy, safe and engaged with the community. We're all very satisfied with the care and attention that she receives on a daily basis. The staff are attentive, caring, compassionate and fun.
Her friends and the rest of my family
enjoy visiting her but more importantly, cannot express how grateful we are to now that she is safe and being well looked after.
She moved into the facility having been taken ill and spending several weeks in hospital. Since moving to Mountbatten, the improvements to her health and overall well-being are marked. The daily activities keep her mind sharp and she enjoys the entertainment and pamper days.
I visited a number of places before we settled on Mountbatten and we're all very happy with the decision.

Mum spent 6/7 months st Winchcombe after a spell of ill health & not being able to cope in her own home anymore.
From day one Mum (& family) were made so welcome. Mum settled pretty quickly into a really good routine of exceptional care, good food, & so much kindness from all the staff.
After
a few months Mum had made such an improvement that she was able to go back to her own home which is something we never thought would have been possible.
So grateful to all at Winchcombe ... Our family would recommend without a doubt.

It’s been such a pleasure to support your mum and your family, and we’re so pleased with the progress she made while she was with us. Seeing someone regain confidence and independence enough to return home is exactly why we do what we do.
Thank you again for your lovely recommendation. We wish your mum all the very best back at home and please do keep in touch, it would be great for you to join us for a coffee again soon.

I couldn't speak more highly of the experience we have had so far with Winchcombe place. The help and support that we received before my mother in law became a resident was superb, the staff have been warm, friendly and incredibly welcoming, they have made a very challenging time a little lighter. The
facilities are fantastic and provide a very secure and very homely environment to be enjoyed by the residents and their family and friends.

My Stepmum has been at Mountbatten Grange for three or so months now. Realising that independent living is not an option any more, moving to the care sector was not without its difficult moments and a major concern for me. After being somewhere else for a while moving here has seen a huge transformation
in her outlook on life which is just incredible and she is now so happy.
I can't fault the communication, care and consideration that has been shown to my Stepmum and to the family. It is truly exemplary. The management and care staff just look after everything and nothing is too much trouble. Mountbatten Grange is just superb.

My Mum had been at Mountbatten Grange for 3 years living with advanced dementia when she passed away this month. The positive leadership at this care home drives a committed and caring team. Mum experienced kindness and compassion from staff at all levels, as did her family. All staff were friendly
and on the whole joyful. The care home was clean, well furnished and bright and airy and there were plenty of activities going on for residents. Her end of life care was handled beautifully and she was treated with dignity and respect. Couldn't ask of more from a care home. Thank you.

Mountbatten Grange is fabulous on every level. Debbie, Claire and the whole team are all brilliant and make every element of this often painful phase of life, so much more bearable. The level of attention, care and kindness shown by everyone is unmatched. Although everyone is toally professional throughout,
there is a real sense of family and community within Mountbatten Grange. Within hours of introduction, I was greeted by name every time I visited, always offered a coffee and always time for a chat. Everyone was so keen to understand Betty's background and history it was so refreshing.
Being able to relax and know that our loved one was in the best possible hands 24/7 made a huge impact on all of us involved. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Mountbatten Grange to everyone and was tempted to book in myself.
Reply from Claire Usher, Reviews Team at Mountbatten GrangeThank you for sharing such kind feedback.
