My 99 year old mother-in-law arrived in Lennox House last November and has received excellent care from all the wonderful staff. She was at first a little apprehensive about leaving her home, where she had been living alone, in a small village in Wiltshire. Since her arrival at Lennox House she has
been able to relax and enjoy all the benefits that the care home provides, as well as being closer to her family in London.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I visited Ivy Grove to check it out before the possibility of my aunt going there for respite. As soon as I walked through the door, I knew it was the right place for my aunt. All the staff were friendly, and the residents, and I was shown the rooms and facilities, and was very impressed, and decided
that this is the place for my aunt. In the respite period, my aunt settled in really well. She enjoys the activities and chatting to the other residents and the staff, and was very happy, so much so that she is going to be a permanent resident, which makes me and the rest of her family very happy too, knowing she is being well looked after and safe.
Reply from April Jones, Reviews Team at Ivy GroveThank you Carol so much for your kind words. We are delighted that you felt Ivy Grove was right for your aunt from the very first moment. It’s wonderful to hear how well she settled during her respite stay and that she’s enjoying the activities and social life here. We are honoured to welcome her as a permanent resident and are so glad we can provide you and your family with peace of mind. Warm Regards Ivy Grove Team

Highbury New Park

from Peter B (Husband of Resident) published on 17 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife was admitted to Highbury New Park Care Home with progressively deteriorating dementia some 18 months ago, and this has since deteriorated further. All the staff have been really kind to both my wife and me, and I feel many of them have developed a real affection for my wife, getting to know
her likes, and how to comunicate with her. I also notice how kind the staff are to other residents, spending additional time with anyone who might be having a difficult day. From the beggining I have been particularly impressed by the good relations that exist between all the members of staff at all levels with a happy working environment. My wife is now receiving much better care than I could provide when she lived at home, leaving me able to have a more relaxed and loving relationship with her. Her room is clean and light, with appropriate measures to mange her risk of falling out of bed, and the walls are decorated with her own pictures. I feel my wife could not be in a better place.

My friend has lived at Ivy Grove for 5 months. Staff have very supportive, welcoming and worked hard to help her feel "at home". It was lovely that she was able to bring her own furniture, pictures & keepsakes to personalize her room. There is an impressive range of activities available to take part
in at Ivy Grove (at least 2 per day). My friend particularly enjoys the keep fit classes, Toddler music group, Bingo & live entertainment. A very high level of personalized care is given at Ivy Grove and the quality, and attention to detail of the staff and management is outstanding. Ivy Grove staff also contact me regularly to update me on her wellbeing & appointments. I love that I can make hot drinks at any time, stay for the occasional meal (which is always tasty) and that I am made to feel very welcome. I also like having the small lounge available to use when I visit for longer.
I have no regrets about choosing Ivy Grove for my friend, and highly recommend it.
Reply from April Jones, Reviews Team at Ivy GroveThank you so much for your wonderful review and for your kind words regarding Ivy Grove. We are thrilled to hear that your friend has settled in so well over the past five months. We truly believe that being able to bring personal furniture and keepsakes is vital in making a room feel like home, and it’s lovely to know this made a difference for her. It is also fantastic to hear how much she enjoys our activities. We strive to provide a high level of personalised care and transparent communication, so I’m glad you feel well-informed and supported as a friend. Our open door approach, from the guest meals to the use of our small lounge, is designed to make visitors feel just as much a part of the Ivy Grove family as our residents. Thank you once again.

Warm Regards

So we were moving our mum to Franklin house due to her last care home not being very good. From the moment we walked into Franklin house we were made to fill so welcome. Tracy went above and beyond for us and Mathew and Christina were also fantastic. Unfortunately our mum passed away before we could
move her all the staff were so kind and caring I would 100% recommend Franklin house to anyone who is looking to put a loved one into a care home. This is not an easy decision but Franklin house made it so much easier

The initial three-week respite period and the short tenure as a permanent resident, made a huge difference in her mental stimulation, ensuring her days were full of professional care, compassion by the very attentive care workers and stimulating activities to participate in, coupled with comprehensive
nursing as required.
In every conversation and discussion, the family have had since mother's passing we have been full of praise of the positive experience that mother had at Foxbridge House Care Home was a huge relief for the family to know that she was in a very safe and secure care environment.
Since her passing, our family has consistently praised the positive experience at Foxbridge House Care Home. We are immensely thankful to the management and staff for their care and would confidently recommend Foxbridge House Care Home to other families seeking compassionate, professional support with total peace of mind that their loved ones are having the best possible available care.

Mum wasn't sure about moving into a care home, even though she needed 24/7 care. After just one week there, she said she wished she had agreed sooner.

Mum's one wish was simply to have a proper shower. At home, her house had slowly turned into a prison for her. When that wish finally came true, the

smile on her face - you would have thought she'd won the lottery.

The care home feels like one big family, where everyone is welcome. The carers, nursing staff, and management are unbelievable and truly go above and beyond, not just for the residents but for their families too.

Sherwood Grange

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My mother had been a resident at Sherwood Grange since February 2023, following decline in her mobility and cognitive abilities. The home was well maintained, comfortable and warm, the staff always seemed to genuinely care for the residents, and great effort was made to ensure my mum was involved in
the activities and outings, even though she had lost her enthusiasm for life. They always attended to her medical needs, calling on the local GP or district nurse where necessary. In the last few weeks, when she declined, I was kept informed of her condition and they checked on her regularly and always had her welfare and comfort at the forefront of her care. I have only dropped a star as many of the clothes that we had taken in, disappeared over the course of her stay. This was reported to various staff members and I know it happens at other care homes.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Sherwood GrangeWe are pleased to hear that you found the home to be well maintained, comfortable and warm.
Your very kind words about our staff are greatly appreciated by the team as they continue to work extremely hard to provide the best quality care to all.

We are very sorry to hear of your concerns regarding your mother's clothing going missing.
We understand how frustrating it can be when items go missing and we are continuously reviewing our laundry and labelling processes to ensure that residents' personal items can be tracked more effectively. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention.

Please be assured that the Home Manager is always glad to address the matter of your mother's clothing directly.
Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback regarding Sherwood Grange. Your input is invaluable to us and helps us continue to improve the care and comfort we provide for all residents.

We are extremely happy with care that my mum receives from the care home , the staff are all very supportive, friendly, and professional. A variety of activities are daily organised which my mum enjoys engaging in ( and we are welcome to join in if visiting) . We are always informed of any doctor visits
and any treatment my mum requires. The food is off a good standard and variety offered. The staff went to great lengths on Christmas day to accommodate our relatives to have lunch with my mum (as myself and wife were away ) a table was especially laid for them and they experienced a fabulous lunch and valuable time with my mum . We are also invited on any Trips that are organised and again theses are run professionally and entertaining for the residents ( a great time is had by all)
My mum is always well presented and clean and her room is kept clean and tidy.
We are always kept up to date with any changes or needs my mum requires by the management team they are always available .

Since my mum has been at Charlotte House the staff have been so kind and supportive.
They have looked after her with such compassion and professionalism from day one, providing so many activities and events to make a difference to her comfort and wellbeing. They even painted her nails which was a nice
surprise!
They keep me informed every step of the way throughout her declining health which has given me such peace of mind.
I feel completely reassured knowing that my mum is in the right place, receiving the right level of care and support she needs. I am so grateful for everything they do.
