Mum has been at Amberley since 2021, and is very happy there. It honestly feels like home to her and the attention she receives is both personal and stimulating. Over the years, mum and her immediate family have come to enjoy their time at Amberley. I can't praise the staff enough - kind, patient and
enthusiastic. Mum is always busy with celebrations, parties, cinema, knitting and lots of other fun activities. Anne & Sam, the activities coordinators, bring such an enhancement to mum's day, and having begun the experience during Covid times without this, we are now so grateful. Mum is kept active, stimulated and supported and they work around her energy levels which vary from day-to-day.
Mum recently celebrated her 79th birthday and they put on a little party for us, including a tasty lunch and a splendid cake (beautiful and tasty). Thanks to the wonderful chef - nothing was too much bother. Mum was made to feel very special and a number of the carers popped in to wish her well.

My father came to Sundridge Court a year ago following 4 months in hospital after a stroke. He was very unsettled and anxious when he arrived and his prognosis was not good. The care he has received in the last year has been amazing and he now refers to Sundridge Court as 'home'. Although he is now
bed-bound, he seems happy and settled. He says the staff are friendly, albeit very busy, meaning he has occasionally had to wait for personal care a little longer than seems ideal. I feel that his condition has been managed extremely well overall.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Sundridge CourtThank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding Sundridge Court. We are so pleased to hear that you feel the care your father has received has been amazing and that your father now refers to Sundridge Court as "home". The team hold themselves to a very high standard and this will be greatly appreciated by them as they continue their hard work. We are however sorry to hear that your father has at times had to wait for assistance with personal care. Due to the nature home and the level of dependency, sometimes staff can be assisting other residents, causing some delay. Please be assured that moving forward the team will ensure they increase their communication and reduce delays where practically possible. If you would like to further discuss this, the Home Manager would be happy to do so. Thank you again for your feedback as this enables us to make improvements where required.

The Staff are friendly and welcoming to visitors with a relaxed approach when we visit
The Catering staff do their best to accommodate residents preferences on most occasions and encourage visitors to participate on occasions at mealtimes.
The smaller home makes it more family oriented but with fewer
residents the choice is self limiting.
More use could be made of the garden with proper maintenance and upgrading and tidying after foxes
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Sundridge CourtThank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding Sundridge Court.
We are very pleased to hear that you find the staff to be friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They hold themselves to a very high standard and this will be greatly appreciated by them as they continue their hard work. We are also pleased to hear that you find the home to be family oriented.
We are sorry to hear of your concerns regarding the garden. Upon review, we are aware that gardeners attend the home once a month to manage the garden area, and within the last year there was a delivery of new garden furniture. Contractors also attended to relay the pavement that surrounds the garden to ensure safety for our residents and relatives when they are using the garden area. The Home Manager would be happy to discuss your concerns further and gather your thoughts on improvements that can be made.
Thank you again for your feedback. This is imperative to us to enable us to take action where required.

My mother spent the last 11 months of her life at Elizabeth Lodge after 5 years with Alzheimer's. Originally placed by local authority in a sub standard care home, I could not have wished for a better outcome for my mum's move and end of life care she received at Elizabeth Lodge. From my research and
experience of care homes in the area you will not find a better home dedicated to Dementia care and all the skill required in delivering good quality care in a professional manner and most importantly with the upmost dignity. If any problems or issues did occur, nurses and carers were always there to listen, help and wherever possible learn from. A real asset to this care home. Also this care home does not rely on any agency staff. A very important point for the consistency of quality care.
A huge thank you to all the staff and management at Elizabeth Lodge. I miss visiting you all!

I moved into Belmont House a month ago because I had a severe infection accompanied by other health issues. I had no experience of care homes. The first few days are a bit of a blur as they managed to get my infection and side effects under control. I am happy here as I recover. I feel the staff are

Our 87 year old Mum was admitted to Franklin House after being discharged from hospital following a life threatening illness. It is difficult to express how impressed we are with Mum's care which has resulted in the dramatic improvement she has made in her six weeks with Matthew and the team. We have
our old mum back and are so grateful. The staff are tremendous, nothing is too much trouble. Her room is a good size and always spotless as is the rest of the home. There is always plenty going on to keep the residents entertained; for example yesterday, as it was such a gorgeous spring day, as we were leaving they were all off into the gardens for a sing song!
Thank you to Matthew, Cristina, Tracey and the whole team, you are super stars!

Our dear mum passed away in February after 4.5 years under the dedicated care of Charlotte House. The entire care team from nurses, care support, activity coordinators, reception, office admin and management were wonderful. They clearly built up a bond with our mum and it was obvious mum did as well,
vice versa. In the tougher times during Covid and various outbreaks they remained vigilant and caring. It has been so nice that the normal programme of activities is back in full swing. I sometimes attended the music themed events with mum, which were always so well organised. The VE Day tea party in the car park was great with the staff dressed in 1940s costumes. I'll never forget when Elvis came to Charlotte House - fabulous fun! Mum enjoyed these types of events and was apparently very good at crafting. They were supportive, friendly, approachable and caring throughout Mum's time there, right up to the very end. Thank you Charlotte House team - you are awesome. XxxxX

Farm Lane hosted my mum while I went on respite. She was well looked after and I felt she was safe there while I was taking a little break.
Her room was spacious and the common areas were welcoming. The only improvement I would suggest is to include additional activities during the day as residents
are often sitting , sleeping or walking around and could benefit from more hands on activities (similar to what they would do in a day centre) to keep them stimulated.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Farm LaneThank you for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback regarding Farm Lane. We are so pleased to read that you feel mum was well looked after, that she was safe and that her room was spacious and the common areas were welcoming. We hold ourselves to high standards at Care UK and we are pleased to see this was reflected in your experience.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the activities within the home. I would like to advise that there is an activities plan in place, which includes a mix of group activities and 121 sessions. These include things such as arts and crafts, magic table, quizzes, music, movie afternoons, bingo, baking with the Chef, out in the garden, outings, gentle exercises, wine and cheese afternoon, namaste care, group discussions and chats, and tea parties. Our activities plan is reviewed regularly and adapted based on residents’ interests and preferences.
Please be assured that residents are offered choice and are encouraged to attend activities, however, they do sometimes decline to attend, and this is fully respected.
That being said, there is always room for improvement and feedback from families and residents are very important to us and help shape the activities we provide so please be assured that we will be reflecting on your feedback.
