Unfortunately I had to put my uncle into a nursing home and viewed Belmont House, Kelly met us showed us around she could not have been more helpful and after a stressful assessment he agreed to become a Client and moved in December 2025. He has loved it ever since. We have found all the staff friendly,
helpful and really caring towards Charlie. The food is excellent and we have eaten twice with him

I would recommend Foxbridge House without hesitation. What fantastic staff especially Ola, Naomi, Kimberley and Dorothy. They are the kindest people and have so much patience and care towards the residents, it is always the staff that make any place like this great ! A professional approach is adopted
from the onset and maintained at all times. The meals are good and the dining room welcoming.
The home is always tidy and the little extras they offer to guests make it a very welcoming place.
Well done Foxbridge !!

Tennyson Grange

from Andrew M (Son of Resident) published on 30 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum was taken to hospital on 1st January from her assisted living home after a fall.

The hospital said, because of her dementia, she would need 24/7 care.

I wasn't in the country and had to find somewhere. Tennyson grange is close to where I live in the U.K. so called them in a bit of a panic.

From the call being answered by Emma with her reassurance and then speaking to Harriet I felt calmer and felt a plan was now in place.

Francois was really helpful getting everything sorted and my mum move in on 16th Jan.

All the people who work there are so nice. They gave my mum time to settle in and now she participates (as best as she can) in lots of the activies that are done daily.

My mum has settled in better than I thought. We both love the coffee in the bistro area and she enjoys the food especially the deserts!!!

Galsworthy House Nursing Home

from Joanna R (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother joined Galsworthy Jan 25. Most of the regular staff definitely had the measure of her - not always the easiest guest! They treated her with dignity, kindness and patience, while respecting her quirks. All staff were very positive, encouraging and supportive.
Her medical needs were met and
feedback maintained. The carers always ensured she had her books during the day (her spectacles did go missing occasionally!) She was always warm, comfortable and well fed - particularly enjoying afternoon cakes. She chose not to partake in activities but there was always something on offer.
Sadly, my mother passed away Jan 26. It is with gratitude I can say that she died peacefully in Galsworthy and was looked after with exceptional compassion and genuine care by the staff, who really helped me and my family members to cope with the whole experience.
We feel fortunate that we selected Galsworthy as it provided a final year for her which was very much as she would have wanted. Thankyou.
Reply from Rhiannon Freeman-Gray, Divisional Marketing Manager at Galsworthy House Nursing HomeWe are so sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to be able to support your mother and we're pleased to hear you found the team positive, encouraging and supportive. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Franklin House for the care they took of my lovely mum in the time she was with them. Everyone there from the managers to the nurses, carers, support and admin staff treated her and my family with respect and kindness and we will always be grateful. The
home and my mum's room was always clean and well presented. I always felt included and well informed about everything to do with mum's care both in medical and general wellbeing terms and I know they did their utmost to keep her safe and well and loved right up till she sadly passed away earleir this year. I cannot thank them enough on behalf of myself and my family for helping to make what was at times a difficult time much easier to manage. Their professionalism and humanity was impressive to see particularly as they often have to work under sometimes very difficult conditions. Thank you again Franklin House. We were lucky to find you... xxx

Smyth Lodge

from Rachel L (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has been at Smyth Lodge since Nov 2025 and from day 1 or even before she started, I've been made to feel part of a very big friendly and well cared for family. My first encounter was with Rebecca who is exceptionally suited to her role and aswell as being super professional, she genuinely cares
for all the residents and their relatives. Julie (dementia lead) met mum with Rebecca at home prior to starting and she asked all her questions in such a kind, caring and respectful manner - making mum the centre of her questions. That sums them up - the residents are at the center of the care provided, their needs are met & above & beyond too. The ethos is that if a resident is exhibiting a certain behaviour, then their current needs are not being met and they will endeavour to find out what they need. They hold many events which relatives can join with and today I attended a dementia information session which was really useful. It's nice to meet other carers and share experiences
Reply from Rebecca Marchant, Reviews Team at Smyth LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It means a great deal to our whole team.

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife has Alzheimer's Disease, and came to Amberley Lodge for almost a month while I recovered from an operation. From my first visit, when researching somewhere for my wife to go, I was impressed by the bright, airy and friendly atmosphere. There always seemed to be plenty of staff around, and visiting
is welcomed at any time.
I was apprehensive how my wife would cope - being "catapulted" into strange surroundings - but to my surprise, delight, and relief, she settled amazingly quickly and happily in her new environment.
I will have confidence bringing her here again.

I would definitely recommend Foxbridge House for anyone sourcing care. The home is beautifully kept, safe and made very comfortable for the residents including a lovely garden. The care is exceptional and all the staff are always smiling and helpful. There are many activities for the residents, an excellent
hairdresser and access to other facilities as required
The Team also provide valuable information on dementia to relatives which I found really useful. They also actively helped with obtaining funding when my Mums conditions worsened
I looked at a lot of homes when my Mum needed care and Foxbridge was my first choice. I can't really fault it and would definitely recommend it

Belmont House Nursing Home

I booked for 2 weeks of respite care prior to major surgery where the outcome was uncertain & might have required a fair amount of care afterwards. A family member had previously had respite care here & was very impressed which is why I chose it over other options. Booking in was easy with phone calls
from managers & nursing staff to ensure my needs could be met. I was then contacted again post surgery so they could establish the outcome of my op and confirm when I would be discharged into their care.
I felt so welcomed when I arrived and the rooms themselves are en-suites, are smart and well looked after and feel like a hotel room. The biggest praise for my stay really goes to everyone who works here and I mean everyone. They are all so lovely & could not do enough for you, carers, nurses, housekeeping, kitchen cooks. They really are exceptional and are so kind and patient with their more elderly residents. I would absolutely recommend Belmont house for long or short term care.

From the moment my Uncle was admitted into the care home he was treated wonderfully by every member of staff and told us he was being very well cared for. When we visited we were greeted warmly by all the staff and the home seemed a very caring and friendly environment. The service has been second to
none and I couldn't recommend Smyth Lodge any higher. Thank you for treating him so well.

From the time my aunt and uncle moved in they felt at home - their room is beautifully decorated and with ample place for clothes etc. Staff are absolutely wonderful and always cheerful and helpful. Lots of opportunity for mixing ie painting etc. Lots of entertainment too! I am so relieved that when
I leave to go home I know they will be okay. Everyone seems happy to be here and when I have to leave to go home I know they are in good hands.

From first arrival we were impressed by so many of the things at Foxbridge. A warm welcome from many of the staff was the perfect start to my mother's short respite stay, an experience which continued throughout her stay. Rooms were spotless, food was varied and nutritious and there always seemed to
be carer on hand when needed. The management team were also very much in evidence and led us through the on-boarding process in an unhurried and professional manner. All in all and very pleasant experience and just what the whole family needed to recharge batteries.

I have had a wonderful experience with the number of staff at Whitby Dene. I found them to be helpful to me as well as my friend, who is a resident. The staff have all been caring, respectful and willing to do their very best to provide for the medical needs of all the patients and many times under
difficult circumstances.
