St Vincent's House

from S C (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 November 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum has been a resident at St Vincent's since April this year. It was a difficult and confusing time for her, but the staff at St V's were so kind and caring, helping her to settle in and slowly encouraging her to participate in the many activities proposed. We now see many smiling photos of her,
which we know are not posed or forced.
The staff alert the family very quickly about anything out of the ordinary, which is much appreciated and we get regular opportunities to discuss any aspects of her care. As I don't live in the country, it's reassuring to know that I can call for an update if I need it.
When I (or family and friends) visit, we have appreciated the warm welcome from all the staff. The premises are well maintained and clean, clothes regularly laundered, and the garden is a real bonus when the weather is nice. We have also been able to share in mealtime and the menu seems varied and of decent quality.
It's very reassuring for us to know that our mum is in good hands!

St Vincent's House

from Julie B (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff at St Vincents for the exceptional care and support they provide to my mum. The compassion, patience, and professionalism shown by every member of the team has made a tremendous difference - not only to my Mum's wellbeing, but also to my
peace of mind. It's incredibly reassuring to know she is in such capable and caring hands.
The dementia-focused activities and therapeutic approach have had a noticeable impact. Despite communication difficulties, I've seen Mum more engaged, calmer, and even joyful during my visits.
The way the staff foster a sense of familiarity, routine, and dignity is truly commendable. I picked up some colleague nomination cards but found it impossible to choose - there are simply too many people to thank, and I didn't want to leave anyone out! Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved in her care. Your work is invaluable, and I'm so grateful for the difference you make every day.

Amberley Lodge

from Krystyna T (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother arrived at Amberley in February 2025 - very confused, not sleeping or eating properly and in need of specialist dementia care. We were very surprised how quickly she became contented, gaining weight, sleeping, having been welcomed and inducted into the home by the manager and very caring staff.
Her biggest risk was falling and that has been well managed but she did fall recently and required two weeks in hospital with fractured ribs and consequential breathing issues. In hospital she needed constant supervision as she became very confused and was at risk of further falls. The home assessed the risk of returning to Amberley and waited to see how she adapted before determining whether to implement one to one care. This has not been necessary as she has adapted easily and is contented again. The staff clearly enjoy having her and adapt sensibly so that she has as much independence as is possible given the risks knowing that she retains a strong will to be self reliant.

Lennox House

from Andreas L (Son of Resident) published on 29 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by very friendly receptionists and this kindness extends to every staff member, who is thoughtful, professional and a joy to meet.
My mother and I were originally shown around by Surbhi, Customer Relations Manager, as we were interested in respite
for my father. It was clear that, as well as all the the usual reasons why someone might be great at their job, she also cared about the families and understood the emotions they must go through when seeking a care home for loved ones. This thoughtfulness I found common place at Lennox House.
My father was there for respite, but in this short time I could see how well organised and run it is. I met several residents and their families, all of whom were happy; they spoke about the various activities, how they enjoy the large garden, the good general care, the mental and physical stimulation that we all need at any age.
Well done.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Sherwood Grange is a very pleasant care home with nice rooms, dining area and communal room.
The food is excellent.
There are also quite a few activities for the people cared for including a cinema room trips out and live music.
My father had advanced dementia and the best thing about Sherwood Grange
were the staff.
You hear many horror stories about how staff treat people in care homes but the staff at Sherwood Grande were wonderful.
They truly had a great connection with my father and I noticed the same with other people.
I must also thank the supervisors in charge of my father's floor, they were very professional but also very kind and caring and seamed genuinely pleased when my father was doing well.
All in all I cannot recommend Sherwood Grange enough.

My Mum has been receiving very good care at Franklin House. The care home management and staff are very engaged with the residents and helpful with care needs. Mum is happy with the care she is receiving and loves her chats with the carers. The food is really good and she is settled and her health has
stabilised. I would recommend this Nursing Home

Started as a 3 week respite stay and ended up being 4 months. Despite change, my husband was well cared for and definitely well fed. Lots of activities included for residents. Staff caring and attentive to his needs.

My mum has been at St Vincents for 7 months now and I am very happy with the care that she has received. She is treated with kindness and respect and her individual needs are taken into consideration. There is a fantastic, varied activities program which keeps her busy and any special requests eg for
food are always acted upon. All the staff are caring and approachable which contributes to the sense of community within the home.

I so happy with the care that my uncle Cliff has received since he has been with you.
He has enjoyed singing and even a trip down to the river coffee shop and he even told me he fed the birds.
He really enjoyed the day the Owl's came to visit and he could stroke them.
He also enjoys his favourite
fish and chips on a friday.
St Vincent's nursing home has excellent staff whom are kind and friendly.
Thank you all so much for your hard work.

My Dad was taken to the Woodlands hall care home after a long stay in hospital which left him in quite bad health physically and mentally.
The team at Woodlands have been great very professional and reassuring to us all.
Since having good care, food and interaction with staff he has become stronger, happier
and as healthy as he can be with his condition.
Thanks very much to all the staff for your hard work and dedication.

My Mum has lived at Foxbridge House for 3 years now and has always been very happy. Everyone who works there, whatever their role is welcoming and friendly.
I feel confident that staff really know my mum and that she is well cared for and treated with respect and kindness. I visit very regularly and
we often spend time together in the garden or in the cafe.
There are frequent events that friends and relatives are invited to attend and there is always a great sense of community.
Whenever I have emailed the Manager or Deputy Manager I have always had a prompt response and any queries have been quickly and efficiently answered. I highly recommend Foxbridge House to anyone looking for respite or permanent care for themselves or a loved one.

Foxbridge is an excellent care home providing good quality rooms in a calm and supportive atmosphere. The catering is remarkable and something other care home should strive for. The home also offers good facilities but most importantly a warm welcome to everyone that visits.

Foxbridge care home is a lovely home with beautiful gardens, cinema and great cafe to take the residents to meet their families and friends. The staff are very friendly and caring and take an interest in each individual resident. My husband settled into Foxbridge within a few days and told me he was
staying in a hotel. Each residents bedrooms have en suite facilities and all have very comfortable furnishings. I also like to bring our dog Holly in to see my husband and she is allowed in the residents' rooms and she brings joy to all the people on our visits. I would describe Foxbridge just like a beautiful hotel with very caring and experienced staff
