From our first enquiry through to admission we received such wonderful, supportive and helpful advice. The home is spotlessly clean and a credit to the cleaning staff. All staff are extremely friendly, down to earth and full of care, compassion, empathy and smiles! Food is wonderful and there is always
plenty of hot and cold drinks available. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Mere to anyone thinking of care homes for themselves or others. Superb care home and professionally run.

My parents recently stayed for 2 weeks respite at Driffield Manor. The staff were so friendly and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble. My parents were made to really feel at home.
Everything at the Manor was immaculately clean and they had a lovely room. There was an excellent choice of food
everyday with as much or as little as they wanted. The attention and care my parents received was excellent and it was just such a relief to the family to know that they were being so well looked after.

My mum has recently had a respite stay at Driffield Manor. I couldn't be more grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by all the staff. My mum has been a resident here since June 2025 and we couldn't have chosen a better home. The staff are extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble. They treat my mum with huge respect and always have time to chat with her. The home is beautifully decorated and is like a top-class hotel and residents'
rooms are tastefully decorated and coordinated. The hairdresser's and cinema within the home are a wonderful addition to have. The home is kept spotlessly clean and maintained. The chefs do a wonderful job, providing a varied menu and catering for my mum who is a vegetarian. Finally, I have to mention the fantastic activities on offer, from gardening, flower arranging and bowling to trips out and guest singers, there is something for everyone.

My mother needed 24 hour care, so I turned up at Mere Hall with no appointment to look around. The staff were very friendly and immediately showed me round answering all my questions. Just under three days later, my mother was taken there by ambulance straight from hospital. She has a lovely room, her
own patio area, and quickly made friends. She joins in all the activities and just loves the food. The staff are wonderful and very friendly too. An outstanding 5 star home with exceptional quality of care. Thank you Mere Hall.

My care was excellent and reassuring getting me through the early weeks of my hip replacement, when I was nervous. All the staff were lovely helpful and friendly including the kitchen staff who provided some good meals. My room was nice although I didn't get on very well with the profile bed which I
had asked for, maybe I didn't get on with it because I had to sleep on my back which I am not used to doing.Thebother residents were friendly and I enjoyed their company. We also had good entertainment , Australia Day , Burns Night etc.I also enjoyed the singer the week after that, some did some didn't, but you will never please everyone.
I would like to thank everyone at Driffield Manor for looking after me so well and for making my stay so enjoyable.

Dad decided he wanted to go into respite while I was away in Australia and after they had cared for my mum with dementia previously. He knew a few members of staff from the past and he was well looked after during his stay of 4 weeks. The staff were great and he enjoyed the company of other residents
as he lives alone. The facilities are the best in the area, warm, clean and well maintained. He enjoyed the food and getting involved in the regular activities that the staff put in. He has even picked a room for when/if he decides to become a permanent resident. Thankyou to all the staff in the Haven for making his stay so enjoyable at Xmas/new year

The staff at the carehome were second to none. My Auntie/godmother was moved here following a short stay in a different local carehome where she received some of the worst care you could imagine. The staff at The Manor helped make her last days comfortable and showed her so much care and compassion
I will always be greatful. The location of the home means it is easy to access and always easy to park plus if a resident is well enough to take short walks they have quick and easy access into the town centre.
I do have a few relatives who have wanted to come for short stays of one or two weeks andI think it is a shame that your policy does not permit this as Im sure if someone stayed with you short-term they would not want to leave.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Driffield ManorFirstly, please may we start by offering our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss during this difficult time. It is incredibly kind of you to take the time to let us know how your Auntie enjoyed precious time with the team at Driffield Manor. I know I can say that each of the team will be uplifted by your words and will be delighted to know that their care has been so well received and appreciated. For most it is a vocation and continually delivered with care and empathy for residents and their families with a shared goal of wanting to make their time with us the very best it can be.

We are also pleased to know your thoughts as a visitor on the location of the home, and that you also saw the benefits of opportunities for residents able to take short walks and where aided to even enjoy the town centre with their loved ones.
Your feedback regarding short stays has been noted. Whilst we currently do not offer short term stays it is invaluable to have insight as to how this may be of value to families and it is wonderful to hear that this is your viewpoint following your loved ones stay.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review, and for sharing your Aunties experience of our care from you and your family’s point of view. Very best wishes to you and your family.

Today was a big day for my 91 year old mum moving into care after living alone for more than 30 years. She was both excited and nervous but is now settled in and happy. The experience for my wife and I has been outstanding; the staff, without exeption, have been superb. Every one has gone out of their
way to welcome Mum and make her feel at home in her new home. What an outstanding experience. Thank you all!

We will endeavour to ensure your experience of care here at Tranby Park is as glowing as your first impression. Many thanks from the Tranby Park Team.
