I have been utterly impressed with Magdalen Park from the day my mama arrived in April 2025. The outstanding care given to Mama is second to none. I could not have wished for a more attentive, loving and caring team. Their dedication to Magdalen residents leaves me feeling confident each day when leaving
Mama in their most trusted care. With Stage four cancer, I know her specialist requirements are met with understanding each and every day and night. As Mama is now confined to her bed, the staff ensure she is well taken care of physically and mentally, including her in their wonderful array of activities and events. I highly recommend Magdalen Park to those with elderly relatives hoping to find a "home from home" atmosphere for their loved ones.

From the moment that you walk in you are greeted with warmth and professionalism when I popped in to enquire about respite for my wife Helen. Nell is amazing and full of knowledge as she showed me around your beautiful care home.
She booked us in for an assessment with Hannah which was carried out
with exceptional detail, empathy and was very personalised.
I have just picked Helen up today ( Wednesday 29th October) and I have never seen her looking so well and refreshed after a week away. To know and appreciate that she is in such good capable hands as allowed me to recharge my batteries which was much needed.

To each and everyone of you that make up this amazing team thank you very much for everything because it really matters.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year

Mum had a two week respite visit this month. She was well cared for while she was there. Dad was made most welcome when he visited. The home appears to be well staffed, there always being at least one staff member in the lounge, at least in the Haven.
Her room was lovely, nice quality furniture
and fittings.
She had to have a needs assessment by a social worker while she was there. Tracey (manager) and Mandy ( senior carer) sat in on the meeting and were very supportive, as they were over everything concerning Mum's stay.

The manager runs a very well effective care home. All the staff are very supportive and I would highly recommend Parklands to anyone needing extra care
My only criticism is the shower room dont work very well. A shower caddy to hold shampoo and gel would be helpful.

This is the second time my Mam has stayed for temporary respite care. All I can say is that it has been a fantastic experience for her, and indeed for me too. The care is second to none and all of the staff have a can do disposition and are focused on giving the residents the best possible experience.
The food is fantastic too. Even in the short time my Mam was at the home she has flourished, making friends with the other residents. I would highly recommend it.

Although Mum sadly spent only two nights in Driffield Manor, the care and respect shown before, during and afterwards was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to help us at a difficult time. This home is exceptional, I would recommend for anyone to view if looking for a place for your loved one, the staff here are professional, compassionate, caring, patient and very welcoming not only to my Mum but to us as a family. My Mum settled in straight away and made many new friends, nothing has
been too much trouble for the staff to make her happy. She loved them all. Mum always enjoyed the food, and they make it available that you can join them for a meal should you wish. Westfield is warm, clean and homely, they have lots of activities and entertainment going on all the time which family are encouraged to join in.

I have found Driffield Manor to be very welcoming both for residents and their families. The care is exceptional and residents are treated with respect and kindness. The activities on offer are fantastic from manicures to trips out on the minibus, from in-house games and the cinema to singers and
bingo nights, the list is endless! The food served is of restaurant standard and is well varied. The home has been very tastefully decorated and once you step through the front doors you enter what resembles a 5* hotel with a lovely relaxed, tranquil atmosphere. There isn't anything I could criticize about Driffield Manor and feel very lucky to have found such a fabulous home for my mum, who is undoubtedly cared for and respected by every member of staff. Fantastic work Driffield Manor!

Parklands has proved to be a haven. Mum has dementia and has tried a number of residential respite settings but never settled. Many had the feel and appearance of a hospital ward which mum found especially hard. She describes Parklands as an hotel which, in fairness, reflects the warm and inviting environment.
Parklands seems to manage to balance their responsibilities to protect and keep residents safe with the ability for mum to investigate new areas and activities which has increased her mobility by comparison to her home environment. The staff (led by experienced managers) are warm and friendly and, more importantly, competent in administering a very demanding and complex schedule of medications. We now have the confidence that mum has the care she requires and deserves. With a chiropodist and hairdresser available our hectic home schedule has been eased and we can now plan (with confidence) for the day when she needs full residential care at Parklands knowing she'll get the best.

I had time to look around to choose my room. I was able to change rooms, the room was more convenient for me on the ground floor. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I would recommend Chapter House without hesitation. The garden and library were both lovely. It was ideal for me after two weeks of respite
care after my stay in hospital.

My sister is 94 years of age. Since losing her husband 23 years ago, she has lived on her own. She hadn't been feeding or taking her medication properly. She asked me to find a care home for her. Having visited Westfield Park to see a friend, I decided this was the place for her. She gets three square
meals a day and her medication at the right time of day. Loves her room and the staff, overall, she is very happy, safe and secure.

Although naturally it took mum some time to settle - she always speaks highly of the staff and her enviroment and says she knows she could not be in a better place.
All her medical needs are well observed - and if there is any concern I am always contacted.
The monitoring is exceptional - which on

The family know she is happy and content - and that's what we wanted to achieve.
