We always find Tranby Care Home a very satisfying experience. We find all the staff very accomodating and caring. They look after our friend with compassion and respect there are plenty of outside entertainments coming to the home and Jane & Dian are brilliant with everybody and their organising. It is difficult seeing our friend as he is but we know he is in the best place and with the best team. Thank you for all you do.

The home itself is spotless and comfortable, and activities are many and varied. I've seen Cindy smile, laugh and feel at ease here - moments that are priceless. Thank you.

I'm so happy with the care my Dad receives at Tranby Care Home. The staff are all so kind, caring and supportive, and it's such a comfort knowing he's being well looked after. We really appreciate everything they do for him.

the staff are very caring & there is no feeling of embarassment in needing help with personal care whether it is from male or female staff.

our family member has been living at the home a couple of months now. Overall there are some genuinely caring members of staff who treat her with respect, care + dignity. There are however some areas where we feel things could improve. Communication with relatives can be sometimes inconsistent + we would appreciate being kept more informed about her wellbeing overall our experience has had positives as well as areas we feel could be strengthened. overall my Granny appears happy + safe which is our main priority.

My dad was a very unwell gentleman and was receiving end-of-life care, requiring 24-hour support.

We visited the care home over the weekend, where we were met by some amazing staff who kindly showed us around and took the time to explain everything to us. The following day, they attended the hospital to complete the admission process, and by Tuesday, my dad was moved from hospital into the care home.

Sadly, my dad was only there for a couple of days before he passed away, but the care, kindness and compassion shown by the staff during such a difficult time meant so much to our family.

I genuinely cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for my dad and for supporting us as a family during his final days.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate environment for their loved one.

Secondly the home it's self is a place of calm and comfort, the meals are of a high standard as are the domestic team involving laundry and cleaninliness. Recently I have noticed a massive improvement on Activities and lifestyle options for the residents to take part in. It was good before but the last few months the lifestyle team have really upped their game! Fantastic! After a recent hospital stay my Dad couldnt wait to get back 'home' to magdalen and he was welcomed back with open arms, was lovely to see how the staff had missed him! Thankyou all! I would hesitate in recommending you to anyone needing care later in life.

The handyman painted Sue's room before she moved in and is happy to hang pictures or sort niggles. Laundry runs like clockwork, returned pressed and hung up the next day.

My wife has been at Magdalen 40 months during all this time the care + love the staff give to all the resident sis truly magnificent, indeed second to none, plus the support + help they provide for family members is invaluable. The building and all the facilities are outstanding.

A year ago, I would have awarded 4 stars, but since a change of ownership and leadership of the home, it seems that there has also been a change of philosophy of care, and my impression is that there is no longer the same motivation to try and manage people with cognitive impairment and complex needs. Despite having lived there for 2 and a half years, and despite any change in the difficulties that they present, my relative has been given notice of termination of contract; further, I was informed that they will be amongst a number who will be "moved on" in the near future. Before opting for a placement at Westfield park, it is worth considering whether complex needs may emerge during the course of the condition, and examining whether the management team will be committed to continuing to care for your loved one should this occur.

On arrival at Magdalen Park home it is very welcoming, lovely to see what the residents have been growing in their community garden. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and always smiling which is lovely to see. The care they gave my uncle is amazing and can see he is well cared for and his needs are always met. He is very happy and settled in the home with his home comforts and is treated with dignity and respect. The activities they provide for all the residents is truly amazing, they put a smile on the residents face daily and lovely to see on the social media. The home is very clean and well presented.

My mother was a resident in the home for four weeks before she moved to another care home because we did not feel that she was being cared for properly, mainly due to staffing shortages. The buzzer system was broken for much of her stay. The internet was down for some time which meant that the buzzers did not work then. We were told that hourly checks would be made, which, as mum was not mobile, would not be sufficient. The lack of staff meant that she would have to wait a long time for any assistance. There was a Norovirus outbreak. When she moved to the different care home, Magdalen did not send her 'just in case' medication and the new home had to ring and request them. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Toni is great and makes my dad smile every time she comes in to see him and it's nice to see him smile again. But all the staff are great and they are very professional and helpful with his care. His room is fine but it gets very hot in there sometimes it's a shame the windows don't open a bit wider.

She was on residential until dementia set in then moved to the dementia unit. The staff on the unit are absolutely brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. They are so caring and know each resident and their needs. I am so happy I found this marvellous place for my mums last few years and know she is so well cared for.

Access to the home for relatives is not difficult and the Wi-Fi network lets me email my mother with my visiting times.

The home also offers a varied range of activities, giving residents plenty of opportunities to remain active, engaged and involved. We are very grateful to the whole team for everything they do.

Just dropped mum off for her fourth respite here, and everyone is so pleased to see her and she them. She loves the food, (always good) and enjoys it there. It's a massive bonus for me that she can be safe and happy while I have a break as she lives with me. Thanks to staff at mere hall, and their caring staff - mr T you make her feel special!

All staff at Mere Hall have been so warm and welcoming. It really feels like a home from home. All of the activities are high quality and engaging. The variety of food is brilliant. There is always something to do or someone to talk to. Thank you to all of the team for making a really difficult transition the most dignified it could be.

We were put in a very difficult situation of Stuart having dementia & unable to live independantly even though he thought he could. Parklands fitted the bill. We had a look around first for resbite. Everyone was so welcoming we decided this was the right new home for Stuart. (July) had a few issues which were resolved professionally. Stuart treats this as his home now. Thank-you.

My Mum went to Mere Hall for some respite care and loved it so much, stayed an extra week. Everyone treated her with a caring friendly approach and took the time to chat with her. She particularly enjoyed the activities and entertainment.
