Care UK has a Group Review Score of 9.7 (9.735) out of 10.
The Group Review Score is calculated using the average from all locations with a Review Score, and in addition 75%+ of all locations belonging to Care UK must have a Review Score.
Main areas of concern while my mother was a resident were:
The majority of the care staff (especially at weekends) were young men from a different ethnic background to my mother; unfortunately, I expect this would have caused some additional stress for my mother. I think this should have been mentioned when viewing the home before my mother moved.
In addition, communication with local surgery and the district nurse was disappointing with several issues e.g. hearing aid, urinary infection medication, taking weeks, or never resolved
For someone relatively mobile without dementia I'm sure they would have a more positive experience.
This is why I have given mixed ratings, although I have no experience of other care homes to compare with.
