General satisfaction, Christmas just passed there was a general faint smell of urine. Fees always seem to increase by the maximum allowable, and the unforeseen caveat seems to have been used more than once in the past 3 years.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Maids Moreton HallI would like to thank you for your feedback regarding Maids Moreton Hall.

We are sorry to read of your concerns regarding the odour experienced during the Christmas period. The domestic team always strive to ensure the hygiene of the home meets the high standards we hold ourselves to and additional steps are taken to address situations when required. Please be assured that we have taken your feedback on board and this has since been reviewed with planned actions, as discussed with you.

Regarding the fees, I understand that the Home Manager has since discussed this in detail with you, however, if you would like to discuss this again, they would be happy to do so.
Thankyou once again for your feedback. It is invaluable to Care UK.

Have been visiting for over 2 months and feel a welcoming homely atmosphere. All staff Ive met in corridors give a cheerful greeting.
I like the daily activities sheet showing what activities and outings are planned.
My only advice observation is the lack of offers of afternoon cuppas which I know
would be adopted by the resident I visit. It concerns me that fluid intake could be inadequate and could result in urinal infections.
I could not comment on the value for money question as have no knowledge of fees but feel sure they should be sufficient to cover the cost of a smiling face. Greeting my friend with a cup of tea in their hand.

From the moment I walked into RM, I felt something special. It wasn't just the beautiful surroundings or warm décor, but a genuine sense of compassion that you notice immediately, even before anyone speaks
Estelle, made a lasting impression. Despite her busy role, she always takes time to listen and
make others feel valued. Her warmth, reassurance, and quiet strength reflect a rare and genuine kindness that comes naturally to her
Even in brief interactions, Gabby makes one feel safe and cared for. The patience, tenderness, and respect she shows residents are deeply moving and offer true reassurance that loved ones are in compassionate hands
Throughout the home every space is clean and welcoming, but it's the people who give it life. The connection between staff and residents, the gentle humour, and small acts of kindness are felt everywhere making time standstill
My visit left me grateful for people like Estelle, Haley, and Gaby and thankful places like RM exist for those we care about
Reply from Hayley Devereaux, Reviews Team at Ridley ManorHi Hira (solicitor Of Resident) Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and detailed reflection of your visit. It is incredibly rewarding to hear that the 'genuine sense of compassion' we strive for was felt from the moment you walked through our doors. We have shared your kind words with the team. Estelle was particularly moved by your comments on her "quiet strength." She truly believes that making someone feel valued is the most important part of her day, no matter how busy it gets.
Gabby was touched to hear that her tenderness and respect provided you with such reassurance. She takes great pride in ensuring every resident feels safe and truly cared for. Hayley also sends her thanks; your recognition of the "small acts of kindness" that give our home life means the world to her and the entire team. Cleanliness and decor are important, but as you beautifully noted, it is the connection and "gentle humour" between staff and residents that truly make Ridley Manor a home. Thank you again for your gratitude and for being such a thoughtful part of our community. We look forward to welcoming you back soon

We have had some experience of other care homes in the past but Maids Moreton Hall exceeds these by far.
The staff are always very helpful, caring and knowledgeable whenever we visit my mother-in-law.
There is a great varied range of activities on offer as well as trips out to cafes, coffee shops
etc which makes a nice treat each week.
The room is of a good size, is clean and well maintained.
Being located in the countryside, there is a lovely garden to enjoy in the warmer months and residents being able walk around it to enjoy the flowers etc.
The food on offer is of a very high standard with a great selection of choice each week.
The communication from the home regarding my mother's health, wellbeing and 'Resident of the day' is excellent as it is good to be kept up to date with what is going on with her.
We are really grateful to all the wonderful staff who combined, give us peace of mind that mum is in the best possible place where she is looked after 24hours a day. Thank you all.

My Aunt had a fall at home and was taken to hospital. We knew she couldn't return to her home. We decided on Ridley Manor for the following reasons; The staff including manager, nurses, care workers were friendly, caring with dignity those in a lot of need. The room we were shown was nicely furnished
with lovely bed linen. If there are any concerns I can always talk to anyone. It has a nice atmosphere, always something going on as well as quiet areas nicely set out.
Reply from Hayley Devereaux, Reviews Team at Ridley Manorthank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We understand that the transition from a hospital stay to a care home can be a difficult time for any family, and we are so glad that we could be there for you and your aunt during this journey and continue to be so.
Our team from our nurses, care workers, lifestyle, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, reception and management take pride in providing person-centred care that prioritises dignity and compassion for every resident. It is wonderful to hear that you felt the room was nicely furnished with lovely bed linen and that you've enjoyed the balanced atmosphere of the home, with it's mix of engaging activities and peaceful quiet areas.

We truly believe that communication is key, and we are always here whenever you have a concern or just want to chat. We will be sure to share your kind words with the entire team, as it means the world to them to know they have made a difference.

Thank you for your time, and we look forward to welcoming you soon.

My mum Jean has only been at Cathrine court care home for a short while after a traumatic stay in hospital for 7 weeks , it's not a easy decision to have to make putting mum in to permanent care it's tough, however we needn't have worried it's the best thing that we've had to do for mum and for us ,
the 24 hour care she receives is second to none the staff are so polite and helpful nothings to much. We see mum every day and we're kept up to date about all her care needs. ( BRILLIANT)

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
4 years ago, after much online research followed by visiting 3 different homes, we came away from our visit to Maids Moreton Hall (MMH)with a feeling that this one was right for my mother. It was the warm welcome, the friendliness of all the staff we saw, and the openness and sincerity that instilled
trust and reassurance when we left. Now, after 3.5 years of residency, which included both residential and reminiscence, our initial impressions have been more than justified and exceeded. There have been challenges and difficult decision but the caring staff in every role created such a homely atmosphere for the residents and the relatives. A family environment prevails and is nurtured, which makes the difference and is very comforting. Ensuring new staff "tune in" to these standards, maintain, and further improve them, could be challenging but essential if the caring family ethos is to continue. Having been closely involved in this "community" whilst sad at our own loss, we can honestly say that we made the right decision 4 years ago. MMH is different, unique, so thank you.
Reply from Andrea Bullen, Reviews Team at Maids Moreton HallThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review. We are truly touched by your words and honoured that you chose Maids Moreton Hall for your mother's care. It means a great deal to know that the warmth and trust you felt from your first visit continued through her time with us. Creating a caring, homely, family environment for both residents and relatives is at the heart of everything we do, and your recognition of our team across all roles means so much.
We also appreciate your thoughtful comments about maintaining those values as our team grows - this is something we are deeply committed to.
We are very sorry for your loss and grateful to have been part of your family's journey. Thank you again for your trust and support.

I visited 7 care homes before deciding on Ridley Manor and I am delighted with the decision I made.
It provides a warm, welcoming, environment. The staff are amazing. It is very well run and managed. Everyone I have been involved with is highly professional and very caring. Any health concerns relating
to my resident were always dealt with promptly and I was kept well-informed. The staff take great interest in getting to know all of their residents and everyone is treated with respect and dignity. The food always looks delicious and there are always several choices. Staff arrange for visiting professionals to carry out regular sight tests and dental checks which is very helpful. There is a full and varied timetable of activities for all residents which is updated every week. The building, furnishings, decoration and gardens are very well managed and well maintained.
Overall, it is an amazing care home run by amazing staff, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Reply from Hayley Devereaux, Reviews Team at Ridley ManorThank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. We are so happy to hear that you were delighted with the decision you made in choosing Ridley Manor, it gives us great pleasure when we get to read such wonderful comments about not only the home, but all that encompasses it. From the warm welcome, environment, team, management, professionalism and care. The residents are the most important thing to us with respect and dignity being top priority. This is their home and getting to know each and every single one of them as an individual is an honour for us. Food offering is extremely important especially when catering for many varied diets. Gabby our award winning clinical nurse manager, worked tirelessly sourcing external health professionals to visit the home, providing them with eyecare, audiology and a hygienist. The activities are tailored to the residents choice and we also incorporate 1:1 or smaller activities such as Namaste and Tools down for those who prefer this to larger group activities.
Your recommendation means the world to us and we can' t thank you enough.

We chose Ridley Manor for my mum after she could no longer be cared for at home due to her dementia and risk of falling after suffering a broken hip. She moved there in May 2025 and it was the best thing we could have done. The staff have been absolutely wonderful and I feel have really got to know
her, they always try to engage her in activities they know she'll enjoy and are so kind and patient with her. They have made sure she has the right medical care and always treat her with dignity and respect. Family and friends are always made to feel welcome when they visit and I appreciate that they are encouraged to get involved with events at Ridley Manor. The recent garden party was a joyful event.
Reply from Hayley Devereaux, Reviews Team at Ridley ManorThank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. At Ridley Manor it is extremely important for us to get to know each and everyone of the residents for the individual and unique person that they are, knowing the residents life story is a huge part of getting to know them so we can support them at whatever stage of their dementia journey they are on, by doing this it can also help us identify which activities they may enjoy or might even like to try. Dignity and respect is also very important to each and everyone of us by putting ourselves in the residents shoes allows us to ensure that this is always adhered to. My father moved to the residential unit of the home in September 2023 which enabled him to continue to enjoy a good quality of life still following his dementia diagnosis. He really enjoyed it there and always had a cheeky smile and a joke with the lovely care staff who catered to his needs very well.
Sadly his health deteriorated even more and he was moved onto the nursing unit in June 25 for his end of life care.
The amazing nurse's and care staff made sure that Dads end of life care was with the utmost compassion, care and dignity. I could not have asked for anymore and they also made sure Dads family were kept informed and well supported at such a difficult time.
I will never forget this wonderful team of people that looked after my Dad over the 2 Years he was there. Truly outstanding care

Your dad will be fondly remembered by us all, and we send you and your family our sincere condolences. Thank you once again for trusting us with his care.
With warm regards,
Andrea

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My gran has been under the care of Catherine Court for nearly two years now. As a family we are so thankful that we chose Catherine Court. It is clear this is a vocation for the staff, their kindness and efficient communication has put our family at ease, knowing she is in well-trained hands! The home
is well-equipped, it is clean and most importantly safe for my gran. It felt like a fortunate turn of events when my gran was moved to Catherine Court and as a care home, they continue to excel themselves!
