Dad has been a resident for more than 6 years now and has never been happier. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming and supportive. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work and effort that they put in. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they will always try to go above and beyond. It
would be very hard to pick out a particular moment or person to praise, as they are all so good. I am, however, very grateful for the opportunity being given to my dad to attend his grandson's wedding, which he is thrilled about.

The advice and support I have had from the staff at Ambleside has been amazing. They made the transition for my mum to becoming a resident much easier. I have lots of useful advice and regular updates as to how my mum is getting on with either chats or updates on the app.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They make a point of getting to know the residents and make them feel at home. There are lots of activities to participate in and social interactions and friendships are actively encouraged. Ambleside is clean, light and sunny, very well maintained with a lovely
garden and outdoor area. My mum is very happy and I am confident that she is being well cared for and given plenty of opportunities to enjoy life. The staff have been incredibly supportive of me as well as mum during the transition into her next chapter.

Priors House

I chose Priors for it's proximity to Hospital , for a 2 week stay after a hip replacement. I must say it was a brilliant decision.
I felt totally safe there, despite being suddenly pretty disabled; my needs were met by staff who saw and anticipated everything; both staff & residents made me feel welcome
& I was treated with care & respect.
Despite the hardship some residents were experiencing, there was a happy atmosphere & enough laid on to occupy us, or peace with anything you want done for you, if you prefer. A wide range of people & needs were catered for.
The location is lovely, with a nice garden, the premises too, & food & cleanliness were good.
2 weeks passed in a flash, hard, yet leaving some happy memories.
I would recommend Priors.

My mum is now a resident at Kenilworth Grange. I am very pleased with how mum is being cared for, observing on many occasions care and attention being given to mum and other residents, all with varying needs. One comment sticks in my mind recently, "low lovely the food is", mum had lost a lot of weight
before moving to KG, she is now a healthy weight that is being maintained with good nutritional and tasty food. KG has a great activity programme with regular outings to town weekly, also days out, the latest being a trip to Stratford on Avon. Mum loves to attend the hair salon at KG each week. The senior team always follow up on any queries or concerns we have as a family regarding mum's care. Mum is very happy at KG.

My mum has been in Gildawood for 7 weeks and my overall experience is good. The staff are very welcoming and helpful when we visit. It was a very hard decision about placing mum into a care home but the management and staff have been a great support. Mum is happier since she's been in Gildawood. She
looks well and has put on weight, her overall well being has improved. It would be nice if they spent some money on smartening the gardens up though.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Gildawood CourtThank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding Gildawood Court.
We are so pleased to read that you find the colleagues in the home to be welcoming, helpful and supportive. They hold themselves to a very high standard and they will greatly appreciate your feedback as they continue their hard work.
We are also very happy to read that your mum's overall well being has improved and that she is happier since moving into the home. We hope this continues to be the case.
We are very sorry to read of your concerns regarding the garden. Please be assured that the presentation of the garden has been identified by the team and there is an ongoing plan in place to address this.
If you would like to discuss this further, please be assured that the Home Manager would be happy to do so.

Priors House

My mum came to Priors House for the nursing care during her 8 month cancer treatment. The care and love she received was instrumental in her surviving her disease. I am eternally grateful for all the staff, everyone played a part in giving her the support and confidence she needed to fight cancer. I
know without it, the outcome would have been different. The facilities are first class but the atmosphere and the cultivated caring environment makes this care home special. The attention to detail as regards her health and medication was very impressive and it was literally like she had her own personal doctor 24h a day. The home has dedicated entertainment staff who encourage the residents to participate and give them a purpose. The Elephant Cafe is a lovely place for socialising and get togethers. To say I recommend the home is an understatement. It has literally been a lifesaver. Many thanks Iain
Reply from Staci Reeson, Reviews Team at Priors HouseIain, your mum is an inspiration to us all. I was going to give individuals a positive review but then I realised that I would have to include all staff. I cannot think of any one member of staff not worthy of a mention. Nothing is ever too much for any of them. The room was cleaned daily. I felt safe and secure during my 2-week respite stay.
My whole family visited one time or another and the home was a very pleasant surprise to all of them. Many thanks.

Very good care home! Extremely well managed by Manager/Assistant Manager, the general staff do an amazing job. The nursing staff are most efficient: the carers, who are the most important people as far as the residents are concerned, do a truly amazing job, and the cleaning staff not only do their work,
but regularly answer queries and give friendly, helpful advice. All in all, a care home where a 'good atmosphere' has been created!

My wife moved into KG under NHS care for 6 weeks and then a further 4 weeks self funding. Most of the staff were friendly and pleased to help her whilst the odd one or two were rude and unhelpful at times. Some staff would enter her room and not ask "do you want anything?", and some would not even say
"hello". Carers did not understand her illness and that she required time to answer questions and, in addition, was hard of hearing and had slurred speech - this required carers with patience, which was not always forthcoming. My wife had a catheter and frequently the night urine bag was left near her bed, or in the bathroom, until the afternoon. It was disappointing that some of the weekly activities did not take place. There seemed to be a shortage of staff, especially at weekends.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Kenilworth GrangeI would like to thank you for taking the time to provide a review of Kenilworth Grange.
Thank you for your kind words regarding some of our staff being friendly and pleased to help your wife. The team pride themselves on delivering compassionate and attentive care and this will mean a lot to them as they continue this work.
I am deeply saddened however, to read of your experience with one or two members of staff. At Care UK, we hold ourselves to high standards and I am sorry to read this was not your experience.
We would like to speak with you regarding your concerns and have the opportunity to investigate and take learnings where needed. Please can I ask you to contact the Compliments and Complaints Team by emailing them at complimentsandcomplaints@Careuk.com

We can not praise the staff at Ambleside too highly.
My sister after 25 years of living in France wanted to return to the UK. She was terminally ill and needed palliative care.
The moment we walked in we knew we had found the ideal home for her. She loved the room and having a garden to look at gave
her great joy.
The staff were so attentive and she was so happy for her last few weeks.
One of the highlights was the family Easter egg hunt watching her great nephews and nieces enjoy the garden.
I would recommend Ambleside to anyone. Thank you to the whole team.

My Dad was admitted to Priors House at short notice for nursing and palliative care. The team were so helpful on the phone and by email guiding us through the application. They quickly arranged a home visit for assessment which was caring and efficient. I went to visit before Dad was admitted and as
soon as I walked through the door I knew it was a caring, happy and professional place. The team couldn't have been more caring and professional after dad was admitted. They were superb and a credit to the nursing and caring professions. Thank you.

My dad is fairly new to his dementia journey and joined the residents of Arkall Manor last year. As a family we are comforted that he is well taken care of and supported through this journey. Plenty of activities to keep him stimulated, lovely caring staff and excellent food. The care home itself
is well planned out, spotless and provides everything you could think of. He is very happy here, even if he doesn't remember where he is a lot of the time. This home and the residents within have become an extension of our family and provides peace of mind that he is cared for and loved by so many.
