Cuttlebrook Hall

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I cannot find fault with Cuttlebrook Hall Care Home which is new, modern, purpose built and has ever amenity available to make it a comfortable and relaxing place for residents. The staff are most caring, considerate and helpful which included the restaurants where home cooked food is served, tasting
good and looking very tempting to the taste buds.
Activities are plentiful to keep residents active.

Highmarket House

from Christine D (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mother had a wonderful two week respite stay Feb/March 2025. It gave her a much needed boost and certainly helped the family have a break from caring duties. She loved her ground floor garden room. We were really pleased that she took the opportunity to participate in the different daily activities.
She still talks about them all and thoroughly enjoyed the cinema afternoons with drinks and snacks. Everyday she used the coffee shop area, chatting with residents, staff and guests. During her stay she had her hair and nails done, appreciating all the efforts from the staff. Meals were of a high standard, mum particularly liked the homemade soups and commented that the food was "5 star luxury".
Staff were always welcoming, helpful , attentive, offering useful advice. The duty care team did their utmost to give mum excellent care , for which we are very grateful.
A million thanks from all the family and highly recommend this care home to others.

Reception is very busy and welcoming to friends and family. Cafe is in great use by residents and visitors. Medication is given as and when necessary. I don't have to remember to take it! Room is very pleasant and comfortable. I chose to have one chair from my home. Food is excellent - as is the service.
Entertainment is good - take part or not as I wish.

Coming here after surgery has been the best decision I could have made. Staff are so helpful + kind, nothing is too much bother. The food is good with a varied menu. My room is excellent, so well laid out and all amenities to hand. Staff arrive when asked for with nothing being too much bother again.
I highly recommend Cuttlebrook Hall. If it were necessary I would come here to stay again.

My wife entered Seccombe Court 3O months ago, suffering from parkinsons and dementia and I visit on a very regular basis. I have found all of the staff to be both competent and friendly. They clearly from each resident's character and needs and provide excellent and sympathetic care and attention. This
demonstrates effective recruitment and training, creating a very cohesive organisation. Staff have been very helpful to me and my family, keeping us informed and providing support in dealing with the NHS. Facilities at Seccombe Court are excellent and regular and varied activities are provided for the residents.
I could not have wished for better care for my wife.

My mum came for a short stay at Charlton Lodge and liked it so much she didn't want to leave and has now become a permanent resident. The family are all so pleased as we get to spend quality time with her when we visit rather than spending our time arranging carers and doing household chores, shopping
etc.

My involvement with Highmarket House has been ongoing since 2019 when my mother was a resident. Nowadays it's to do with a past neighbour. We visited numerous care homes as a voluntary driver so feel confident in assessing Highmarket as one of the better homes. Staff are helpful and caring and management
are always ready to listen and advise if needed.

From the time my husband came into Highmarket he has been looked after very well. Just walking through the door, a happy greeting from all receptionists, the nurse on duty and all the carers, they seem to go that extra mile to make sure my husband is comfortable. The reason for the low mark on food,
he doesn't like some food, but they always give him another choice.

My mother has Alzheimer's and had been widowed for a year before moving Cuttlebrook Hall. It took some time for her to settle but with frequent visits from myself and my husband and great care and understanding from the staff she is now quite settled. She particularly enjoys all the lively music and
party events and has some happy days when she is more down the staff treat her with compassion.

The difference that moving into Charlton lodge has made to my brother exceeds all the family's expectations. He is happy, relaxed and calmer than he's been for a while. He is enjoying the activities and engaging with other residents and staff. And the staff are taking the time to get to know Peter so
they can work with him effectively. It's the best move he could have made.

During the 5 years Mum was a resident, every member of the team took time to know her so well. She was exceptionally well looked after, their love and care was outstanding,
From Management, Carers, Nurses, Housekeepers, Maintenance, Kitchen Staff, Reception and Admin, everyone was always so warm,
friendly, caring and kind.
A beautiful home with lovely gardens, like home from home.
We couldn't have wished for more comfort and support, particularly during challenging times, they followed our wishes exactly as we asked.
The team were like a family and we will be eternally grateful to them all.

By far one of the most welcome care homes I have ever walked into - the administer knew my friend like he was their family - so loving and warm. The atmosphere is amazing with all staff walking around with smiles on their faces eagerly awaiting to help anyone
My friend has done nothing but smile since
their arrival and it definitely makes the decision for their family a lot easier
Keep up the amazing work

Lovely care home, well run by management team. Carers are very kind and supportive, lifestyle team support residents to engage in a variety of activities should they wish to do so, and housekeeping team keep rooms and shared spaces immaculate. Every member of staff from reception onwards work hard to
care for residents, many of whom told us how much they enjoy living there. Would recommend to anyone needing respite or residential care.

Following visits over the years to relatives in care, dad was not keen to go into respite but he clearly couldn't stay at home due to the risk of falling. During our tour at Cuttlebrook, where everything is new and spotlessly clean, we were greeted with smiling faces, happy residents and to dad's surprise
- the on-site cinema and pub! He thoroughly enjoyed his time in respite, made friends with the staff and residents, loved the food and joined in the activities. We are considering the options for more permanent residency.

Aged 94 and living alone with family many miles away I had a bad fall (fractured pelvis) needing emergency hospital treatment to be followed by a period of recuperation. I was lucky to find Cuttlebrook Hall who provided me with a very high standard of general care and support with also medical support.
This was provided with a most friendly and personal staff. I am very happy to recommend their services.
