My dad has been a resident at Lauder Lodge for a year now and I have been really impressed with the level of care and support he receives. The staff are really fantastic and are always on hand to help!

When I entered the care home I was welcomed by the receptionist and the office staff very friendly feeling when I was in the corridors all the staff said hello or good morning l also was surprised of the size off rooms the residents have and able to get access to garden I do think it's a pleasant home for anyone to live in

Our relative Betty has been in Lauder Lodge for 8 years! She was one of the first residents in the new build them. She has dementia and we are amazing and very grateful for the many years of care she has had from all the dedicated staff there. She has lived an exceptionally long time with this condition due to that care and attention. We and the family (many are abroad) are immensely thankful for her wonderful care at Lauder Lodge. The cafe, to us, plays an important part in the life of Cairdean, being a central meeting place and a hub for entertainment and activities

We looked at several care homes for mum (now 98 and no longer able to live independently) in May 2026. Cairdean stood out for at least a couple of reasons. One was the extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff members we met from the outset. They made this big transition as smooth and straightforward as it could be, and I'm pleased to confirm that, over 2 months into mum's stay, she is being looked after extremely well. Other big factors in Cairdean's favour are its custom built facilities (lovely gardens with shady spots for sitting in, a spacious, bright cafe, cinema room and en suite toilet and wet room in every bedroom) and its layout. Unlike other homes we saw, it comprises self contained suites of ten bedrooms, each suite having its own lounge and dining area. So it feels a very manageable and homely environment for the residents and carers to live and work in.

My mother who has lived at Lauder Lodge for eight years is now in bed with dementia. She very much enjoyed the care home when she was up and about. Now when we visit she looks well and comfortable. The staff are very caring and attentive to her, noticing her reactions and changing things to suit her, to make sure she is as contented as can be expected. She still has sensory activities several times a week which she enjoys.

Our mother has been a resident at Murrayside Care Home for two years and we cannot recommend the Care Home highly enough.The staff are highly trained, friendly, kind and efficient taking care of all the resident's with empathy and understanding. There are many carefully planned activities to cover a whole range of interests as well as accommodating for each individual's needs. My mother and the whole family feel so "at home" at Murrayside. If you are considering a Care Home, Murrayside is from our experience simply the best!

I would recommend Murrayside because of the individuals who work to make it so special with genuine care and respect.

My mum has dementia and we organised a stay at Cairdean for two weeks respite. It is such a difficult thing to do but Leona and the staff made me feel like mum would be in safe hands and I had nothing to worry about. That was indeed the case and going forward I have absolutely no worries about booking her in to stay again. Everyone was so lovely and she really enjoyed the daily activities. Although she can't remember being there, whenever I remind her about it she has a happy feeling so I can't ask for more than that!

Overall Murrayside offers excellent care and has fantastic facilities.

My auntie loves Lauder Lodge and thoroughly enjoys her time there. You can see from their social media pages that all the residents are happy and engaged. I searched many care homes before choosing this one and I'm so glad I made the decision! Thanks everyone!

Mum has been a resident at Lauder Lodge for almost 2 years. In that time she has been treated with the utmost respect and care and mum would consider her carers as friends. The care home is maintained to a high standard with lovely adjoining gardens where activities are regularly arranged. mum is encouraged to keep mobile by taking part in keep fit sessions and to socialise with other residents in the various activities that take place. Staff exude an atmosphere of calmness and nothing is ever to much trouble.

As we found, after my sister suffered a stroke, choosing a care home is a challenging task, with many perspectives to be considered. For the loved one, there is apprehension about what lies ahead, given such a major change from living in their own home or moving from hospital. Among other things, they will be looking for a welcoming, homely, and friendly atmosphere as well as comfortable accommodation, food choices, and high levels of hygiene. After visits to several care homes, we found that Cairdean ticked all our boxes. Care is of a high standard, nursing and caring staff are capable and friendly, and the range of activities, which my sister can access, is impressive and fulfilling. The café is well stocked and spacious and welcoming for visitors, and the numerous open spaces, internal and external, give helpful variety. Our initial positive impression from the first point of contact with Leona, has been fully confirmed in the 3 years my sister has so far spent in Cairdean.

My Mum has been a resident at Lauder Lodge for over 12 months and we have experienced illnesses and increasing frailties. Throughout I have found Lauder Lodge facilities, care, food, activities, management and staff to be excellent. I want to thank Staff for their care, empathy and support.

Since my mother moved into Murrayside Care Home a couple of years ago she continues to enjoy her life. With plenty of activities and social opportunities she is kept busy. Her en-suite room is comfortable and should she need assistance, help is just a buzzer away. The staff are always friendly and helpful with medical help available 24 hours a day. Overall I would recommend the multi award winning Murrayside Care Home to anybody as a great place to care for the elderly.

I have seen a lot of care homes over the years assessing appropriate care for friends and feel this is the best i have seen. this entails on entering the home the atmosphere is pleasent, warm and nicely decorated which means a lot. on entering the scent in the home is pleasant. the receptionist have all been very helpful and making people relax and when show rounds are done they make you feel welcome. the cafe on the 2 flooor is always made available to friends ad family with great choice of food and drinks.

Great home to be in. Everyone is wonderful.
