A very well run care home with great staff. I can honestly say that during the time my parents were at Sandfields I had no worries that they were being properly looked after. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. My father was discharged from hospital on end of life care to the nursing suite at Sandfields Care Home in July 2026. He could not have been treated in a more dignified manner and we as a family were treated with utmost respect and compassion. My mother had only just moved into Sandfields when my father passed away so was dealing with losing her home as well as her husband. Again, all the staff at the home treated her with care and kindness. They looked at Mum's needs and encouraged her accordingly to join in with activities. She especially enjoyed meeting other residents and visitors in the beautifully presented bistro/coffee area.

We cannot recommend those involved highly enough.

I know my husband is in the best place for respite and he is safe and sound which makes life better for both of us.

Scarlett House's team has been fully supportive during the process of choosing, preparing and moving into respite with them for my mother. Always a difficult time, with complex decisions potentially being clouded by complex emotions, but their calm, caring, supportive and patient manner made the whole experience as easy as possible. Dave was available and responsive to all our questions and guided us through the paperwork and carefully explained the process. The nursing and care team have been nothing short of saintly, supporting my mum in difficult times and showing a care and compassion which allows us to be confident in the choice we have made. All the staff from the reception team to matron are excellent

My Mum needed an emergency 2 week stay following a hospital admission and discharge before returning home. The professionalism of all the staff I encountered during her stay is to be commended as well as the loving and genuine care and support she recieved while that The Hollies from all staff including the care and nursing team, well being coordinator and catering team.

Sue and I visited Janet yesterday and I wanted to thank all the staff at Scarlet House for looking after Mum so well. She looked beautiful; her hair was superbly coiffured, her lipstick and nails beautifully applied and her legs are looking the best for years. She seems very happy at Scarlet House and we love the care and attention that she is receiving. Please pass our thanks to all staff.

My interaction with the top staff has always been very friendly and helpful and can't fault them.

The home runs a lot of activities for the residents to help them participate each day and to interact with each other in the home.

From initial enquiry to dads admission has been flawless. The welcome and care dad has received has been outstanding. All the staff (too many to mention individually) have been nothing but professional, compassionate and caring. Dad is bedbound but this does not isolate him because they all interact and take activities to him. The whole team are always happy, smiling and calm, having time to stop, chat and answer any questions. All we wanted for dad was a safe, comfortable, happy and caring environment which is exactly what he has. Dad has settled well in a short space of time and as a family we are so grateful to the whole team for making this possible. Scarlet House has exceeded our expectations.

Staff do everything they can to help but can't always hear him if he needs to talk to us.

I recently had 3 weeks of respite care. The staff were excellent and very kind/respectful to me. Catering was of high quality. I was well looked after and highly recommend Scarlet House for nursing and respite care. Thanks to all the kind staff.

Sandfields have been absolutely fantastic at looking after my dad (who has advanced Parkinson's) The care has been both conscientious and full of compassion. My dad has thrived since moving here. Big shoutout to all the staff, from Tarisai, Vilma, Vivian and the whole team . The whole process has been great and couldn't ask for more!!

I would like to stress over all, every need was attended to and I was looked after with kindness and compassion. I would particularly like to thank David, Anu, Harmony and Chloe.

My mum has been at Mill House for 5 years, and she has always been very happy. The carers treat her with such dignity and they work so hard.

My mum has been in Mill House for nearly 5 years and I can say that I spend a lot of time there. The carers are amazing they treat my mum with such dignity and care and, if even when they are really busy they will help if they are able to when asked.

I came to Mill House to visit a friend. I didn't know what to expect so it was with some trepidation. I didn't need to have worried, the moment I walked in I felt the friendly, warm atmosphere. The decor was bright with lovely colour and materials. The love and commitment of all the staff was amazing. I left feeling happy and that I'd had a lovely visit.

Excellent care staff, reception and management. Really helpful and went the extra mile to help. During my visit. Really appreciate the electric van for transport of wheelchair. Hollies is always clean and tidy - lovely! Care staff really kind/nice/supportive to my mum.
