My uncle does not have relatives in the UK, and he has been a resident in this Kings Lodge Nursing home (Bosham) for several years. I was visiting from the USA and was finally able to meet his care staff in person. They were very professional and caring staff members. We have spoken by telephone, correspondence
and social media calls. They have been instrumental in providing good care for him and making us feel he is being taken care of in the absence of family. They keep us updated as to his health and provide pictures on the website of his activities. I wish I could name the person in charge. And the care team staff because they deserve to be recognised. Thank you for the peace of mind.

My husband was admitted for end-of-life care in April 2026 and died just over a month later. From pre-admission, all care and communication was professional, dignified, and caring. With very flexible visiting hours, my family and I were able to stagger our visits. The bright and airy lounge was perfect
with snacks and drinks always available.
Reply from Samantha Chandler, Reviews Team at Chichester GrangeThank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words. We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with your husband’s care during such an important and difficult time. It means a great deal to hear that you found our team professional, dignified and caring throughout your husband’s stay, and that communication from pre-admission onwards provided reassurance to you and your family. We understand how important it is for loved ones to spend precious time together, and we are pleased that our flexible visiting arrangements and comfortable lounge area helped support those visits. Your feedback will be shared with the entire team, who are dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care and support for residents and their families. On behalf of everyone at the home, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss, and thank you again for your thoughtful review.

My relative has been living at Chichester Grange since April 2026, and the care they receive is exceptional. The team truly understands dementia - not just clinically, but emotionally - and staff are consistently patient, respectful and skilled in supporting both the good days and the more challenging
ones. Communication with families is excellent. I am always kept informed, feel welcome when I visit, and know I can ask questions and receive honest, thoughtful responses. The app is also brilliant, giving daily updates that offer real peace of mind and provide lovely conversation starters. The activities programme is well designed and sensitively adapted for dementia. My relative particularly enjoys the music sessions, gentle exercise and walks in the gardens, all of which make a noticeable difference to their wellbeing. Chichester Grange is a warm, safe and well-run home. I'm very grateful for the care my relative receives and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Following extensive visits to various care homes in and around Chichester, selecting Kings Lodge for a week's respite for mum, sadly suffering from mixed dementia, was really quite simple. Such a move is understandably challenging with countless unknowns and worries, not least how would mum react to
her new environment! From initial contact to mum returning home, staff at Kings Lodge were outstanding. Management, reception and nursing personnel could not have been more helpful in understanding our initial concerns, frequently going above and beyond to make mum, (and me) feel totally at ease and relaxed. Facilities are excellent with nothing being left to chance. Mum commented on returning home on the friendliness of nursing staff, and in particular the tasty food.
I thoroughly endorse previous reports of excellence and unreservedly recommend kings Lodge. It is immaculate, professionally managed delivering quality nursing and care. Thank you everyone at kings Lodge.

The staff have been wonderful from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.
My mother was able to recuperate and recover swiftly from hip replacement surgery, as respite before returning home.
I was immediately at ease with the facility, friendliness of the staff, safe in the knowledge that
all would be taken care of.
Sincere thanks, premium service all the way, home from home.

My mother in law came to Darlington court after being in hospital for 3 months due to a fall in her home. All the staff and management team were very accommodating and made sure she had everything she needed to keep her comfortable and clean as she also suffered with vascular dementia. I cannot praise

My mother went into Martlet on Respite contract in Dec 25 straight from hospital - it was a very last minute had to do situation- The circumstances were more challenging for us as a family as my two brothers and I live in different parts of the world and we did not have time to visit any other homes
to draw comparison so it was a bit of have to wait and see how things go. Well we could not have asked for more and definitely struck lucky not only with the home having a lovely room available for mum but the staff also being exceptional- Rose Amy James Alex Seb Lorraine Liz have all been wonderful & removed any concerns or worry that we have had. The best thing though is mum who became a permanent resident in January is better in herself & extremely happy in living at MM which she describes being like a cruise ship . She is at the early stages of dementia & becoming more forgetful but knowing that she is in a safe place & being so well looked after gives us enormous peace of mind
Reply from Rose Grover, Reviews Team at Martlet ManorThank you for your thoughtful review. We are so pleased to hear that your mother has settled well at Martlet Manor and is happy in her new home.

The staff at Kings Lodge looked after our mother for the last six months of her life and she could not have been happier there. The care she received was professional, caring and respectful and could not be faulted. She loved the food and dining experience and especially the fun entertainment which
she actively looked forward to. Her room was kept spotless and her personal care was excellent and the staff were always on hand to help when needed. Dumitru was the most caring and professional healthcare nurse I have ever met and deserves a very special mention. We cannot praise him and his staff enough. The care she received at the end of life was what anyone would wish for their loved one, full of respect and dignity. Thank you all.

My mum moved into Chichester Grange in April to help with respite care during her recovery from surgery. She had been very unsettled but once in their care she has thrived. They have helped her to relax and settle into her new surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble. There are so many activities to
take part in or just to know that they exist there is no reason to be bored, lonely or sad. The nursing care she has received is second to none. Not only are the staff there for the residents they are a great emotional support for the extended family too. They always make us feel welcome and we are never made to feel intrusive or in the way. Thank you to the staff for all they do for these elderly residents. My mum is very happy at Chichester Grange and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for care for your loved ones.

We moved our dad to Chichester grange after another home in Chichester wasn't able to meet his nursing needs. It's the best decision we could have made. Whilst the facilities are beautiful, gardens immaculate and great food, the reason we love it is the team who work there. There are a few people in
particular who really really go the extra mile, and more, so a special shoutout to; Samantha, Marlene, Effie, Isreal, Thomas, Annesh, Nicky activities and Bethany who are all led by the wonderful Nicky (the boss)! The reason we moved to the Grange was Ali, she's the clinical lead and just amazing! She cares, she's knowledgable, she's friendly and approachable, and above all gives us as a family full confidence that dad is being looked after well. So Ali, thank you a million times!
If you are looking for a nursing home for a loved one, especially if they are very unwell, I would fully recommend Chichester Grange.

My mother has been a resident at Darlington Court for about 9 months and up to now I must say that I am absolutely delighted with the care she receives. All staff are extremely helpful, caring and I could not wish my mother to be anywhere else at this stage of her life. A big thank you also goes to
the activities team who are absolutely wonderful. Not forgetting the behind the scenes staff such as the laundry and housekeeping, and lastly but certainly not least, the kitchen staff who provide fantastic food every day, not only for residents but for special events. I would 100% recommend this care home to anyone looking for a suitable placement for their loved ones.

Darlington House is an excellent home.
My mother is well looked after and happy.
The staff are always approachable to sort out issues and problems that can arise.
She recently celebrated her 91st Birthday.
If she was not a resident of this home undoubtedly she would have not made it.
The everyday
care has been efficient and reliable. They helped organise her party celebrations which was a triumph.
I have know hesitation in recommending this home wholeheartedly.

From the start of the process to get my father-in-law into Ayton House, the team showed immense amounts of compassion (given the various other family medical emergencies ongoing), helping us get everything sorted. The process was incredibly smooth throughout and when he arrived it was as if he had been
a resident for weeks. Throughout his time at Ayton House, the family was incredibly impressed with how thoughtful the whole team was in ensuring he was looked after, and made part of the wider Ayton House family. The facilities at Ayton House are first class, the rooms are well appointed, a very high level of cleanliness throughout, communal areas spacious and homely. Overall the family felt very reassured that he was receiving the highest level of respite care and this took the weight off the family at a stressful time. I think some of the family want to book themselves in now too!
Reply from Caroline Thomas, Reviews Team at Ayton HouseThank you so much for your kind words—it truly means a great deal to the whole Ayton House team. We’re delighted your father-in-law felt settled so quickly and that we could support your family during such a difficult time. It’s wonderful to hear you were so reassured by his care—and we’d be more than happy to welcome the rest of the family anytime!
