For my husband, Bill. The care and support given to my husband is very good in what is a sensitive and upsetting time for our family. He is treated with respect and humour and this helps him and our family. He has been in care for 10 months and it has been as good as it can be. All the staff are remarkable.

Mum and dad are wonderfully cared for here at Salisbury Manor. It was a very difficult decision to move them both into care but Salisbury Manor was absolutely the right choice. Staff are wonderful and know us by name, are attentive to mum and dad and always willing to chat with or assist them. It is

Mum and Dad came to Ferfoot together sometime ago from Kent. I spent a while previously going to various places that would be able to meet their needs. Ferfoot was in my mind the most genuine, warm and welcoming. Sadly dad passed away last year and as he became more frail the staff were lovely, respectful
and kind. He felt very comfortable and cared for and loved the food especially the cake and puddings. There was always someone nearby keeping an eye on him and he didn't pass away alone. The care staff were very kind and understanding to mum supporting her through this process. In the last year they have been so patient with her as she has found life sometimes frustrating. They come across different and sometimes difficult situations but deal with it all with a smile, encouragement and professionalism. I have no doubt I chose the right place for my parents.
The senior staff are also very approachable, friendly and keep me up to date with any changes.
Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at FerfootWe are so sorry for your loss. We are glad we've been able to support your parents with their own needs, and to be able to keep them together during your dad's final months. We're be sure to pass on his compliments to the chef! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, and to share your experience of Ferfoot. Please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything more we can do to support your mum, or you.

My mum needed emergency care to provide rest bite for my dad. Once admitted it became clear that mum 's needs were much more serious than we had realised. With support and care from Ferfoot we have been able to understand mum's requirements and more able to make the decision for longer term care.

The

staff at Ferfoot have made us aware of mum's day to day needs and have allowed me to email, call and visit as often as I feel necessary to alleviate some of my worries. The manager has been very giving of her time and returned my many emails and calls to date.

I feel that mum is settling in well, and that we are adjusting as a family better than I'd hoped, this is in no small part due to the kindness of the staff at Ferfoot and how caring and compassionate they are.

Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at FerfootWe're so glad to hear that we've been able to support you and your family, as well as your mum, during this difficult time - if there is ever anything more we can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask. The management and staff are a great bunch. They are kind, caring and helpful, always ready to answer questions you have. They have enormous patience with the client, and Miranda House has a happy atmosphere. There is a weekly activity sheet which has something for everyone. Music is played in the garden
room for clients to sit and listen, and also watch the birds and an odd squirrel running around. I wish I had known about Miranda House when my husband first had to go into care.

Salisbury Manor

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our uncle stayed at Salisbury Manor for just over two weeks for end-of-life care, and we are so grateful for the care and kindness shown to both him and our family during a difficult time.

From the start, it was clear the staff cared about him as a person. They decorated his room with family photos

and favourite belongings so he felt at home when he arrived. The nurses and carers always spoke to him warmly and with respect, even when he could no longer respond, and went out of their way to keep him comfortable and well looked after. They asked us about his life and what he was like when he was younger, which meant a lot to us.

The staff were also very supportive of our family. No matter what time we visited, even late at night, we were always welcomed, offered drinks and checked on.

The home itself is lovely, calm and homely, and felt like the perfect place for our uncle. We will always be grateful for the care our uncle received and the support shown to our whole family.

Reply from Jennifer Ettimari, Reviews Team at Salisbury ManorHi Amy G thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful message. It truly means a great deal to me to read your words and to know that your uncle felt cared for, comfortable and at home during his time with us.
At Salisbury Manor Care Home - Care UK we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
We are really glad that being able to prepare his room with his photos and favourite belongings helped make the transition a little gentler. Taking the time to understand who he was 'his life, his memories and what mattered to him' was important to us, and it's very moving to hear how much that meant to you as a family.
Being there for families, at any hour, is something we genuinely care about, and I hope Salisbury Manor felt like a calm and safe place for you to be together during such an emotional time.
Thank you again for trusting us with your uncle's care. It was a privilege to support you all, and our heartfelt condolences remain with you and your family.

My cousin stayed in Ferfoot for several weeks on 'end of life' care. Very frail and suffering from dementia, he was vulnerable. Ferfoot staff treated him with respect, care and dignity, and although very confused, he was content and appreciative of all their efforts. He loved the food and ate well.

They are all cheerful and willing to help when I visit her each day and have made improvements to her care to make her more comfortable and minimise bed-sores.
