Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother spent her last few days at Primecare until she passed away. The palliative care that she was given was of the highest standard. The holistic support from every member of staff for my mum and the whole family has been outstanding. This included working with outside agencies. As a family we
were shown empathy, kindness and understanding throughout my mum's care from the very start to the very end. The manager and her staff have been truly amazing.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at PrimecareWe are honoured that we could support your mother and your family during such a difficult time. It's lovely to hear that the care, empathy and support from our team and the outside agencies we work with made a difference. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was resident at Harlow Hall from August to October 2025. The facilities are 5*. The staff were efficient and very experienced, the management team dealt with our concerns seriously, effectively with good communication, keeping us updated on my mother's health issues and general mental state.
Many of the staff were great fun and really tried to make her stay a 'home from home' experience, which isn't easy for a lady of 94 who had lived independently at her home for the past 46 years. The staff listened to our concerns and put various strategies in place to help her with the transition. My mother was very reticent to take part in the daily activities but they tried to encourage her to socialise in the afternoon, if she wouldn't they'd pop onto see her regularly. The food menu was varied and delicious with alternatives offered if she didn't like today's choices. To sum up; if I needed residential care I would book myself into Harlow Hall to be cared for by all the lovely staff!
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Harlow HallThank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear that you felt the facilities, communication, and care were of a high standard, and that our team helped make your mother's transition as comfortable as possible. Supporting someone who has lived independently for so many years is never easy, so it's lovely to know our efforts made a difference. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation - it means a lot to us.

My father has been staying here for a year. We chose the home because on 1st visit , we noted the environment was homely , staff were friendly and kind to the residents. We noted even the catering staff were . In the last 12 months , my father has been well cared for .
Today on one of our visits,
we were delightfully surprise , the manager even welcome the residents calling in at her office for a chat.
A number of the carers have been at Belford House for a long time so the residents get to know the carers and they value the continuity.
My father has a very nice room but he spends almost all his time in the residents lounge because he enjoys being with the other residents which I am very pleased to see.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Belford HouseThank you for sharing your experience. My uncle came to Hawkhurst House following a long stay in hospital. The care he received was wonderful. The staff including management team made all the family feel welcome. Unfortunately my uncle passed away in January. A short stay but a truly wonderful stay. The site is in lovely surroundings. The
rooms are spacious and a home from home feeling. The activities they put on for residents are just right with something for everyone. The home cooked food is brilliant. Would highly recommend this care home.
It is very clear to see that Chris the manager really cares for family's and residents. Thank you Hawkhurst house
Reply from Chris Walton-Turner, Manager at Hawkhurst HouseThank you so much for this very kind feedback. Our ethos here is very much about families treating Hawkhurst House as home - visiting at times which suit you and your loved one, joining in with activities and being part of the family so I am really happy to hear this was your experience. Once again, thank you for writing a review at a time when you are still grieving about the sad loss of your uncle.

Myself and my family are very impressed and pleased with the way our mother is being treated. She is looked after with a lot of care and affection and all her needs are being met by the carers and nurses. Our mother gets on well with all of the staff where she is shown love and respected. Our mother
enjoys all of the meals she is served and we have tasted some ourselves and can testify to this. The meals are all home cooked onsite. As a family, we feel totally supported by Jino and nothing is too much trouble. Also, the welcoming smile of Justine and her ever helpful suggestions, advice and support. Thank you to everyone. Rachel and family
Reply from Jino Joseph, New Resident Manager at Woodchurch HouseThank you so much, Rachel, for taking the time to share such a kind and thoughtful review.

I'm especially pleased to hear that you feel supported as a family - that is very important to us. I will also be sure to pass on your lovely words to Justine and the wider team, who will be delighted to know their care, warmth, and dedication have made such a positive impact.

Thank you again for your trust and kind appreciation. It is a privilege to support your mother and your family.

From the moment we walked into Delves Court last summer, we felt that this was a future home for Mom. The management were extremely warm, caring and welcoming, and the room available had a view over a magnificent garden. Upon moving in we found that all the staff were so helpful and made Mom as comfortable
as she could be after leaving her home of nearly 50 years. As with all organisations, a few really bright stars shone out but all staff and management go about their days with a smile on their faces and are a credit to any caring organisation. Keep up the excellent standard.

I would like to thank the staff for the kindness and care they showed my mother when she recently celebrated her 90th Birthday while living at Cotswold Rise.

well she was supported and how much care was taken to help her enjoy such an important occasion.

At a very difficult time for us as a family, when our Mum had to move into residential dementia care, the whole staff team, from the new resident manager (who is now the home manager) to the care staff and nurses, the admin staff and cleaners, all were so kind, helpful, and reassuring that we have never
had a moments doubt that our mother was in the right place. I have seen their calm, gentle and professional approach many times during my visits even when doing the most mundane and personal tasks such as personal care. Mum has now been at Woodchurch House for over 18 months and in that time the staff team has changed very little which is in itself a sign of good management and very reassuring for us and for her. We are always welcomed, whatever time of day we arrive to visit. Mum is eating and drinking much more now than she was when she was at home and looks clean and well cared for and has a loving relationship with the carers and nurses on the first floor. We couldn't ask for more.
Reply from Jino Joseph, New Resident Manager at Woodchurch HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to me and to the entire team at Woodchurch House.

We understand how difficult and emotional it can be when a loved one needs to move into residential dementia care, and it is incredibly reassuring for us to know that you have felt supported, welcomed, and confident that your mum is in the right place. Your recognition of the calm, gentle, and professional approach of our staff, even in the most personal aspects of care, is especially appreciated and will mean a lot to the team.

It is also very encouraging to hear that your mum is settled and has developed positive and trusting relationships with the carers and nurses on the first floor. Continuity of staff and strong relationships are things we value greatly, and I'm pleased this has been reassuring for you and beneficial for mum.
Thank you again on behalf of every one at Woodchurch House.

My Mother has lived at Hazeldene for the past 7 years, as she had Alzheimer's. During this time, we have always found the staff to be so caring, friendly & compassionate. It has been a pleasure to visit each week & to be part of this lovely home.
There are plenty of fun & interesting activities for
residents & the general feeling of the home is welcoming & cheerful. The nurses are very thorough & treated my Mother's Lymphoedema in her legs, until it was no longer a problem. We have always been kept informed of Mum's progress & the carers have got to know her well, so she felt secure & valued here.
If we had any problems, there was always a solution & things were looked into straight away.
Mum loved being part of the day to day life at Hazeldene & had company whenever she needed it, as well as the privacy of her own good sized room, with a lovely view over the fields, from her window. She really loved the gardens & woodland walks.
Mum passed away peacefully at Hazeldene in January.
