Mum got admitted into Springfield Park Care Home at very short notice. The family went and had a look round and it the family was very impressed. The manager came and done a home visit and said they could accommodate her needs and she was in the home within a few weeks lovely. Staff very polite and

A pleasure to visit my aunt. The staff are always obliging and friendly. We are able to sit in the lounge upstairs (if available) or in the dining room so as not to be in the way of others. The best thing to us is having a member of staff entertaining the residents all day. Brilliant, have visited many
homes but not seen that before. A big plus in my view.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
It was my mums first time at a care home having suffered a stroke, Harlow Hall is a friendly and welcoming place, it is like a Boutique Hotel .

The staff are amazing and quickly ascertained mum's quirky ways

There are plenty of Activities and entertainment such as cinema beauty salon, crafts

a sky bar ,garden room & tribute bands .

Sadly, my mum can't join in with some of these activities as she is bedridden and blind, but she can hear what's going on, which she really enjoys listening to

Aldergrove Manor Care Home

from Arthur B (Son of Resident) published on 1 April 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mom currently resides at Aldergrove Manor, I could not ask for better care. They have made her feel welcome from the moment she arrived as well as myself, having never had to deal with care homes before we were both very nervous. Our nerves were put at ease immediately by the Home Manager and Unit
Manager, they were friendly, kind and informative. This is then felt throughout the home, the staff are very friendly and caring, they show compassion and genuine care. The home is clean, well decorated and has a lot of space, there are a lot of rooms available for when more family visit as well as some quieter areas for more secluded visits. The home goes above and beyond to provide that extra bit of care, thank you for everything you do.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Aldergrove Manor Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted that your mom feels so welcome at Aldergrove Manor and that both of you felt supported from the very beginning. It's wonderful to hear that our team's care, compassion, and attention to detail have made a positive difference. Creating a warm, comfortable, and well-equipped environment for residents and their families is very important to us, and your feedback truly means a lot.

Hawkhurst House

from D C (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 April 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I can honestly say that Hawkhurst House has made such a positive difference to my 91 year old mother's life. She is incredibly happy there, having made new friends, joining in the many varied activities, and really enjoying both the food and the care she receives. She seems not only happier but also
much more confident.
The staff are friendly and consistently show genuine care and attention in everything they do. It's clear they truly care about the residents.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a TV, a comfortable sitting area, a kitchenette with a fridge (which is very useful), and an en-suite shower room. Mum's room also has patio doors that open onto the garden, which is absolutely lovely.
The management have an open-door policy and are always approachable, which gives great reassurance to families.
I'm so pleased we chose this care home for Mum-it has truly been the making of her..
Reply from Chris Walton-Turner, Manager at Hawkhurst HouseThank you so much for such lovely feedback. We are so pleased your mum has settled in and become a valued and active member of the Hawkhurst House family. We hope the weather begins to improve so she can actually open that patio door, use the garden and keep an eye on our guinea pigs, budgies and finches.

Tegfield House

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
A nice, well cared for home which my mother-in-law seems to feel at home in. The facilities are fine, and there are plenty of quality activities. Our dog is always made welcome. My only complaint is that only the staff can open any external doors, so we are left standing in the cold and rain until they
appear. On busy days this can be a good few minutes.

The Lodge

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum was in The Lodge nursing home for 5 weeks for end of life care. From the moment mum entered the home she was shown love, care and compassion, also ourselves from every member of staff, nothing was ever too much trouble and always done with a smile. The care was exceptional. Mum was shown the utmost
dignity from entering the home until leaving with the staff forming a guard of honour for her final journey.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at The LodgeThank you for sharing your experience. We are deeply touched by your kind words and feel honored to have been able to care for your mum during such an important time. Providing compassionate, dignified care is at the heart of everything we do, and it means so much to hear that this made a difference for both your mum and your family.

My Nan has been in Greenleigh since march 2024 just after my grandad passed away. The staff there are so caring and will always listen to Nan when she is telling them stories or looking back on memories. They communicate any concerns they have with myself or other family members and keep us updated
with how Nan is doing. They are always welcoming and answer any questions we have.

Hawkinge House

My sister has been a resident since December 2025 to present day.
I want to write and compliment the chef and catering department on the variety and good food. She loves fresh fruit salad and has a bowl daily.
She needs good nutrition to aid her condition and to see her excited to have her meals
and eat them with relish, just shows how good the food has been.
Thank you.
The only negative I have for this care home would be the administrative team that booked the ambulance for my sister, they made many errors, which caused lots of unnecessary stress for my sister and for our family.
Reply from Tara Peacock, Registered Manager LTC at Hawkinge HouseThank you for your lovely review regarding the catering department, I will ensure they receive this positive feedback.
In terms of the administrative team this is a different department to myself but I will pass on your feedback.

Bethel House

My husband was happy in Bethel. He hated the previous care home despite that being only 2 weeks respite while I was in hospital. Bethel is very homely. It is warm and all the staff, without exception, are kind, patient and caring with even the most difficult resident. He loved the activities particularly
anyone who was singing and would join in with gusto. The chefs provided lovely food everyday and on birthdays they made a cake with candles and everyone would sing to them. The staff also made visitors feel very welcome and there was always a cup of tea. I would be more than pleased to recommend Bethel and its very caring staff to anyone looking at care homes for a relative. Thank you
Reply from Abbey Doyle, Manager at Bethel HouseThank you so much for your kind words. It is lovely your husband felt happy and at home at Bethel house. Also that he enjoyed the activities-especially the singing which we will remember well. It's wonderful to know that you found our team caring and welcoming and that both residents and visitors felt comfortable within our home. Thank you from all of us at Bethel house.

Overall extremely happy. If we had to bring something to any of the staffs attention they promptly dealt with it. All of the staff looked happy in their work and showed compassion. The evening our mum passed away/early morning we were treated with compassion and kindness, all of the staff came to see
us today when we cleared mums room to give us their condolences.

My wife has been a resident at Primecare for a year now, and in that time she has settled very well. The staff are all very kind and considerate, this has allowed my wife to relax in what is a very calm, homely atmosphere. Her anxiety has eased and she is willing to participate in some of the many and
varied activities. Her room is always clean and tidy and is comfortable with the added bonus of the view onto the garden. The food is excellent with a varied menu (I was fortunate to enjoy Christmas dinner with her). My deepest thanks to everyone.
