Review of Mary Chapman Court from D G (Son of Resident) published on 21 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother spent the last two years of her life in Mary Chapman. my wife and I have always held Mary Chapman in high regard, never more so in my mother's final days. The staff are Brilliant, warm, caring and professional.
Days after she arrived we discussed her final days while my mother still could, and have input. it certainly eased the end, as everybody knew how to deal with the end. Every step of the way as her health failed we were kept informed.

We were warmly welcomed every time we walked in the door, we got to know the staff very well. Every day towards the end while we she could she thanked them for looking after her. Every day there is entertainment of some kind, be it in the lounge, days out, or in the enclosed gardens. This is my third and final review, from my first to last nothing has changed my original opinion Mary Chapman is an excellent care home, that enriches the lives of those that live there.

Review of Bentley Grange Care Home from P H (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 21 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
Bentley Grange is a lovely place to be for both residents and visitors. It is beautifully equipped and maintained and has a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Such thought has been put into the layout and facilities. We especially appreciated the freely available refreshments and comfortable relaxing lounge and terrace areas. The nursing staff were attentive, competant, respectful and caring. We found the management team supportive, friendly and approachable.

Thankyou for supporting my sister in law in the last two weeks of her life so well - and dealing with her every need.

Review of Rose Lodge Care Home from Angie T (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Overall, things have settled down well after the initial problems when the "needs improvement " status was published. The new staff recruited seem to be very good and settling in nicely. I appreciate that at times agency staff must be used, but generally notice a change in mams mood and behaviour when agency staff are in.
One issue which has been highlighted in the regular residents meetings, is the use of the lounge area for singers/entertainers. Management appreciate that it's not ideal but I'm not sure if they fully appreciate HOW difficult it is for residents and their families not being able to use their lounge if they don't want to listen. I would liken it to you sending a band to play in my living room and telling me if I don't like it, to go somewhere else. This disruption is not good for dementia sufferers who need routine and stability. Sending them to another lounge is not a suitable option.

Please, please find a solution to this problem soon

Reply from Louise English, Home Manager at Rose Lodge Care Home

Review of Belvoir Vale from David A (Son of Resident) published on 20 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father was very concerned at going into care in Feb 26. I am delighted to say he has settled really well. This is in great part due to the staff and management who seem to take great pride in their work. The manager is always available if I have any concerns regarding my fathers ongoing health. After looking after father myself for several years I feel now I can relax knowing Dad is in good and safe hands.

Review of Rose Lodge Care Home from K A (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

After going through an unsettled period, when the new manager was brought in, many care staff left the home, and the manager had to rely on a lot of agency staff. Since then, new staff have been appointed and training and procedures have been much improved. The home is now staffed by committed, loyal 'orginal' carers and newly appointed staff members who are settling in well. The manager is very approachable and encourages relatives to report any concerns they may have about the care their loved one receives, and then acts to address those concerns. My mam is happy and settled living in the home

The summer fair that Maggie (activities) and Lorraine resident organises is absolutely fantastic. The time and effort they put into it is astonishing. Dancers singers and all the different stalls is well thought out and the even seems to be getting more popular each year

Thank you for a wonderful day

Review of Creggan Bahn Court from Susan P (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father was a resident at Creggan Bahn from November 2023, when he moved in with mum. Following her death in February 2024, we watched as he carved out a life without her, supported all the way by the superb, utterly caring staff, he absolutely blossomed, enjoying trips out, the tri-shaw trips and was instrumental in the setting up of a pub quiz! Sadly, he passed away in February this year, but he had come to consider Creggan Bahn as home and the staff as his extended family and the love and care they showed to him, went above and beyond, that same love, care and support was also shown to me and my sister, during his illness and after he died. I cannot praise the ethos and standards of Creggan Bahn enough, and their staff are simply the best.

Reply from Samantha Baxter-Hendren, Home Manager at Creggan Bahn Court

Review of Kings Manor Care Home from Louise P (Sister of Resident) published on 17 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

After finding my sister who was happily watching tv in a lounge. I took her to her room which was clean and tidy. Chatted with nurse on her floor re my sister. Went to coffee area which has a lovely coffee machine and air conditioning. The receptionist asked if sister would like to help choose the new flower displays. Activities lady also spoke to us and joined in with the chat about the flowers.

Review of Cedar Court Care Home from K F (Son of Resident) published on 14 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I am so pleased with the way my father and stepmother are being cared for at Cedar Court. The staff are always cheerful, welcoming and helpful, my parents seem very at ease with them & are happy. The home is kept clean, fresh smelling at all times, although at times my parents room could be cleaner, but with two residents in the room all the time it is hard work I fully accept.

I am grateful that my parents are safe, happy & have all their medical needs attended to. The nursing team have been particularly supportive. I am always greeted warmly by the staff in reception, in the office and by Slav the manager. The rest too of all staff, Michael is amazing with his activities, even though my parents hardly attend.

Review of Parkview House Care Home from J A (Mother of Resident) published on 14 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I came to support my mum and the carehome as there was a summer event yesterday.
The organisation and hard work put in by the management team, the caterers, the carers, maintenance and the entertainment put on for the residents went over and above expectations.
Attention to details from providing amazing health and safety for everyone on the day , attentive staff ensuring everyone was looked after was amazing.

The choir entertainment brought back memories for my mum and my family that attended, the food and laughter made it feel like I was home with family. This was truly a team effort and I could tell this was not a staged event. It was genuine care at it's very best. Parkview Team take a bow. It was a day that great memories were created through all your individual efforts.

Review of Coplands Nursing Home from J A (Cousin of Resident) published on 13 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
Roy was very happy being looked after in your lovely home. He was a very private man and didn't have a lot to say, so didn't socialise a lot.
He was very happy with all the staff and loved a fuss. Ate well, but only what he liked.

I thank the staff for all their hard work.
