The Windmill Care Home is a very welcoming and friendly place to visit. I feel assured my friend Barry will be looked after by the professional and caring team I'm greeted by when I visit. They are alway keen keen to chat and ask for my opinion on the ongoing care of Barry. I can see that he is happy and well treated, which gives me piece of mind

Throughout this difficult period, many staff members stood out for their kindness, support and willingness to help. I cannot name them, but thank them wholeheartedly for all they did.

Our friend (Resident) seems well looked after our friend is a bit confused for some time now. His feet look much better. The staff are always friendly & we appreciate a cup of coffee/tea. Our friends room is much more peaceful now. For a long time there was other resident (probably only one) who made a lot of noise. We are happy that staff are approachable to talk to & try their best to help our friend.

Management and staff were wonderful. Mums final days were comfortable and Peaceful all you could ask for. Nothing was to much trouble. highly recomend.

Since arriving at The Wharf, my mother-in-law has settled in very well. She tells everyone she is loving her best life. I'm happy that she is happy.

I wanted to express how much we appreciate the continued care, kindness and support Coplands give to my father. It is incredibly reassuring to know that he is being looked after so well. Their patience, dedication and hard work really do make a difference and are very much appreciated. Babita and her team; the nurses, carers and the activity staff all do an amazing job.

My experience is as a visitor and very old friend of Andrew. Visiting twice a week most weeks for over two years. "tick" boxes say it all. This is the more commendable for its consistency over time. This speaks to me of the system, leadership and morale of the staff, in spite of all the continual challenges.

Came to see my grandad, he was telling me about all the activies hes done, and he was really happy - so nice to see, the staff are so lovely and welcoming everytime I visit, and all the residents seem to be happy too!! SJ sorted out my grandad's new chair and he was thrilled with it, Really homely enviroment

My husband spent the final few weeks of his life at the home as events turned out. He was treated with such kindness by all the staff, was able to enjoy activities and delicious meals. The high level of nursing care and visits from the g p ensured he was well cared for. The staff even supported me during the final week of his life. This is a very special place.

Our friend was moved in August to Willow Bank, N.H. Upon arrival we were made welcome by the receptionist and by all the staff. The home is well kept, clean, comfortable and well presented. The rooms are light and airy, decorated nicely with practical amenities. It is a smaller home with delightful grounds and enough parking. On the whole a very pleasing atmosphere and experience for both residents and visitors.

The staff were very professional and helpful. They kept me informed of any issues.

Father in law has been living at Kings Manor for a few months now, since then the staff have all been so welcoming to him and our family. They've spent time getting to know him and gone out of there way to help him adjust and settle in. It's a beautiful looking home with a lovely dining room and relaxing garden and lots of activities but the staff are what makes it really special.

I came to spend a week after a major operation and was made to feel very welcome. Staff introduced themselves and stated their position and job. They were very supportive at first, then cut back when they realised I could do some things for myself and wanted to. My week made a massive improvement in my mental and physical states and prepared me for home

Unfortunately today 8/9/26 was a day when the stars did not align. Fred has an appointment for an ECG at the local Drs. This was made at least 3 weeks ago for this morning because the bus was due for MOT no alternative transport had been considered. This is the 2nd cancellation for this appointment - not good organisation.

I feel the home has really gone down. There is a lot of agency staff who aren't experienced in my mum's needs. Good staff who I feel safe with handling my mum are leaving to go elsewhere which makes me very nervous. The food isn't great and my mum has just been having soup for dinner and tea. Care needs are brought up with the manager, but these aren't acted on and as a family member are made to feel a pain if we raise anything. Activities are inefficient for people that need one to one activities my mum is bored and depressed. No atmosphere in the home!!!!

My dad was under palliative care and Woodland Care Home offered us a place for the short time he had left. The two weeks were filled with kind staff, good food, dignified care and support for both my father and myself. It was a short time and a difficult period, but it was made easier by the care home staff.

Any problems have been satisfactorily resolved when reported. These have principally related to personal hygiene, which does need to be carefully monitored.

We cannot speak highly enough of the care our dad received during his time here. From the very beginning, we were struck by the high standard of care, kindness and compassion shown by every member of staff. Dad was always treated with dignity, patience and genuine affection. It was clear that the staff didn't simply see caring for him as a job - they took the time to know him as a person and made sure he was comfortable, safe and cared for with respect. As his needs increased, the level of care and compassion shown to him was exceptional. Knowing that he was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about him gave our family enormous reassurance, particularly towards the end of his life. The kindness shown to us as a family during that time also meant more than we can say. It takes very special people to do this work with such patience, warmth and humanity, and we could not have wished for him to have been in better hands. Our heartfelt thanks to the whole team for everything you did.

Food is incredible.
