Staff are always very helpfuland friendly and our mother is well attended by the staff.
She appears to be clean and well looked after, especially with hot drinks and biscuits!
Her room is always clean.
My only negative is the huge 12% rise in fees last month, to £6000 a month. I've spoken to the
Financial guy and he was very helpful.

Grandad now needs full time care. My family were informed of Kings Court Care Home and we didn't know what to expect. The moment I walked into the home, I was more than impressed. The home is beautifully clean, spacious, has good facilities, and I love the relaxed atmosphere. Most of all, the staff

Birch Heath Lodge

from Allan R (Son of Resident) published on 28 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother arrived at Birch Heath in 2017 following a serious operation that caused her dementia to worsen dramatically. Whilst the dementia did recover somewhat for a period of time, it then declined year on year. Her ability to get out of bed, never easy after the operation, was lost altogether nearly
3 years ago. At the start of October 2025 she entered "End of Life" before passing away peacefully on 9 October.
The management, the nurses, the carers and staff have all been loving and caring towards our mother, always helping and attending to her needs. The nursing care was exemplary, mum not even suffering one bedsore in the whole eight years. Many times on visiting mum I arrived to see a carer sitting with mum just chatting and making her day more interesting. Some of the carers formed strong friendships with mum, evident with her passing and the tears shed.
All I can say is a huge thank you to everyone at Birch Heath.

In August, Coplands Nursing Home took my Mum for 2 weeks respite care. This was to enable my wife and I to take a holiday abroad for the first time in 6 years. My Mum had never been in a care home and was very reluctant however, all the staff at Coplands were extremely lovely to my Mum. They made her
feel very welcome from the moment she arrived. They took care of her medical needs, she was comfortable, looked after extremely well and enjoyed her stay. We are hoping for the same again next year! My father has been at Knights Court for some time, and I can't be more grateful for the exceptional care he receives. The manager leads with real dedication, creation, a warm, supportive environment where residents feel truly valued. The staff are outstanding, kind and patient and attentive in every
way. It's clear they take pride in their work and treat residents with the utmost respect. Knowing my father is in such capable and compassionate hands gives me real peace of mind. Knights Court is a remarkable home, and I can't thank the whole team enough.

It was my mothers 100th birthday on 25th September and the staff were amazing. They decorated her room with banners, balloons and birthday cards, ensuring that the card from 'the King' was in a prominent position. They also bought a wonderful 100th birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her whilst
she blew out the candles! They made it a very special day for her by also ensuring she was dressed nicely and had her hair washed! A massive thank you to all of the staff involved and for providing such wonderful care to my mother for over 10 years!

Our mum was a resident at E.H for 7 years. It became her home + family. She was treated with kindness respect dignity compassion and love. From day one we were able to sleep at night with the knowledge she was in safe hands. All of the staff are just amazing always there ready to answer any questions
and gave us support. We would be notified with any concerns and updated. Mum could't had been in a better place. With heartfelt thanks, simply the best that what they are at E.H.

Hope Green Care Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My main priority is that my sister-in-law is settled, happy and being looked after and occupied fully in her daily life. I have no concerns at all in these connections as I have always found the staff to be completely attentive and professional. They have noted that she is a keen walker and loves her
music and have planned outings for her in these respects.

I do find however that her room looks "tired" and in need of renovation and decoration.I would be happier if she had a new, more modern , roomy bed. Her ensuite bathroom is very modern, and newly refurbished.

In conclusion, I am satisfied that the care home staff are doing a tremendous job. They are always on hand to address concerns. I was delighted to see my sister-in-law's in several pictures in their monthly newsletter, looking so happy and contented.

My mum has been a resident at Manorhey Care Centre since July. Mum is very well cared for, happy and settled. The staff are wonderful, they are very welcoming, kind and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are excellent. Her room is lovely and private. There are always lots of activities
for the residents to engage in. I would recommend Manorhey Care Centre to everyone.
