Anjulita Court

Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5
I have been visiting the care home for almost 3 years. The home has been inconsistent and makes false claims. No proper mental capacity check was done in my view, and the paperwork at the beginning was vague and shown that have poor awareness of LPA's, etc.
The care staff are great but the senior
management team are fake and thus a lack of trust has developed between us. Need to look closer at their overall behaviours. It seems over recent months that the age of facility is showing with visitors toilet out of order for at least 3 months.
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtThanks for your feedback. We're pleased you think our care staff are great. However, we're sad and disappointed that you haven't accepted the outcome of our formal investigation into your complaints and that your experience does not match that of your other family members, other residents and their relatives who have left positive reviews.

In response to your points:
- All documentation and checks were completed in line with our policies and procedures and these were described to you during the formal complaints investigation last year.
- You state the home makes false claims but without specific details, we cannot respond to this allegation further.
- We are proud of our senior management team whose members are highly qualified, dedicated care professionals with 100+ years of combined experience.
- One toilet is temporarily unavailable due to a lighting issue, not due to our facility's age. Alternative visitor toilets have always been accessible and are clearly signposted.

Westbury Grange

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our dad was sadly only here for a limited time for end of life care but Julie and her team were compassionate, gentle and so very caring to dad and our family from the week we chose Westbury Grange to the day he passed. Dad's needs were extremely complex, he required regular mouth care and repositioning
as well as hourly checks, as well as being PEG fed- none of this was a problem and the nursing team and Julie made us feel welcome and comfortable and made dad feel safe, nothing was ever too much of an ask. They all cared very deeply and we felt extremely relieved we had chosen Westbury Grange. Thank you for making dad so very comfortable- your kindness and compassion at such a difficult time for our family will never be forgotten. We would recommend Westbury Grange to anyone, they have the kindest hearts.
Reply from Julie Roche, Home Manager at Westbury GrangeThank you so much for providing us with such positive feedback, particularly as your dad was with us for such a short time. It really does mean a lot, and I will share your comments with the team.

I would highly recommend Amathea for the staff and the friendly and supportive environment it provides for its residents. I was fortunate to get a room there for my mother earlier this year when she really needed it. All the staff treated her with care and dignity. She was given a warm welcome, a lovely
room and made to feel part of the Amathea family during her stay. They helped and supported us both during difficult time until her death last month. Thank you to all the staff for all the work you do.

Willersley House has an excellent reputation in the area, and now I know why!
Every member of staff treats the residents with care and respect, and nothing is too much trouble - they are always on hand to help and support.
The home is extremely well managed, and on a number of occasions, the staff
have advised how they 'love working' there and love their job! This shows!
Thank you to every member of staff for making Dad's new home warm and welcoming - I couldn't ask for more.

Lauriston

from Keith W (Son of Resident) published on 16 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum spent the last two years of her life as a resident at Lauriston. Like most people, she would have preferred to have remained at home but that was not possible. Lauriston was so welcoming, they really got to know mum. She had lost a lot of weight and was quite frail following a stay in hospital. The
care she received soon had her on the mend. She put on weight and her mobility improved. She was encouraged to join in activities and be part of the community. She especially enjoying the regular visiting singers. Aside from the great atmosphere at Lauriston, it was the care, compassion and friendship she received from all the staff that made her stay there a happy one. In her last few months her needs increased and the care, compassion and nursing was second to none. When searching for a care home you can be taken in by glitz and glamour, however, if your loved one needs care and compassion, Lauriston is the place to choose. Fantastic caring staff who I can not praise or thank enough.
Reply from Dionne McEwan, Home Manager at LauristonThank you for this wonderful review, your mum was such an amazing lady and was a major part of Lauriston and our family here. It's so lovely to read that we have a great atmosphere and that we engage people in activities, and the amazing singers we have visiting. Also, it was so touching to read that the care, compassion, and nursing was second to none. We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best care we can. We were very touched at your comment that , Lauriston is the place to choose, it means so much and you as a family have been so supportive and your mum will be missed.

The management and staff at Anjulita Court are exceptional in the care shown to residents and their families. My mother was a resident for 5 years until her death in April 2026. At all times the staff were attentive to her needs and accommodating to us as visitors. Their caring and flexible attitude
helped make the experience as good as possible, especially in the more difficult days leading up to the end. Highly recommended!

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Overall l, to date, my experience of the care home and care package my Dad has received has been a good one.
The most important thing for me is the safety, comfort and wellbeing of Dad and as mentioned this has been very pleasing.
Dad is well looked after, the staff treat him with respect and dignity
and I have no concerns in relation to him being happy and loved.
The management and staff are always friendly, helpful and approachable. Whenever I've had a concern ive felt satisfied this will be addressed.
Dad is happy here and thats the main thing.
This is all a new experience for me but having the comfort in knowing Dad is safe, well and looked after eases any additional unnecessary worry that comes hand in hand with dementia.
I'd be happy to recommend this home to anyone else going through the same experience as me and dad.

Although situated in delightful grounds and despite being a beautiful old building, it is the staff who make Glen Rosa a proper 'home'.
Irrespective of their role and responsibilities, every member of staff is a testament to the true meaning of kindness and good care.

fearing the loss of my independence but the staff at Glen Rosa made me welcome and wanted.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to potential residents and/or their families.

Montpellier Manor

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My beloved Mum recently passed away after living and been cared for at Montpellier for just short of 8 years. Mum was one of the original residents at the home when it opened. As soon as we visited both she and us, her family knew it was the place for her. When mum moved in she was in the early stages
of Alzheimer's dementia. From day one Mum was treated with respect and dignity and her personal wishes to engage in activities or have quiet time in her room were adhered to. Mum made friends with with other residents and staff and was content in her "home from home"
Over the years staff have come and gone but I have always found that the care and assistance given to their residents has always been first class. As Mum's dementia progressed and her needs became greater, these were met by moving to the third floor. At every stage I felt consulted and informed. Mum's final years were content and safe and I cannot thank all at Montpellier enough. A first class care home for, your loved ones

Well I never write reviews - ever, but this service has knocked me enough to give one. My father went into the Lauriston for respite. He had dementia and we needed some support. The care was incredible. He passed last Thursday after a stroke, and it was the best place for him to be. So professional
and a lot of nurses on day and night. When he did pass one nurse came with another and prayed over him which was such a touching thing to do.
We were kept informed at all times when he was there and in his last hours, when we were at his bedside 24/7, the nurses ensured we were also ok and gave us food and drink.
Reply from Dionne McEwan, Home Manager at LauristonThank you so much for the beautiful review, I am so glad you experienced such kindness and compassion during this sad time and the loss of your father. We were so honoured to share these special last moments with you and your sister and your wonderful mum. We like to be a part of the extended family and support your Dad and all of you as a family, we are so pleased you witnessed this. Mum lived at Heather Grange, in the Garden Suite, for eighteen months up to 1 May when she passed away there, in her own room, aged 97.

Mum's move to Heather Grange made the final phase of her life more positive than I could have possibly imagined. She quickly settled in and made lots of friends

amongst both the residents and the staff. It was a joy to see her enthusiastically join in the many activities that are on offer.

The accommodations are first class and the care team first class plus. They are so positive and friendly, and the quality of leadership is very reassuring. I always left after a visit feeling very upbeat and positive.

After a short spell in hospital, mum returned to Heather Grange to end her days. The care and attention provided at the end of mum's life was exceptional. She couldn't have been anywhere better.

The resident Chaplain, Nat, rounded off this final phase of mum's life by presiding over the funeral, making it a very personal and special occasion.

Mum moved in to the Mill unit in 2021. While no-one would choose to be in a care home with dementia, we were very happy that she was safe. Activities mum enjoyed included music therapy, group music sessions, attending Christian services, playing bingo, having her hair done and time in the hydrotherapy
pool.
Staff always interacted well with mum, even when she was debating the need for her medication.
When it came to what turned out to be the last 2 weeks of mums life, staff were hugely helpful and supportive. My brother and I were able to stay on the unit for the last 5 days. As well as great care for mum, we also felt looked after, both physically and emotionally. Many staff and volunteers came to say goodbye to mum and share their memories with us. Staff were also in attendance at mum's funeral.
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtIt was an absolute privilege and honour to look after your mum.
