  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

Huge THANK YOU to all the staff for making Mom's 89th birthday special on 18th May.

Your care for Mom is superb. She is the happiest, most comfortable and content we have seen her in a very long time. In just 8 weeks with you at East Park Court, Mom's life, happiness and well-being have been completely

transformed. Despite having significant health issues, Mom is happy and thriving. I cannot thank the whole staff team enough (everyone in all roles) for making Mom smile again.

Mom's physical health is managed extremely well; she is very well cared for, comfortable and clean. Mom always looks her best, has her hair done and nails painted regularly, which all make her look and feel better in herself. Most importanly, Mom's social, emotional and mental health needs and well-being are met superbly. Staff keep Mom safe, safeguarding her effectively in line with her needs. She loves the activities. I have not seen her so happy and content in a long time. THANK YOU ALL.

Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at East Park Court Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing such moving feedback. We're delighted to hear how settled and happy your loved one feels at East Park Court, and that her birthday was so special. Knowing her comfort, dignity and wellbeing are supported, and that she enjoys the activities, means a great deal to the whole team.

Lime Tree Court Residential Care Home

from Carla L (Daughter of Resident) published on 8 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
As much as I try, I can't quite convey in words what Lime Tree Court has done for us as a family. Tyler and team have just been phenomenal from day one.
It was the hardest thing to have to put our mom into a home, but she needed 24:7 care. Yes the facilities are modern, clean and homely. But Lime
Tree is so much more.
In communications, the home mantra is Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind. We've found time and time again that this isn't lip service.
Tyler and Lauren have clear understanding of your loved one, despite being 'management' and always have an open door policy. We have been blessed with team leaders Stacey and Sarah who help us to advocate for our mom across all health services, and we can't thank them enough for their dedication, along with all their team members, and night team such as Mel and Rachel. They all take such great care of mom.
We simply can't fit it all into a 1000 character review! But we do know we'd be totally lost without them!
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Lime Tree Court Residential Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share such heartfelt feedback. We're truly honoured to be trusted with your loved one's care and to support your family during such an important transition. It means so much to know our values, relationships and commitment to family are felt every day.

Camilla House Care Home

from J R (Son of Resident) published on 8 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Thanks to your whole team for the kindness and care that you have shown to our mum, and to us, both during her time living at Camilla House, and during end of life care.
It was obvious to us during so many interactions, that for your staff, the wellbeing of your residents is more than just a job. They
clearly genuinely care for the residents, treat them with kindness, respect and humour, and we saw this both in the way your staff acted, when going about their everyday tasks, and in the stories and comments they shared with us about our mum.
What was also clear to us is that Camilla House is a genuine community. Just as the staff team has a positive impact on the lives of the residents, the residents also have a positive impact on the staff team and visitors.
Perhaps the greatest compliment that we can pay to Camilla House is that, now that mum is no longer with us, we will genuinely miss coming in to see how everyone in the community is getting on!
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Camilla House Care HomeThank you for sharing such moving feedback. It means so much to know our kindness, care and sense of community made a difference to your mum and to you as a family.

Kintyre House has been a Godsend. I don't have to worry about Mum as she is in the best place. She gets on with the carers and patients, and they get on with her. My mum seems happier in here than at home and I cannot thank the staff enough.

We contacted Sancturay Care in Wantage to see if they could accomodate my mum for two weeks respite care, this was at very short notice and all staff could not have been more helpful.
Professional courteous, staff at all times, the home felt 'homely' and my mum's care was excellent.
All staff were
helpful and happy, if required I would be more than happy for either of my parents to be a resident. Excellent service all round at all time.

Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home

My 106 year old mum was taken very ill in late December with an oral abscess and needed 24 hour care.
At very short notice the staff at Upton Dene made a room available for mum and I was able to take her in on Christmas Eve.
Mum had never previously experienced a care home but settled in immediately.
With
constant care, three meals a day, which she loved, and careful attention to her medicines mum made a strong recovery over the next two weeks.
She thought all the staff were very kind and without their diligence and support mum would not have been able to recover and ultimately go home to resume her independent life .
We, her family, are also very grateful for the love and attention that mum received and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Upton Dene to family and friends.
Many thanks

My husband went into Basingfield Court for a week's respite, when putting the wheels in motion I received every courtesy & help and being the first time of him being away I was reassured that he would be safe & well looked after which was confirmed after his week's stay. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at laurels nursing home for the care & compassion they have shown for our mum & to us in the 5 months she was a resident in their care. Our mum suffered from dementia & sometimes she wasn't an easy person to deal with but the staff dealt with it with
so much understanding, something we couldn't do at home. Thank you again

Penberthy Residential Care Home

The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are caring of every resident; knowing each individual and their specific needs.
The residents go on outings or have people/groups come in to sing, entertain and/or socialize. The staff also put on special events; for example, they had a birthday outing
for a particular resident at a special location and invited her work friends from 40 or 50 years ago as a special surprise. It was a joy for all involved!
Penberthy has a lovely private garden where the residents can relax in the sunshine and peaceful outdoors.
I enjoy volunteering at Penberthy where the residents are well cared for by the great staff in a comfortable, bright and clean environment.
