The Manor House Care Home

from Dorothy M (Wife of Resident) published on 6 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The Manor is a stately home! And everything is conducted in a like manner! The staff are kind, courteous and patient. Nothing is too much trouble. Their programme of activities is impressive. The food is excellent, every meal is a proper meal, not a light snack. The food is well-cooked and mostly homemade.
A real bonus. My husband was well cared for and kept safe at all times.

The Goldbridge Care Home

from Rita B (Resident) assisted by family/friend published on 6 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Care staff understanding, helpful and treated with dignity. Nursing staff excellent, well-versed in each individual's medical needs. Despite being consistently in demand and under pressure all staff work hard to meet residents' needs and wishes. Food good but with some strange combinations, attention
needed to food temperature when served. Activities staff provide reasonable range of activities. Thoughtful and mindful of individual's capabilities. A reasonably 'happy' comfortable environment where all members of staff work toward the benefit of the residents.

I would like to express my apologies for not attending the residents' and relatives meeting on Tuesday 27th March. My legs have been troublesome.
The only issue I would like to raise is the difficulty with the phones at weekends, when family and friends often have a problem getting through to the
correct floor. It is different during the week, as there is an option to be put through to either the Marie Antoinette or the Wynne suite.

Since my dad has been in the care home the food and entertainment has detoriated considerably in the last 6 months. Bupa increase the price significantly over 15% and did not inform us. This is not what I would expect for a private care home esp. being Bupa. Very disappointing.

Woodend Care Home

from J F (Husband of Resident) published on 2 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My wife has been suffering from dementia for the last three years, but has deteriorated recently. She became a resident here because we could no longer care for her properly at home. I have been very reassured with the care she is receiving, and I feel that she will be well looked after here. This makes
me feel comfortable.
The staff and management are first class, and always available to answer any queries as requests.

Colonia Court Care Home

from M R (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 May 2025

Care staff are great. Stretched at times, but not to detriment of residents. The unit (Mumford) looks tired + they need more sensory stimulation + activities in the garden. Garden needs work - uneven + pagoda rotten.
Biggest issue: laundry, lost/ruined clothes. (20 odd socks at last check!) trousers
shrunk, jumpers, etc stretched/unironed.

Ardenlea Grove Care Home

from Karen M (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Day staff excellent and care & relationship with Mom is really good. Night staff is ad-hoc, some brilliant but on occasions (not often) had Mom feeling less secure/reassured. On a general basis when we have raised concerns on the floor, action has been immediately taken which is appreciated. Room isn't
clean resulting in us cleaning sometimes (mainly floor). Pleased with Mom's support, we did expect a meeting with the care home manager to feedback on our observations & ask questions.

Wilton Manor Care Home

It is reassuring for me and my siblings to know that Mum is safe, comfortable and being cared for by kind, patient and respectful people. The staff are first class and we can't praise them enough. The home is well-run, kept clean and tidy and feels warm and welcoming.
My only concern is the steady
increase in fees, which have risen by 26% in the 2 1/2 years Mum has been a resident.

My mother was very distressed when I moved her into Wilton Manor but the staff managed the very stressful situation extremely well and have cared for her with compassion since that time. My only concern is the fast rise in fees!

My brother found this care home for our father and we arranged a visit so dad could see for himself. The welcome was more than we could have imagined and the home is amazing. My father is now a resident and couldn't more happy there. It is a clean comfortable happy home with lovely staff.

Whenever I visit my sister I always get a good morning and have a little chat with the receptionist. The carers always have a chat if they have time and the housekeepers are nice too and the security staff.
