Westfield Park Care Home

from Ian J (Son of Resident) published on 2 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This is the second time my Mam has stayed for temporary respite care. All I can say is that it has been a fantastic experience for her, and indeed for me too. The care is second to none and all of the staff have a can do disposition and are focused on giving the residents the best possible experience.
The food is fantastic too. Even in the short time my Mam was at the home she has flourished, making friends with the other residents. I would highly recommend it.

Cuttlebrook Hall

from Margaret O (Resident) published on 2 October 2025
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I was fortunate to spend 2 weeks in respite care at Cuttlebrook Hall in June-July 2025. The weather was extremely hot at the time. I was amazed and delighted that in the afternoons ice creams and ice lollies were offered to all residents. The choice to decline was respected. I think this gesture by
the management team serves to illustrate the ethos I experienced at Cuttlebrook Hall, one that places the needs of each individual resident firmly at the centre of the thoughtful care on offer whilst respecting the choice to decline it. It was obvious to me that all members of staff, whatever their function within this community, knew their residents, not just their names but also their individual personalities and needs. Staff interaction with each resident was warm and kindly whatever the need. From my experience, the interaction of staff with each other was cooperative and supportive. I can honestly say that during my time in Cuttlebrook Hall I did not hear or overhear a cross word. I believe that positive interpersonal relationships are the foundation stones of any thriving community. The responsibility for establishing and sustaining such a community lies with the management team. It was obvious to me that the team at Cuttlebrook Hall was one of like-minded people with shared standards and a clear vision of what person-centred care delivered with warmth, reassurance and professionalism looks like. They are to be congratulated. Yes, undoubtedly, the beautiful environment at Cuttlebrook Hall has a substantial effect on the quality of life of the residents. However, buildings and interiors are impersonal and grow tired with time. Funding is needed for their upkeep. In contrast, the ongoing positive interpersonal relationships that form this community are longstanding. Sustaining such a community requires insight, flexibility, hard work and co-operation while keeping holistic person-centred care at its heart. What Cuttlebrook management team offers in this regard is priceless. Would I be happy to entrust Cuttlebrook Hall with the care of a vulnerable relative? Speaking from my own experience and observation of this homely community as it is at present, the answer is a resounding 'Yes'!

Overall my mum's experience has been good since being a resident. There are a couple of things that need to be looked at, but on the whole my mum is being looked after well and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful

My step mother is a resident. It was my dads first birthday with out his wife at home. I emailed them telling them this and asked if the could do a cake for him. Answer yes they would be delighted to do so and it was in the diary. Well my husband and I took my dad to see his wife. All the staff were
kind and wished him a happy birthday. After lunch they took us upstairs to a family room, where they had decorated it with balloons, happy birthday signs. On a table in the room was the cake with sandwiches crisps and some bubbles with glasses. They sang to my dad, wished him happy birthday. This was so much more than I expected and my Dad said it was very kind and mad his day very special.
Thank you all so very much.

Drove up for the day to visit mum.
Just had a lovely lunch with mum, absolutely full after a three course meal!
Everyone was very happy to accommodate me after a long drive.
The lovely staff were kept busy making sure everyone ate something.

The atmosphere is always a happy one with the staff laughing and joking with the residents.

This amazing care home has been a lifeline to me during my husbands stay there for 8 months. They have given me back my husband as he was! He went in traumatised by several bereavements and poor mobility and he is so much improved in himself! He has been moved to another care uk home by social services-
the move was unsettling as everything was strange and new but I trust that he will have the continued excellent care there as he gets used to his new surroundings!

Elizabeth Lodge

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This is my second review for Elizabeth Lodge, but I felt compelled to write again as Mum is doing so well. At a recent family wedding, when people asked about her, the word I kept using was "thriving" - and that's why I wanted to share this update.
A special mention to the lifestyle team - - who encouraged
Mum to rediscover her love of painting after more than 20 years. Thanks to the regular art club they run, she is creating again, which has been wonderful for her and so moving for us.
The home feels like an extended family. Housekeeping do a brilliant job and always take time to chat, reception is welcoming and helpful, and the carers are kind, responsive and professional. The management team also know each resident and their family personally, which gives real reassurance.
We are so grateful to everyone for the difference they've made in Mum's life.

It was a difficult time when my father could no longer manage on his own, but I am so pleased to have found Ridley Manor Care Home. The staff are wonderful, so caring and welcoming. The facilities are excellent and there are many activities for the residents to enjoy. I would definitely recommend it
to others.

I visit Prince George weekly to visit my friend who has been there 4 years. I'm always greeted with a friendly welcoming hello. The staff are always friendly & I've observed the way they are with the Residents they treat them with care & respect nothing is to much bother & where possible always make
sure they get the best out of the numerous activities they put on which we also join in. The care that is provided in Prince George is outstanding & having worked myself in 2 homes in Suffolk I'd rate this best.. From management to domestic great team members.

As a son living far from my mother with dementia, I would often wonder how she was. But, as I learned of St. Vincent's brand of quality care for its residents, I became confident my mother was well taken care of with love & respect. When she passed, I could feel how the care home staff missed her like
family. For all these, I'm very grateful to St. Vincent's Care Home.

I went as a volunteer helper on the Felixstowe day out. The residents were all ready 9.30am & had breakfast - an amazing start by the staff. Patience needed to get 20 residents on the wheelchair lift to get in the coach. Noting was too much trouble for the staff, took their time, chatted & smiled with
residents. Fish & chips, ice cream, cups of tea and then a singer to round up the day at the sea. Perfect weather for a wonderful day. Thank you.

Mom has advanced dementia. She moved to St. Vincent's in July and we were very concerned the move would be disorientating and traumatic for her as she was very settled in the previous home. Obviously there was some confusion but the staff were absolutely brilliant with her. Much to our surprise and
relief Mom was extremely quickly very happy. She likes her new room and is much more involved in activities. For somebody who always likes to be busy this is working really well for her. We are particularly pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the attention to Mom's personal hygiene. Which is not an easy task for the carers as Mom has a very independent and stubborn streak. All in all we could not have wished for a better out come.
