The Potteries

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My mother spent 3 weeks in The Potteries care home. The room was lovely overlooking the gardens. We were met by the manager who explored everything to us. Even had a welcome card and gift bag - nice touch. Staff seemed caring, everywhere was very clean and residents seemed content. The lady on reception
was a bit distant, no conversation - a visitor to my mum also mentioned this. Otherwise mum seemed very happy.

Liberham Lodge

from Chris C (Son of Resident) published on 12 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Liberham Lodge has been excellent. My father had a month's respite care in LL whilst I was away on holiday as my mum wouldn't have been able to manage in an emergency.

A few months later, unfortunately my Dad had to go in permanently - but LL was full. We moved my dad into another home but it wasn't

satisfactory - the care did not feel up to standard. I worked with Christine from LL over a few weeks - and as soon as there was a space free she let me know and we moved my Dad.

I have been really happy with the care at LL - my Dad has Alzeimers and medical needs - and there are so many staff caring for him, it is excellent. The food is good, and they have a bar and cafe - and it is really welcoming.

My Dad has had issues, and they have called ambulances, checked on him in hospital and facilitated his release as soon as possible as the home is much better for him than hospital.

Everyone is great, bit I must highlight Marian, James, Christine & Chris. All lovely!

Mom and I are both very satisfied with the level of care she is receiving at Brook court.
Mom has resided there for 5 weeks now, and tells me she has not left a bite of food, the meals are of exceptional quality and she is thoroughly enjoying them.
Mom is enjoying attending all the activities, and
has made new friends. After 6 years housebound and living alone for the last 4 this is wonderful for her.
Brook court staff are friendly, professional, and supportive.
Mom and I are looking forward to the summer months when we can fully appreciate the beautiful landscaped gardens and the opportunity to sit outside on her patio area.
Overall an extremely positive experience and we are both very happy with Moms care and quality of life at Brook court.

Since mum moved to Deewater grange in February this year , mum has received outstanding care from all of the team at Deewater Grange . Everyone takes the time to support mum and everyone is friendly and helpful. The staff always go above and beyond making sure that mum is happy and settled .
Any questions
or requests we have had for mum have been dealt with promptly and it is so reassuring that we know mum is in such a wonderful home and being cared for by such wonderful people.
I would not hesitate to recommend Deewater Grange to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their loved ones.

Overall the staff are good and care to my Mother is good. I have notice a few staff members maybe not be as attentive to residents as they should be, mainly in the evening.
I am happy with the facilities at the care home, my mother's room is kept clean and tidy.

The team and facilities at Invicta Court have exceeded our expectations. We faced the unfortunate situation of my father being taken seriously ill and needed to arrange palliative care at short notice. Fortunately there was a space available and after a quick engagement process with Jaime and the
team, we were able to move Dad from the hospital into the care home. They have liaised brilliantly with both the hospital and hospice, and the staff give Dad the comfort, care and support he needs at this difficult time. The whole family knows that he is in good hands.

My Mum has resided at Stanecroft for the last 3 years and sadly this week passed away.
I can honestly say that they have provided my Mum with the utmost care and support during her time with them and in the past few weeks leading up to her passing have shown nothing but respect and love to not just
her but to us, her family.
We will miss the whole team that Emma successfully leads and our heartfelt gratitude to the carers who go above and beyond looking after the residents.
Our love and gratitude to you all x

On arriving, the friendly staff welcomed my husband and I. We were taken to my sisters room, and then we made our way back to the tea room.
Everyone we met were so nice and helpful. Thank you for looking after my sister. I have told about Monfort Manor to my friends. Outstanding all round.

Buchanan Court

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife has been a resident in the dementia suite at Buchanan Court since May 2019.
Her care has been outstanding throughout and always in line with the progressive needs of someone declining as a result of this disease.
Whilst managers have come and gone, the one critical aspect of their role has
always been to listen to residents and family members of those who can't speak for themselves. Issues are not brushed under the carpet, rather they are resolved and not allowed to fester.
In a multicultural environment it is not always easy to meet everyone's food palette but the menus are varied and there always seems to be something to please pretty much all residents.
The building is maintained to a high standard and the common areas and bedrooms are clean, fresh and tidy.
Overall this is a care home which sets itself high standards and lives up to expectation.
That might just be the reason why occupancy rates are so impressive.

Brook Court is the perfect homely setting for my Mum living with dementia. The newly decorated coffee shop area is welcoming and an ideal place to sit during a visit. The team of housekeepers do an amazing job keeping all areas thoroughly clean and tidy. Fantastic kitchen staff vary menus and there
is always a choice at mealtimes. Care staff know residents so so well and tailor care to meet their individual needs. They are warm and kind and very approachable. They always listen to any ideas and input from us as a family.
Activities are optional, but families are welcomed to take part too. A plan for the week is on the notice board so we can be involved.
On days that i can't visit her, i love that i can see what my Mum has or hasn't been up to by using an app to read and view comments and photos. We can also send in photos and messages.
Activities can be crafts and artwork, entertainers and minibus outings.
We feel so lucky as a family to have found Brook Court.

From day one I knew that I had made the right decision for Mum. The staff have many priorities when introducing a new resident to their new home, one of the most important was spending time and energy getting to know the needs and wants of Mum, making her feel comfortable and safe. Mum has been living
in Scarlet House for five months and has referred to it as home within a few months of moving in.
This is due to the expertise and warmth of care delivered by the staff, I couldn't have asked for more.
Scarlet House has a very proactive attitude for care and a very positive environment for my mum to live in.

My husband was a resident at Sherwood Grange for 3 years. During his time there I visited nearly every day and got to know know the carers and home very well. The core team of carers were there from the start which meant they knew him and the other residents very well. I found all the carers to be
very kind and caring to everyone, even the difficult residents. There is an activity team who organise outings and plenty going on within the home so most days they don't just sit in front of the TV all day. I have found that the management team are very hands on and approachable. My husband sadly passed away in September and as I didn't want him to go to hospital, he received end of life care in the home and for his last 3 days my son, daughter and I were able to be with him 24/7. Everyone was very kind and caring to us all and my husband. A number of the carers even attended my husbands funeral which is a testament to their caring nature. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Grange.

Perry Manor is an exceptional care home. My dad has lived there since August, initially for respite but now full-time, as we are no longer able to meet his care needs at home. The wonderful management and staff on the nursing level helped us navigate what was a very difficult time for my family and
we can't thank them enough. Perry Manor is now a home from home for all of my family. It is a lovely, caring environment for my dad to live in, all of the staff are fabulous, the food and cafe are wonderful. We are always greeted with a smile and that means so much.

I can't praise Holly Oak or recommend them enough based on our experience. Dad has been here a couple of months and we have found the level of care to be outstanding. The whole team are so very well linked up right from our arrival with Dad to the end of life care phase we are now unfortunately in.
The carers themselves are not just delivering a service as a job, they all genuinely care, show immense patience, respect and love for the patients and you can't buy that, that's all down to the dedication, integrity and empathy of and every member of the care team. The dignity, communications and connectivity we have had from the nursing team as things have changed, along with the support they provide to us the relatives in helping and supporting us all through a very difficult time has made a difficult time so much easier, removing the stress as we know we have done the right right thing for Dad. Thank you to the whole team at Holly Oak.
