On behalf of my grandma I can say that her time at Richmond House has been a progressive experience. She will be leaving being able to walk unassisted, dressing herself and feeding herself. After undergoing a spinal operation this is fantastic for my grandma and family as she will be returning home
soon. All of this is due to the caring and attentive staff and physios.

Mum has been at Mountview for over 3 years. She has always been very happy here, and as a family, we have been happy with the care and support given to her. There are always plenty of activities available to the residents, but Mum enjoys staying in her room, which she thinks is lovely. Staff do try
to get her involved and sometimes succeed!

Lydgate Lodge

Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Lydgate Lodge had really nice 'feel' about it from my first visit. The staff are great and always had time for a chat it I ever needed to ask anything. A big positive was the consistency of carers I got to know them on first name terms which made it so much easier on some pretty tough visits. Nothing
is ever perfect but the manahement were always open to listening to any concerns, although it was only a few months of care we couldn't wish for a better final few months for our loved family member.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Lydgate LodgeDear AO,
Wed like to extend our appreciation to you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review.
Positive reviews like this provide a real boost to our colleagues who work tirelessly to deliver the kindest possible care to residents. We appreciate your support and will strive to continue to uphold the highest standards for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

My Dad has been at cedar court since August 2025. He is a very fussy eater and Rachael the chef is amazing and has gone above and beyond to ensure that he has food that he likes and can eat, nothing is ever to much trouble.
The original care team from when my Dad first moved in have been amazing.
Tia, Sachin and Reema are always smiling and keeping up morale, Mo and Sue always ensure there's a cup of tea to hand along with a jam sandwich. Just to name a few as in general they are all amazing although clearly overworked, especially in recent weeks. These amazing people deserve more support and recognition for the amazing job they do.
Even the housekeeping team are on hand to help when needed.

Eastbourne House Care Home

My mother had multiple health issues, very poor mobility, dementia and could be very difficult. The care she received from the staff was first rate, they provided a friendly, supportive and loving environment for my mother in the last three years of her life.
It is difficult to make a judgment on
value for money, but the overall cost was very high.

Quiet in the daytime unless activities on. (Group of the children are here.)
When activities are on lots of interest.

I found everyone to be very helpful; nothing is too much trouble. The resident is happy in his surroundings and speaks highly of the care he receives.

My aunt has recently moved into Avon Court, and this was our first time of visiting. We were immediately impressed by the warmth of the staff and the homely atmosphere. We arrived just as my aunt was about to have lunch, and we were taken to see her in the dining room, which was laid out like a proper
restaurant - a lovely touch. The staff were actively engaging with her, getting her more involved with the other residents and activities. They were extremely attentive to her needs and very welcoming towards us.

This was my 1st time of visiting my aunt-in-law at Avon Court Care Home. From when we rang the doorbell to our leaving, the whole experience was positive. The welcome when we arrived was warm and the staff member knew where my aunt was and what she was doing. The staff were very kind and caring to the
resident as well as being very helpful to us - the visitors! A great 1st impression!

My husband has been this warm and welcoming care home for over a year now and I know I made the right choice. I'm so happy with not only the care assistants but all the staff, who are always happy to help and support. They genuinely care about his well being and this is so reassuring.
